Scotts a nice guy came over and gave a quote. Contacted after I purchased entry door for him to install. Said he would come out later in the week and look at again. Called him a couple weeks later he said he would be out later in the week and never heard from him again. Not sure what happened but you might want to have a fallback plan if you are working with him. read more

Don't bother with this guy, Scott. He has all kinds of excuses. We agreed to a start date and he cancelled at least 4 times over a period of three weeks. You are wasting your time if you think he could do your work in a timely manner. I had an event scheduled in my yard and he was to paint the patio cover, needless to say it wasn't done. Very disappointed cause he sings a good song of how good he is. read more

Five Stars!! I bought a retirement home in Davis that needed a lot of work, including an old deck that needed sanding, wood repairs, and making it handicap accessible. I found Scott through Yelp and unlike many others I called, Scott replied almost immediately and frankly just "sounded" like the right guy - he was professional and courteous, so we scheduled an appointment. Scott texted me a reminder a day before the appointment and showed up on-time. We had a detailed discussion of how to repair the deck, agreed on a price, and he returned and went to work. Throughout the project Scott's been punctual, professional, organized, courteous, and above all skilled and detail oriented. He's doing a beautiful job and takes pride in his work - something rare these days. He's a true professional in every sense of the word. His father was a carpenter, and that is where Scott learned his trade. Scott is also a great person. I don't feel at liberty to share his personal details, but he is a family man and former firefighter who was forced to retire early due to an extensive injury--although you'd never know it when you see him working! I was looking for a carpenter and after contacting more than ten carpenters Scott called us back. Our bar was damaged three weeks before our house was to go on the market and he agreed to come to our house on a Sunday to fix our bar. He showed up when he said he would and he went way above and beyond what he said he would do. His work is absolutely amazing!!!! He is extremely professional and he listened to what we wanted, made some recommendations based on him many years of finish carpentry experience, which turned out fantastic!!!!
