Eugene is awesome! I called him to fix a front door that wasn't closing properly. I asked him if the door jamb should be replaced. He said the door could be fixed without replacing the jamb. He was correct, fixing the problem without costing me a lot more money. I appreciate his honesty! He also responded quickly to my initial phone call and got the job done quickly. The door works perfectly.

I highly recommend Capital Carpentry for home improvements. After moving to the Sacramento Area there were several improvements needed in my home. Yovginy & his employees did a great job- installing ceiling fans, converting a hall closet into a kitchen panty, laminate flooring, shelving, base boards, and installing a new door with trim. Very polite and friendly- a real Jack of all trades! I will call him for all my home improvements. Oh yeah, and did I mention very affordable? I highly recommend him.

I had the pleasure of working with Yevgeniy from Capital CARPENTRY, and I couldn't be happier with his services. He was very responsive to my inquiry, called back right away and assured me he could work on my metal door. He arranged a time, and when the day came he contacted me first thing in the morning to confirm our appointment. Yevgeniy was right on time. He assessed the problem, informed me of the options, and skillfully fixed the lock on my metal door. Now it works perfectly! His price was very reasonable for the time spent and quality of work. Yevgeniy's expertise and professionalism are commendable. I highly recommend Yevgeniy for any carpentry needs. Thanks again for your outstanding service!

I can't say enough good things about Yevgeniy's service. He responded quickly to my call, and within no time, my broken kitchen cabinet drawer was as good as new. Yevgeniy's speed and precision are remarkable, and I'm giving him a solid 5-star rating for his quality work!

Rounded doors are not easy to do and it is difficult to find folks with the skills and precision as Eugene.

He showed up early, got straight to work, and the whole job took about 2 hours. The service was professional and efficient from start to finish. What I really appreciated was that Chris took the time to answer my questions and even pointed out some safety issues he noticed in the attic, which was genuinely helpful and not something he had to do. Solid workmanship, great communication, and someone I would feel comfortable hiring again and recommending to others.

Chris did an inspection for a small fee that would go toward the repair, and he clearly explained what he found and how he'd fix it. He showed up on time, was respectful of our home, and was very honest. He actually recommended we wait to repair the ceiling until after our roof was fixed so the work wouldn't be ruined if it rained, and I really appreciated that transparency. Once the roofing was done, he got us scheduled right away, knowing I was close to my due date. One of his teammates completed the repair, and Chris still came by to check on the work. Everything turned out great. Chris is responsive, professional, and clearly cares about the quality of his work. I'd absolutely use him again.

Jonathan was the main face of the company with whom I worked. He coordinated the work, worked with me on pricing, and was always easy to contact, responsive and polite. The work crew was amazing, going above and beyond to help me move some pieces of heavy furniture that would've been impossible for me. They worked hard with skill and care and were very fast. I would definitely hire them again for any future major projects.

I knew this wasn't good, as fungus means moisture and dead stuff (old wood). Thankfully this isn't a "M word" story (mold). But anyone would be concerned by a weird intrusion like this so I had Good Life come out and check it out. I had been dealing with real estate recently, and I was somewhat familiar with Good Life for home inspections so I gave them a shot at this repair. Project Manager Eugene arrived with one of the construction crew and they explained what they could do to assess the problem. We scheduled them to come out and pull off some drywall and do a moisture test. The next day they were able to confirm that water was getting into the wall from a part of the outside stucco and had caused extensive dry rot down to the studs. Obviously, this is where it sounds expensive. Eugene explained in detail what needed to be done to repair the damage and to prevent a future leak. He emailed me a detailed repair with a reasonable estimate, including an up front discussion on change orders that may need to be made. I approved the estimate online and felt confident that the guys knew what they were doing. Over the next week or so the crew from Good Life worked efficiently and professionally to remove the old stucco, wood and insulation and treat the fungus affected area which about 10 feet high by 8 feet wide on the exterior. Eugene called or updated me on the daily progress in-person and was very professional. The crew was Ukrainian and spoke some English along the way but Eugene and a couple others explained everything clearly. After a couple of detailed change orders the crew put the front of the house back together with fresh wood, insulation, stucco and a brick veneer that looked especially challenging. I was very impressed with the crew's versatility in how those guys were able make the house look the same down to the paint and the landscaping that was in front. Good Life did great work and made my house look good as new. They worked quickly and effectively and left a very clean result inside and outside. The cost was a good value for the amount of work I saw completed and the attention to detail. I would definitely call Good Life again for repairs, but hopefully we're done with anything at this level. Great job guys.

I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!
