Everything is always amazing!!!! The service.... The food... the ambience!!! Whoever took over this place is doing a phenomenal job

Never been here before and decided to take my cousin and hubby for dinner. Service was great and there are lots of options on the menu that looked great. We sat outside on the patio and it started to rain really hard. We were quickly moved inside without a problem. I had the pizza and it was quite delicious with a thin little crust. Yum. read more

Sometimes I don't like giving reviews because it could have just been an off day. Nevertheless, this place is hit and miss. It was three of us and we wanted a burgers, wings and pizza, so we believed we were winning. For some reason they don't serve wings during brunch and they were waiting on a shipment...ok? So instead of wings, we ordered crab and avocado, pizza and 3 mini burger sliders. Cool. It took over 20 minutes for those items and the pizza was wrong. I believe our food sat in the window for a second before they realized or before I said something and then it came right out. The burgers were flavorful but dry. The pizza was tasty but the crab and avocado was a weirdly, different combo. The pita that came with it was amazing but all the together needs some revamping. I'm going to try the one in my area in DC to see how it compares. Meh. read more

Food is decent, nothing I would rave about. However the restaurant it's self is nice but overall the food is definitely over priced.

So my mom and I were here doing a bit of shopping and I wanted to try some place different than where we ate last time. I had this place on my mind so we came in and it was definitely an oasis since the humidity was starting to kick in. I knew I wanted a salad but the pizza was also calling to me too (a bbq chicken one on special). I saw they offered a bbq salmon salad and asked if I could sub bbq chicken, yes, they could. So awesome, also asked for extra crispy onions on it. My mom ordered the pear salad without any protein on it. While waiting for the food, I was admiring the very lovely bar area we were seated in. Very clean and comfortable and welcoming ambiance. Our server was very friendly and helpful too. Our food arrived and everything was fresh and delicious. The greens perfectly chilled with sliced warm bbq chicken. The bbq ranch was delicious and very similar to another restaurant that has a similar salad lol. My mom enjoyed her salad as well and she enjoyed a bite of chicken and some of my onions. So I enjoyed my meal so much that before we left for the day I ended up ordering that pizza. Also very delicious! Thin crispy crust with lots of onion and bbq chicken. Definitely will stop by again, so many yummy things to try, including a delicious dessert menu. read more

Very cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots to choose from on the menu. The shrimp and grits is amazing. The salmon entree is super good. And the pear salad with balsamic is also delicious. I love this restaurant and the service. Food comes out quickly and is very hot and tastes so fresh! Next time I'm here I'm going to try the pizzas, they look fantastic! read more

Amazing food!!! 8 pm on a Saturday night after a few solid hours of shopping at Sawgrass, we decided to try Matchbox. Inside the atmosphere is industrial/rustic. Really loved the interior. They have an open restaurant where the bar is both inside and outside. We opted to sit inside, and at first I thought it was warm but by end of meal I had forgotten about it. He had a glass of 'draft' wine...their pinot noir. We split a fried chicken cobb salad, and it was probably one of the best salads I have had period. The dressing was phenomenal. Then we split the spicy meatball, small. Again, the pizza was incredible...one of the best wood fired pizza I have consumed. Glad I ordered the small to share as if I would have ordered the large there is no question I would have devoured it. Ok...food incredible...why the 4 stars? Price. 2 glasses a wine, 1 salad, 1 small pizza...I walked out for $60. Just seems a tad high. Not out of character for the area, but in general. But will I be back? Oh yeah. read more

Food was great. Mark, our server, made awesome recommendations. We got the Fire and Smoke pizza based on his recommendation, and it was such a great combination of flavors. Highly suggest this place for a good meal and ask for Mark! read more

this place is really bad, service was terrible. the food was microwaved. just very sad from the first time we came here. i will definitely never come back. all the way down to the kids food was absolutely disgusting. read more

Thanks to all the fantastic friends who dragged themselves out of bed on a Sunday morning. To those of you making the drive from Miami, I tip my hat to you. ;-) This was a great gathering of friends with non-stop conversation and laughing. I told our service team to have no fear, we wouldn't bite so just jump right in... and they did. The food and service were right on the mark. I will make a point to mention my Pesto Pizza Bloody Mary... perfect! All of the entrees looked delicious and I know I will be returning to try more. Thank you Pete (Matchbox manager) for putting together the perfect setting. We started with the backroom to ourselves so we could be as loud as you know a group of Yelpers can be. He even gave us a choice of viewing (World Cup final game, of course) and music. Matchbox was a great setting for this hungry group of friends! read more

Nice atmosphere and nice menu. Large patio area with fans. I do wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options.

Have you been to Matchbox? What are you wait for, it's a great place to eat. We enjoyed a great lunch with David our waiter. He is nice and very attentive to the guest. The food is great they have an assortment of Pizzas and various wood fired dishes. You have to try the Mini Burgers, they are fantastic with their onion ring companions. Tuna Tacos were outstanding with a small sense of spicy. You need to stop by when visiting Sawgrass Mills. Oh one more thing, try the Bourbon Crisp! read more

Service is horrible. If you don't have an hour to wait for someone to ask you what you need don't go. Drinks are watered down too. It's the sawgrass ambiance is low. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is wonderful with outside seating. The place itself is beautiful. There were 12 of us so the pizza's ran the gamut of the menu - meat, garlic, pesto, etc. the pizza's themselves were delicious. A thin crust that wasn't a cracker and was itself good. Now to the service. Three times they came out with pizzas that we didn't order. One of the pizzas was supposed to be with white sauce but came out with red sauce. When my friend said she'd ordered with white sauce she was told it was the same thing. 1 of the glasses, 3 plates and 3 spoons were dirty. There are so many other restaurants close by that I don't think I'd choose to come back here. read more

Brought my family here. Everyone had a complaint. Overall it was ok but our check was $320 dollars for half Items to be returned. Wish the manager would have came to personally give an excuse for the "rough" day they have seem to be having but nope! Not happy about the experience For my family at all! Had 2 people that can barely drink but had complaints about their drinks. $15 each for juice, bot mixed well I mean I'm not happy at all. read more

The appetizer and the entrees were good. Sadly, the dessert was not on par with the rest of the food. If you don't mind terrible service but like good/decent food at a higher price range, this is the place for you. At the start of our visit to Matchbox, we noticed something was amiss when we were told there would be a 50-minute wait, even though there were many empty tables and not many people waiting. Being part of a small party made no sense. After 20 minutes, we were told our table was ready, as we were the only ones waiting for a table and no one else asked for a table after we arrived. Once we had a table and were seated, we had a slow waiter who took forever to do simple tasks, such as bringing us drinks or the menu. Despite several attempts, he couldn't find the milkshake menu. So, I ordered a simple chocolate milkshake, but after over an hour, I still hadn't received it. Everyone else at the table had finished eating, and the waiter finally asked if I still wanted the milkshake as dessert. I did not plan to sit and drink a milkshake after I finished eating. That is something you usually do from the beginning of the meal. Waiting for the check took about 30 minutes as the waiter repeatedly ignored us. I eventually had to go to the bathroom, and on the way back, another waiter rushed by me, disregarding my personal space, and made me get out of my way so he can pass by. read more

Thank you Amy for setting up this Brunch UYE! Many of us were newly introduced to MatchBox because of your event. And I know that we will be back again. Food was great, with some interesting selections and we all had wonderful time. The staff certainly fawned over us (without hanging over our heads) and were so accommodating. Again, thanks so much for setting it up! read more

For some reason the food is always slightly soggy and wilted regardless of what I order. It just doesn't seem exactly fresh. The menu has a lot of great items but it's just not as fresh as I would expect. Some of the prices are a little too high like the 6 wings... It's mostly a Bar type of menu but overpriced. read more

This place is terrible, every time I pick up an order there's an issue. Last time I called ahead for pick up, I arrived on my work break and they never put the order in, then never even apologized or offered anything. I placed my order again today and was waiting at the front desk for more than I should have, all the employees ignoring me then I got rang out and they didn't even give me my order, I had to reach over the counter and grab my bag. The first time I heard about Matchbox was in Maryland about 3 weeks ago. I didn't get a chance to try it but after coming back home, I found out that Sawgrass Mills Mall had a Matchbox. So of course I went there. The place is very nice, cozy, and brand new. We sat at the bar which had plenty of TVs to watch the World Cup. The staff was also pretty helpful. After looking over the menu, we decided to try the mini burger sliders and a custom Margarita pizza. The pizza was great but the burgers were the most incredible. On the surface, they look to be a simple burger. But they pack such a punch with flavor and juiciness and a little crunchy pickle under the patty. Top this with the fried onions, and this is all you will every need in your life. I highly recommend checking the place out and I will definitely be back before long! read more

I went with a party of 14 people. You could tell the waiter was overwhelmed with our party along with other tables. Super nice person and was always cordial so no complaints with the waiter. The drinks took forever to get to the table and when the got to the table there was issues, such as the wrong beer or the drink not being correct. I had four old fashioned drinks that were brought to the table one was sent Back and only one of them tasted like an old fashioned. The ambience is great and other things are quite questionable. I know in south florida it is hard for anything to be done correctly as far as service but please if you are going to charge above standard prices please have above standard quality. read more

Matchbox it's a restaurant located in sawgrass! The place decor is really nice! They offer outside seating as well, the place is huge and its a great thing, since its so big it cuts down the wait time! Their service starting by the hostess was awesome she greeted us, and it took less than 5 minutes to get us a table, it was a Saturday sometimes it could take up to 45min for a party of 6 in some places, so thats a great thing! They have a cool creative menu! Second time here, we were a table of 6 and the food came quick! The food is fresh and tasty, the fettuccine is a must try if you are a pasta lover!!! Our server Santiago was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu, sometimes you go to places and ask questions to the servers and they don't even know what's on each plate! Definitely will be back again! read more

Finally! Matchbox in Sofla and finally got to try it. I ordered one of their individual ,10" wood fire pizzas. Didn't think I'd eat the whole thing in one sitting, but I did. It was that good. The "Fire +Smoke" was my option. This was topped with red peppers, chipotle puree, onions, smoked Gouda and basil. A little spicy, but I like spicy. Can't wait to come back and try something new. read more

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while. It's very warm and inviting, you can see the theme "matchbox" all over the place. We sat at the bar, there was a happy hour going on because of the world cup game. I ordered the sliders and a pizza to share with my husband, it was plenty of food together with a nice cold beer. The server was on non smiling mode for the beginning but warmed up towards the end. Note: if you want to build a pizza, see of there is a pizza that you can just add up toppings, it's cheaper this way. We ordered a margueritta and added prosciutto and olives. Sliders were the best I've had in a while, worth coming back for those alone! Cheers read more

Wow what a disaster! Server named Desi was inattentive and rude. Took 10 minutes to be greeted at table let alone receive drinks cups or a straw. Food also took forever. Disappointed that there was Absolutely no choice of vegetarian options except for 3 pizzas. Not even on the appetizer menu. We thought the chef would alter and make the basic fettuccine Alfredo without meat choice but NOPE. It's a beautiful restaurant and wondered why there was no crowd and probably due the poor choice of menu. High time they rework on the menu options, bring more vegetarian options to attract crowd.
