AMAZING. I really should have gotten their names, but I highly want to thank the two guys that came over to my neighbor's house to rescue our neighborhood cat who somehow got stuck in the roof/attic. First company came out and quoted $800 to reseal furnace vent and fix 3 broken Tiles. I reached out to Tim yesterday and he said he would be by at 10am this morning. He replaced the tiles for a fraction of the cost and inspected the furnace vent and informed me that the water was coming from inside the vent and that it's common (and not a concern) during high wind and rain. A little over a year or so ago i had rescue roofer come look at a roof leak i had. They did their thing "identified" the problem quoted me $2200 to fix it. Paid, fixed...3 months later, it rains and still leaking from same spot. Call the back because they "warranty" their work. They bang around on the roof some more, couple months later... still leaking... same spot. Get ahold of tim again, they come back out and now they tell me it's probably leaking from somewhere other than what i paid $2200 for and that's the last i hear from them. About 6 weeks ago I had my HVAC system replaced by a great heating and air company. That company recommended Rescue Roofer due to some small vent issues they found while replacing my system. On November 6th, which was a Monday, I spoke with someone who was using a "timgdad@________" email address. Th there was an issue with a dropped call but e we finally spoke. He told me he would call back on the 8th and come out to the appointment on Thursday the 9th. When I didn't hear from him on the 8th, I reached out on the 9th (the day he was due to arrive). I texted the number/email address mentioned above and asked if they were still coming to my home. Nothing. Absolutely no response. To date I have not heard anything from this business. It's amazing how someone stays in business when their communication and promises have no value. If something comes up, say that. If you're short staffed, say that. If you don't want to do small jobs, say that. Communication equals reputation. People are a lot more empathic than businesses give them credit for. I understand struggle. I was sitting on the couch during the most recent storm and felt the dreaded drip drip of water hit my head. We searched the house and found another leak in a utility room. I went to call the emergency maintenance number for my landlord and then paused... we are homeowners now, It is all on us! I took to YELP, and thankfully you guys didn't let me down. I received a response from Rescue Roofers within 15 minutes!! They were able to come the next day before the next storms rolled in. Tim was very professional and friendly. I showed him the paperwork my Home Warranty wanted, where the leaks were and he grabbed his ladder and went to work. He asked me a few questions along the way about the homes history, we only bought it 6 months ago. He was even honest enough to tell me if we received a 2 year cert during our home sale, that all of the leaks and problems would be covered by the person who gave that cert. After a little while, he came down and showed me some pictures of my roof, the flashing around my skylight, some vents and a few patches and additions that have been made to the house. He had already fixed the leaks and made some preventable seals for no fee! I am so appreciative! I contacted Tim Glass, the owner of Rescue Roofer, yesterday requesting a quote for a minor roof leak I was experiencing from all the recent inclement weather. He said he could come out the next morning and take a look. He showed up exactly when he said he would, promptly went up on the roof (in the rain I might add) and determined the issue to be a damaged rubber boot around one of the roof vents.
