From start to finish our experience with American Building Development (ABD) was exceptional. We wanted to have our 63 year old house re-sided because it desparately needed it. Our experience started with a consultation at our home with Dan Yarovenko and Chris. They were the sixth siding company we had met with, and the last. They were the only company that came truly prepared for our questions. And we had a lot! They were professional and knowledgeable. The others tended to change the subject or skate over the questions. ABD also handled all the permits necessary for the job. Not one of the other companies said anything about permits. American Building Development was not the least expensive nor were they the most expensive, but I found throughout the project that they were the BEST! As the permits came in quickly they were able to start sooner than we thought. The project started on a Thursday and Jorge's crew and the painting crew were very professional. They arrived by 8am and left by 4:30/5:00 with a lunch break in between. They cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. I really appreciated how they took care, not only with our house, but also the back patio and yard. The painting was completed on the day we left for Arizona. The project manager sent me pictures when it was done and it was beautiful. I wanted to come home from vacation that day! I would also like to acknowledge Karina who answered my many phone calls when I had questions. What she couldn't answer she found someone who could. She quickly responded each and every time. Project Manager Igor arrived earlier than the scheduled time and was very patient while waiting for me. I give the highest possible recommendation to American Building Development. I had some serious deck failings at my luxury home in Winchester Country Club (Meadow Vista), that caused some serious water intrusions into my home. Decks had to be completely rebuilt, and exterior rockwork redone, interior water damage repaired. ABD gave very fair and detailed estimates and bids for the substantial work involved, and for certain additional roof and gutter problems they also discovered. Their work crew was extremely professional, arriving early and working long and hard every day until the work was done, on time and on budget, leaving the worksite thoroughly cleaned every day (interior and exterior work). They also happily did a great job on some additional "honey do" work that I needed done around my home. Dmitriy of American Building Development came to my home and gave me an estimate for work I needed to be done. He was very professional and the estimate was very reasonable. In a few weeks the ABD crew came to my home to begin work. I needed some dry rot wood on the front elevation replaced and painted. I also had water damaged trim on my chimney replaced and painted. And, while they were already on the roof, they went around and fixed numerous cracked tiles that needed attention. They also caulked around all of my windows. Their work was excellent! They not only performed the work I contracted for, but went out of their way to do some additional work at no extra charge! I was in need of a contractor that would take on the the rebuilding my 40 year old, 840 sq ft covered deck. I had the good fortune to get in contact with American Building Development. Dan, Dmitry, and the crew were exceptional and the job they did exceeded all my expectations. The ABD crew were professional and respectful. It was a 7 day project. They arrived time every day at 8am and when they were finished at the end of the day they left my property spotless. This company was very promising when we first started working with them. They were responsive, quick, and helpful. However, after having the inspector come out after they replaced our dry rot we were informed that their work was not up to code. Rather than coming to fix their mistake and apologizing, they charged us and extra thousand to come and correct their poor handy work. At first I told all my friends and family to use them because I really liked them, now I advise all of those who have rated them highly to ensure that the work was actually done correctly. No one wants to pay thousands to have low quality work done. The red circles show the areas that they split the wood rather than replacing the beam. That makes it more likely to fail eventually. read more

ABD replaced our bedroom balcony which had dry rot due to water ingress. The original price for the water leak repair, of course, needed to be adjusted up due to the extent of the problem. I watched every stage of the work. The crew had a sharp focus on doing the right repair. They pulled in a structural repair crew when needed. The material quality was superb. Work inside was well masked with a relatively clean aftermath. We had a pretty good outcome overall. Now - this was not a "cheap" fix, but I thought the numbers - while quite hurtful - matched the kind of problem we were dealing with. So, overall, I am pretty happy with the work they performed. I contracted with ABD to replace the siding and trim on one side of my 2 story home and then paint the entire home. They did an amazing job and were very professional. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and helpful and pleasant to deal with. Vitalii, the painter, did an outstanding job. I have lived in my home for 45 years and have had it painted several times. Vitalii did the best paint job ever! He sealed everything as well as making certain the siding was in good shape and properly secured and then he applied 3 coats of paint. It looks terrific. Recently, I had ABD replace a deck staircase suffering from dry rot and reinforce the edge of the composite deck which was not well supported. It was a single day repair job. I did not have the dark red paint to match the deck railing and the deck is over twenty years old. So, there were some challenges with making it look good. Nonetheless, the great crew from ABD was able to build a color-matched sturdy new staircase and substantially reinforced the edge of the deck. They brought all the materials, got matching paint, and removed all of the construction waste to leave the work site clean and tidy. The quality of their work is obvious. I needed the deck on my balcony replaced due to dry rot. Nicholas assessed the work and provided a reasonable quote. Dima and Sigitas carefully replaced the damaged balcony deck--even working around the AC unit located on the balcony. They stained the new deck, primed and painted all repaired areas to match the existing color, and thoroughly cleaned the job site after the work was completed. The team did everything in one day.
