Because I'm short on time and finding reliable vendors is a hassle, I called him again when I needed roof work on a third rental property. Communication over the phone was so so. He often talks to other people while on a client call or interrupts a call if someone else is calling him. It felt rude and, most importantly, like my time wasn't being respected. What really prompted me to write this review is his comment that he won't leave his driveway without a $100 service call. I already agreed to pay $395 for a full roof maintenance service, which should include inspecting the roof for any issues. Asking for an additional fee on top of that feels like he's trying to take advantage. Proper maintenance work should uncover problems without a separate service call charge. Overall, I wouldn't recommend him if you value honesty, transparency, and respect for your time.

I did end up hiring him and he and his crew were very professional. They spent 4.5 hours each day for two days. He did not ask for any payment until the job was completed. He also gave me a 4 year warranty! My neighbor also used them noting that she had four other quotes and Ramirez was the best quote and she and I both agreed that he and his crew were very professional. I highly recommend this company. The first guy gave us a great $ Price $ quote, sadly he was not insured (um, huge red flag to me, anything to happen we would be at fault, or a grey area, and I dont need to deal with a grey area , someone getting hurt, and or lawsuits if it came to it. The other guys $ price $ ranged was close , just a few thousand dollars apart ish. But a few thousand is a few thousand, We are a budget family, only have one provider, my wife, I am on full Disability, so I try to help her with any thing I can, sometimes it hard due to my chronic pain, really takes it out of it, but she is Amazing.. ANYWAYS, back to this ROOF. lol "Davis Roofing", It came down to what ive researched , I narrowed it to 2 companies, "Davis Roofing" . I am very grateful that they took those massive boards/beams out, since they were really warp, so they replaced them, looks great like nothing happened or wasnt repaired. No charge , it was in our quote , so Im guessing they do that for all there customers, and part of there bussiness model , which is awsome and doesnt throw a wrench into the operation of the roof, and extra fees that is already expsive enough, lol... They really want to earn your business. And trust me they go the extra Mile for you. I could go on about there company and met with the owner, nice guy.. Getting a new roof can be very stressful, but NRG-Pros made the process stress free and seamless. Tom Thomas was amazing throughout the entire process. Tom made the process easy even though making this decision was difficult. He checked in on us, he came by to check on the progress, he answered all of my millions of questions. Juan Chavez was very responsive during all of the scheduling calls, and Eric Lloyd provided updates every single day during the process. Their communication was much appreciated. I talked to someone who said they'd call me back about coming out for a quote. A week later, after no return call, I called again and Eric came out the next day for a quote. The price was reasonable, so I said yes right away. We were having the house painted so it would be a few weeks until we would have them out. I called when we were ready to go. I had to call several times because no one ever returned any of my calls. When someone finally answered the phone they said they could come out the next day to take down the old gutters before the house was painted. No one showed up. I called to find out what happened and left voicemail. No one returned my calls, so I finally took the downspouts down myself. I called them back a couple days later letting them know the painting was complete and ready for them to install the gutters. They said they'd come out the following week (Tuesday at 9am). I was there, but no one showed up. I called several times that morning and left voice mail. Finally around noon, I called again and someone answered. He said that he was out of town and would have to check and find out what was going on. No one ever got back to me. I found someone else to do the work.

The Owner/Contractor David Saruhanov came out to meet me and discuss the project. He offered much more than the other two bids I got and he was very specific of the job they would do. What was most important to me was the warrantees, which he offered 25 year warranty for workmanship, and 50 warranty from GAF for any materials that should not hold up. The other two proposals only offered either a 7 year or 10 year warranty. I had a very good feeling when discussing the project with David that he would deliver what he said. And that is exactly what happened. I would highly recommend anyone needing roof repairs, new roofs, or reroofs, to check out The American Cool Construction Company. Their bid was barely more than the other two bids and the warranties much longer.
