With the past storm I noticed my roof had sprung a major leak. Started on my back porch and eventually started coming out of a light switch. As you can imagine I freaked the heck out. I called Lorenzo and he was able to come out the same day with an estimate. Initially he wouldn't be available until after the new year which was less than ideal with more storms headed our way. Recently, while cleaning under the eaves, I observed an area of water intrusion under the paint. Upon removing the paint there appeared to be water damage to the wood. I contacted Gomez Diaz roofing and Lorenzo came out and gave me an estimate. Lorenzo and his crew arrived on time and started the repairs immediately. Upon removing the roofing shingles, there was more damage that required additional wood to be removed and replaced. Lorenzo and his crew removed all the damaged wood. Lorenzo and his great team, are honest, skilled, and offer great prices & customer service. My roof needed 1 end cap because the wind blew it off my house in windy Mountain House. Unfortunately I discovered, most Roof Contractors insist on a minimum charge! They all wanted $3K to $5K or more, for any work. Luckily through Yelp, I met Lorenzo. Lorenzo's rates are very reasonable and offers genuine, free estimates. He has NO minimum charge. Lorenzo did Not try to sell me other repair services because he said I only needed one new end cap. Lorenzo and his team replaced the end cap with a new one. Per great free Customer Service, he painted the new end cap and ALL the other end caps, one uniform color. I was interested in getting solar, but was told that I needed to update my roof because it was missing plywood and underlayment. I got quotes from ~5 roofers, with Lorenzo being one of them. After an assessment, he was able to quickly provide an estimate and a follow-up date to make the repairs. Gomez Roofing August 8, 2024 I researched many roofers and upon meeting Lorenzo and reviewing what he can do and when he could do it was pleasing. That day I sent him a text in reference to our conversation and he sent me an email explaining what he would do and when he could do it. The next day I called him back with questions on what was being done and could he give me a price without some of the options. Lorenzo gave me a few options and then replied "whatever you want I will do" Such a relief to have a contractor be so responsive and caring. I settled on getting everything done and we scheduled the service for August 8 at 8am and I texted Lorenzo to see if he could be a little early which he did. Upon arrival we talked about how long it would take, what was being done and materials. Lorenzo explained everything and his assistance went up on the roof to repair shingles, change the vent, seal the roof, add lead to certain areas and paint needed tiles and pipes. Get a second opinion!!!! We had a leak coming in from the ceiling of one of our bathrooms. Automatically thought it was a roof leak since we just had a weekend of heavy rain so called around and got Gomez Diaz to come out for an estimate same day since he was already in the area. Lorenzo came checked out the roof and gave me a quote for $3,800 for repair of a 10 x 10 area he said needed replacement. I had another company come out for an estimate a couple days later and told me my roof was dry and he asked to check out my attic to see if he could identify where leak was coming from. I made an appointment with these guys for 10AM. By 10:30 he was a no show. Text him, saying that I need some to show up to the agreed upon time. If Diaz wants to reschedule or let me know if you're running late, please be professional and notify me. Two hours later I got a text stating he was going to be late, with an apology. He did leave me a detail estimate and still wants to do my roof. So, I believe in second chances and reschedule again for 10Am. And wouldn't you know it, he was again a no show, never text or call me stating he was not going to keep the appointment. What the other two companies did not point out was the dry rot right next to another spot that I missed that Leonardo did not. For that reason I went with him and he did a great job.
