Stopped in to check out the menu, and ordered a lavender chai latte. Customer service was great, and my drink was ready in no time. The small was smaller than anything I'd ever seen. I didn't even know cups came in that size ! The chai was lovely, though.

Great coffee right next to the Convention Center! I am not much of a coffee drinker but it was pretty good. The best things on their menu are the pastries, specifically the danishes and the everything croissants. The employees were very welcoming with smiles on their faces all 3 times I went. Ambiance was great especially the music and the indoor and outdoor seating. Would go back a 4th time if I could.

I've been to Matriarch for coffee a few times and have always had a delicious iced latte. The freshly ground coffee makes a difference! I love their community mission and the fact that they are black owned and trying to make a difference in Harborplace. It's the only coffee shop in the area (non DD or Sbux) and worth the walk around the harbor. The outdoor sitting area is very cute. I wish the were open longer hours whenever I'm on a evening walk!

I have had several "amazing" experiences when I've visited Matriarch Coffee. During my first visit, I was in the mood to try out one of Matriarch's specialty drinks. The Once in a Blue caught my eye. It has Blue butterfly pea matcha, lavender, French vanilla, oat milk and a double shot of espresso. The owner, who was making my drink, said he had an extra espresso shot and didn't want it to go to waste. He asked if I wanted it at no charge. I accepted. The drink was sweeter than what I typically get but a very good "dessert" coffee. During my second visit, my brother and I stopped by on a super chilly afternoon. I went in with the intention of getting a hot drink. Their Whiskey coffee (a Friday only thing) caught my eye. I inquired about it to the owner. I told him about a place in Florida that does the same thing that I order beans from regularly. After a short conversation, he said "You know your coffee" and grabbed samples of Matriarch's house coffee, their whiskey coffee hot and their whiskey cold brew. As much as I meant to get a hot coffee, the whiskey cold brew was too good to pass up. I got that with some oat milk. My brother, who is into sweet coffee, got a butterscotch coffee. We took a hot chocolate and mocha to go (for our wives). Everyone raved about their drink. Matriarch is expensive compared to some other local Baltimore shops. I think that is to be expected. It is located right along the harbor in a tourist spot. I'd imagine the rent is not cheap. Their drinks are really well done, the owner is super friendly, the ambiance and location are top tier and it is Black Owned. I don't mind paying a bit extra for that.

The best (and perhaps only) local coffee spot near the harbor! The coffee is really good, and the view is great! Bring a book and enjoy the people watching on the promenade. I've only gone at off times, but it is never crowded. Love to support a business with a community impact mission!

Sparkling jazz on the overhead; quick in and out if you want, or booths to linger. At 10am on a Saturday, it filled up quickly with people. Yay, cortado!

Great staff with a welcoming environment. The place had ample seating and wasn't crowded. Perfect to sit down and get work done. I also loved their pumpkin muffin.

Obsessed with their fall affogato and sweet baristas who can actually tell you about the menu. So don't be afraid to ask questions like I was. Haha I struggled to find the coffee shop the first time, so assuming you do too it's the green store behind the Water Taxi sign (I've added a photo) and left of 'It Sugar'. I've also seen a lot of people struggle to get in since there's so many window panels. There's a photo for visual guidance. Once inside, there's a warm, bordering on hot, sitting area, so you'll stay cozy and have a beautiful view of the Inner Harbor. The second door is to the right in front of you. It's a two panel door, so dont get frightened if it opens 'weird'. They also have free wifi posted on the board to the left of the second door and more seating. I come here every other day, so yeah this spot is awesome.

The view was its best feature, while the menu's unavailability and overpriced items like the $11 breakfast cobbler (just because it wasn't worth the price!) were disappointing. The coffee was unremarkable, the staff had its basic politeness. The heirloom granola cookie was deliciously sweet though. Might return. Sadly, it was a more disappointing experience for me than delightful.

Great atmosphere and location with a friendly staff! I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it wasn't great unfortunately :( If i'm ever back in Baltimore i'd order it again with 2% maybe.

When visiting anywhere I'm a sucker for a local coffee shop and this delivered that and more. Located right on the harbor, allowing you to sip your latte and enjoy your bagel while waterfront, it's a lovely locally owned shop with the nicest crew working and delicious product. I ordered a hazelnut latte and a blueberry bagel + cream cheese. I got them to go and found a nearby bench and enjoyed the view.

I really liked this place. After my Sunday run, it has become tradition to treat myself to a good cup of joe. I have been trying different coffee shops trying to find my home and this place was definitely a win for me. The main reason is the location. My run group leaves from rash field and this coffee shop was a few steps away. It definitely helps that the coffee is really good. They have a cute and warm outdoor/indoor space where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Great place to people watch too if you're anything like me. Overall, it's my kind of spot. It's not trendy but if you like good coffee and a warm place to relax, then check it out

What a great little coffee house in one of the pavilions at the Inner Harbor. Everything is so well done even down to the quality of the napkins. The space is small but welcoming and comfortable. The coffee is delicious. If you get lattes or cappuccinos their default milk is almond but they offer others. I haven't tried any other pastries/food besides the bagels because they are so good! I do also have my eyes on the scones though so will be trying those little homemade treats. Special shout out to the staff. What an amazing group of sweet and kind folks. This is my new stop for morning coffee and bagels when I go to my office downtown.

We went looking for a weekday breakfast near Fed Hill, and thought of Blue Moon Too. (Apr 2026)…read moreIt's an easy to find bright blue storefront on Light Street, just north of the Cross Street Market. At 10am on a weekday, we found metered street parking right at their corner. It's a large space, with walls covered with art. There's around 52 seats at tables of mostly 4 and 2, with one for around 12. There was a 2-seat-table set up outside, and a bunch more available down the side of the restaurant that could be set up. We chose a table for the two of us, and server immediately offered us hot coffee in big steaming mugs. The menu, available online and by QR code, is huge! We ordered Veggie Scramble: 3-eggs lusciously full of mushrooms onions green peppers and tomatoes. They let us choose feta cheese! And the hash browns were epic! A mountain of creamy shredded potatoes, well-done to a crispy crunchy surface! And we got their Huevos Rancheros: open-faced 2-egg tacos, flavorful medium-spicy Mexican chorizo sausage and salsa verde under melted cheddar-cheese, over warm soft corn tortillas, with a side of those amazing hashbrown shredded potatoes. We got the eggs scrambled. Both breakfast servings were ample and delicious. Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. A few flaws: They have no espresso! Waah! The strong black coffee tasted a little bit bitter, maybe brewing for too long, but it was fine with milk and sugar. We each had two cups, which tells you the bottom-line :-). And, we made a point of choosing a two-person table, while one person waiting for a date was asked rather sternly by the manager to leave their only 12-person-table for a larger group. Makes sense, but it might have come-across a little too harshly. While I'm fussing, i didnt see any food photos on the QR menu. Sigh. We loved our generous breakfast and the whole friendly artsy atmosphere. Everyone, even the switched-table, seemed comfortable, with friendly chatter filling the high-ceilinged hall. Their sandwichboard sign out front says "Best Breakfast Ever!" Pretty darn close!

Friendly staff and fast service. You cannot reserve ahead but my boyfriend and I were seated immediately because they had a table which just opened for 2. Not sure of the wait time outside of this experience. The decor is very 80s rock coded with a few movie classics along the way. I loved some of the artwork and every detail that they put into designing this place. Coffee: brewed nice and strong Stars of the food show: Sweet Baby Jesus: A burst of sweet and savory crab chunks sprinkled with old bay in every bite. The tomatoes were a refreshing break as your taste buds were recuperating from all of the savory melted cheese, hollandaise sauce, crispy hash browns, and delicious eggs. It's large enough to share but toooo good to want to share lol I thoroughly enjoyed this. Captain Crunch French Toast: This was the BEST French toast I've ever had. It's layers of goodness starting with fresh fruits on the top (blackberries, strawberries, and green apples). Next, fresh whipped cream. Then you move on to the perfectly crusted French toast and the captain crunch pieces sprinkled throughout the plate. I didn't need any syrup at all because it was sweet enough. But this was an amazing dish! My boyfriend and I did share this because it was shareable and we both wanted to indulge in it while enjoying our individual meals. I'm immediately planning our next visit to this place-definitely worth it.
