We always use Matthew's for our birthday cakes and they never let us down. This weekend we had picked up a cake we ordered on Thursday (fast service) a dulce de leche cake with cannoli filling and it was SOOO GOOD. They added on Chase from Paw Patrol because that was our theme! Amazing job on the cake and the flavor was everything! We will continue to support them and recommend them to all of our family and friends.

Nice bakery with a lot of different breads and pastries from Latin and South America along with the usual desserts. I ordered a mango mousse cake slice, black forest cake slice, and creme brulee. The creme brulee is delicious. So sweet and creamy. Highly recommend! The black forest cake was ok, not a huge fan though. I like the cream. I didn't taste the mango mousse, but I was told it was delicious. Credit cards only accepted for purchases of more than $10, but that's not hard. Prices are very reasonable.

Alfajor- not enough dulce de leche and had a turrón de doña pepa flavor

First time there. I got a small box of pastries: pionono, alfajores and one more I don't remember the name of it. Pionono was good; alfajor had the taste of turrón de Doña Pepa, which was not expected and overpowers the taste of dulce de leche, I didn't like it and needs more dulce de leche; last one was the one I don't remember the name... first bite and realized they only put a tiny ridiculous amount of dulce de leche at both ends and that's pretty much it. Here's a picture. Ridiculous! Can you just put more dulce de leche inside? Overall, a just ok product.

I've been buying from them since I was little. Although I am sad that their first location has been closed now, wherever I get the chance to go to the new location I do. I started off buying their bread, then went to the cookies and now I buy everything!! I loveee their fruit tarts, always get one for my bday. Their cookies are so delicious. I love their empanadas and muffins for breakfast, amazinggg. And their smoothies are delicious. There isn't anything I wouldn't recommended. Except maybe their large sugar cookies with m&m's, not the biggest fan. I wish they'd bring back the jumbo chocolate chip cookies they used to sell!!! But besides that I love everything they sell and if you guys are ever in the area you should definitely stop buy and buy some cookies or a slice of cake !!

I've driven past this place for months, and I finally made myself stop in and check it out. I'm really glad I did! It was incredibly busy, with a lot of people ordering various items. They have a long bakery counter, just loaded up with all sorts of goodies, from cakes to pastries to bread. This is the kind of bakery I've been looking for for ages! When it was my turn, I ordered an eclair and a slice of tiramisu. When I got them home, both were absolutely delicious, and the price was hard to beat, especially in this pricey area. I'll definitely be back - planning on ordering my next birthday cake from them!

I always love coming to this place. My family and I have been a fan for yours. I will literally come up with any excuse to come here. Our go-to cake is the tres leches cake with strawberry. The cake is light and moist and packed with that condensed milk flavor YUM. We recently tried the mango mousse as an alternative. Also a very good cake. It was a light and fluffy, whipped mango. I've also gotten other treats from them. Their empanadas are PACKED with filling. They add in egg in it, which I forget all the time and don't expect it. I've also gotten the stuffed breads for breakfast. I've had the hot dog and cheese, and also the BEC. Ask them to warm it up in the oven for you if you plan on eating it right away!

Mixed cookie tray, the pecan pfefferneusse-style cookies and apricot and raspberry thumbprints are regular favorites of mine

I am a fan of the pandan flavor desserts and bought two that I wanted to try. One being a roll cake and the other layer cake. The pandan roll cake with taro I was told is a specialty that they only have on weekends. It was really flavorful, moist and spongy, just perfectly touched with a dash of sweetness in both the cake and the cream - I personally don't like overly sweet foods, and this is just perfect for me and my mom. I'm equally pleased with the layer cake as well it was very fresh and have that "QQ" texture - deliciously chewy and bouncy. This too, just hit right for me on the gentle sweetness, the pandan flavor keeping the spotlight in this dessert. My mom and I are big fans of these desserts. We just came back trying out others pandan layer cakes in Downtown Flushing and this shop beats them by a large margin. I hope to come back more when we could even though this shop is quite a distance for us.

The pastries and breads had a perfect texture, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every item. The staff was friendly and helpful, explaining the different options and making recommendations without being pushy. The bakery itself is clean and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to browse and enjoy treats. Overall, Shinpuru Baking delivers top-quality baked goods and excellent service. I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fresh, tasty pastries.

The first bite you knew exactly what you just got ripped off for. The staff, was rude. "The ingredients are flown in from Europe and the cookies are handmade in the city" are you sure? "do you think I'm lying?" With an attitude? Well. Yes. In fact do less. Because if the ingredients are flown in from Europe they should know what they're doing with them because these my dear are from the continental cookie company. But don't bark at me when it's the single most dry cookie I've ever attempted to eat. The raspberry jam was so artificial. For 43.00 a pound at least get GOOD bulk cookies. Because for an employee to be as nasty and defensive but have an answer for everything? Just say you were wrong and move on, nope you wanted to argue. Brunette, glove on, to serve the dry cookies, only to then touch the lids with said glove between. Took cash while wearing glove, made change (23.00 for 5 small cookies and 2 small coffees) and then with the same hand put the cookies in a bag, while with the glove fiddling with stickers to close the bag. 7.50+ each for small coffees (one latte one cappuccino) neither made properly. An amalgamation of crumpled sugar packets that look like they'd been taken from other establishments stuffed in a small tin on the counter. You want to be some form of Parisian patisserie? Pretend better. Over priced and the entire case looks awful and if you're going to employ people who would rather play on their phone than do their job? At least make sure they can be composed. The young blonde was polite and kind throughout, the dark haired employee? Thankyou for telling us you're not the owner, because the owner should really evaluate your customer service. Needless to say we went back in to return the cookies because the one my husband choked down was enough but the abhorrent attitude solidified this being a terrible experience.

The knowledge of the staff truly stood out! She was incredibly informative about the cakes and pastries and even took the time to recommend latte flavor profiles that paired beautifully with the desserts. I've been coming here maybe 2-3 times a season since they opened about 12 years ago, but sometimes even 2-3 times A DAY. This is one of the few cafes I can confidently say is innovative while staying true to their classics. The churros are still going strong many years later, but then they're also coming out with fresh seasonal flavors all the time. Some of the best flavors of coffees I've had are at this place: jasmine matcha, maple black walnut, a proper not-too-sweet autumn spice, pistachio rose cardamom, tres leches, etc. They were doing a horchata cold brew before anyone in the area, and their alfajores cookies remain tasty as ever. I always get the espresso drinks, but their drip is great too. Food is awesome, but I wish there were more savory vegetarian options at every cafe. Still, at least it's not the same boring breakfast burrito here; the sage and manchego egg and cheese on sourdough is pretty solid. The pastries and desserts always look and taste fantastic too. live in MD but visit my parents in Stamford often, and Lorca is the spot I always find myself going to first. Plus, there's plenty of space ever since they expanded years ago, so you can bring a book and people watch the busiest street in Stamford. The service is fast, courteous, and friendly. The past few times I've gone they've been pretty slammed. They were quick but seemed maybe one person down? If they're hiring, please work here! I know their winter drinks are going to be just as good, and the holiday season gets busy. I think I need to get another autumn spice latte before I hit the Amtrak.
