Here is a late/six-month review! After getting some other quotes and getting a feel for some other vendors, we chose to go with All Sides. We had an extensive exterior remodel done to our 70+ year old house. Exterior siding, exterior paint, new exterior lighting, new front door, replaced the side garage door, added a sliding glass door to our master bedroom, and a good amount of electrical work to round everything out. We worked with Ruslan and Gabe as the project managers while Nazer, Eric, and Jacob were the crew that did most of the exterior work. Edward and Vaska did the painting. We worked with Ruslan for new windows, exterior paint, and garage door, and are so happy with the outcome! He was able to quickly come out to give a quote. He gives competitive quotes, and we liked the Anlin windows his company offered for their quality and lifetime warranty. Ruslan was also very easy to get ahold of throughout the project. We replaced our original single pane windows with retrofit Anlin double pane. The crew did a great job with the install, protecting the space, clean up, and worked quickly to minimize the disruption to us. We had 14 windows + a French door for the patio, and they completed it in less than 2 days. Ruslan's brother, Alex, does the painting. My grandfather was the original owner, and since the 50s, the house was only painted by him twice in a DIY way, which was very evident in the exterior and stucco repair that was needed. Alex was very detailed and repaired a significant amount of stucco, and sanded areas of siding that needed it, and took great care in masking our new windows before painting. Our house has been an unmitigated disaster for two years running. We have had to replace every bathroom, every floor, the entire kitchen, the entire HVAC system, the hot water heater, pool pump, etc. We have had asbestos, mold, water damage etc. Just when we thought we were done we found we needed to replace every window in the house and redo the stucco. We got bids from five different siding companies, and in the end we went with All Sides even though they were not the cheapest. From the beginning Gabe worked with us and did not try to undersell to get the job. He listened to what we wanted and worked with us through making the best decisions on type of window, stucco, and a host of other issues. Gabriel & Ruslan came to our home and checked everything out and Gabriel told us what had to be repaired and what they were going to do. The sent out Alex and his team out to do the work and it went great. They did all the repairs and added all new windows and doors. Installed the new James Hardie siding to the house. After they prepared the whole house up and beyond what any others would have done. Edward was sent in with his painting crew and when the house was painted it looked better than it did when it was new in 1988. Gabriel arranged new gutters and a new garage door. I contacted with Ruslan to install new fiber cement siding, paint, install new windows, replace the garage door (and opener), replace my patio cover and teardown/replace my roof. His company even replaced some exterior doors. Ruslan went over all the different options, costs, maintenance and estimated lifetime of materials. He would even give his own opinions when asked. The men he employed (and the companies he subcontracted) all showed up when they were supposed to and worked all day. They cleaned up at the end of each day, which included looking around for nail/screws that may have been dropped. One worker even walked around with a magnet at the end. They were always respectful of myself and my property and answered any question I asked. I was notified of any problems that arose (dry rot found under the composite shingles and one other area) and was given what they thought was the best solution and allowed to make the decision on my own without any pressure. The additional cost was provided up front. I am not very knowledgeable about these kinds of things, but Ruslan and his men would always take the time to explain anything I was unclear about. Ruslan himself is very receptive and will talk to you about any concerns you may have about the work. I waited until after the winter storms to make this review. So far, I have encountered no issues with any of the work. No water intrusions anywhere and no wind damage. Everything still looks shiny and new. In my opinion, unknowledgeable as it may be, Ruslan's company did good work. If you are in the market for home repairs/renovations, I don't think you can go wrong hiring this company. ASHI provided outstanding service and results in identifying and making needed wood repairs and then painting our house's exterior. Ruslan always quickly responded to my text messages. On a Friday, he thoroughly inspected the exterior with me, noting items needing repair. On Monday, he gave me two quotes: one for the repairs and one for painting. The quotes were more than I'd anticipated, but based on the dozens of legitimate-sounding highly favorable ASHI reviews posted on Yelp!, we decided on Tuesday to hire ASHI. A big additional factor in our decision was the speed by which Ruslan said the work would be performed: repairs done on Thursday, and painting done the next Monday and Tuesday. Wow! And so it came to be: The job was finished a week after I signed the contract. Ruslan and his repair replaced the rotted trim wood with high-quality Ukrainian lumber on Thursday, and Edward and Dmitri prepped and painted the house on Monday and Tuesday as promised. Edward's attention to detail was outstanding, and he made several good suggestions for things I'd not considered.
