Came here tonight and the food is always great and again tonight did not disappoint but our service was abominable!! He was pleasant but very new and beyond slow. Sadly management seemed not to care because they passed by several times without noticing our messy table , empty water glasses and our ridiculous long wait. So I don't put entire blame on him . Any way the wings were tasty especially the old bay ones. The burgers were delicious, the pizza was good but could have been a tad crispier - but taste was on point . The poke bowl was good. The chimichurri steak and fries was pretty tasty as well . Might be a while for our return solely based on poor service . Again he was sweet but obviously new and in need of support . Had issue with bill at end - won't go into but had to get manager at this point and we were not happy !! In the end after some discussion, management made it right . read more

Pros: Environment, diverse menu, brunch options, friendly staff. Pictured: Lemon Loaf French Toast I had brunch here and the meal was decent - nothing bad, but nothing to rave home about. Service was also decent - server was very nice, but nothing to rave home about. It's a medium place. Would probably give another star if I go back and have a more tasty meal. Can't argue with the prices though, they're reasonable. read more

It's ok, nice place, but nothing special. The food is good again, not special. Want to drink? Yes, go for it.

Everything was excellent. We loved all the food we ordered. Even though they were out of ranch. Christian was a nice and attentive server. Also the host im not sure her name but she is an African American woman she was very nice as well! (: read more

I happen to like Matchbox. Drinks and food excellent!! Atmosphere, very open, (wrap around bar) lively and unique. I have been here twice, both for happy hour. Happy hour is from 3pm - 7pm mon - fri which includes bites, pizza, select drinks, beer and wine. The food is delicious and so are the drinks. The first time I was here, it was a company sponsored event so yes, we ordered everything item from the happy hour bites menu plus 3 of the pizzas. The hamburgers come with a mountain of curly onion strings (straws) on top, I mean mountain. The place does get really packed during those hours. I highly recommend getting there early. read more

This place was actually surprisingly good. I'm not gonna lie, I thought this place was one of those restaurants that just popped up because it's trendy and let's face it... it's sawgrass mall so maybe a touristy attraction. But boy was I wrong. Incredibly beautiful new restaurant. The design of a perfect blend of dark wood and some modern industrial finish. Absolutely gorgeous and spacious with high ceilings. Has a bar and outside seating that can accompany large parties. Their tables design in the middle were literally matchboxes decorated with Disney Dalmatians on our table. Located by the high end outlook stores and the entrance of Colombia, Calvin Klein , forever 21 entrance with lots of free parking around. Came here for brunch with Yelper KC as my date and reservations no problem on a Saturday. Trust me u don't need to make reservations at this hour lol. Getting straight to the point one of their best sellers here is the pizza. Not really a thin crust gal but their pizza was fire!!!! Fire I tell you!!! I asked if we can do half and half and surprisingly we could! So we ordered a large pizza of matchbox meat and half prosciutto and white Turkish fig. Matchbox meat is basically a meat lovers pizza topped with Italian sausage, bacon, mozzarella and pepperoni. It was good don't get me wrong but I didn't expect to fall in love with the prosciutto and white Turkish fig more!!! Me Krizia L like arugula?! And Turkish fig on a pizza?! You'd think I was possessed. It was a pizza with mozzarella, danish Blue cheese topped with arugula, white Turkish fig and a drizzle of honey. Let me tell you. It was so so good! So savory flavor! Absolutely absolutely delicious to my surprise. I ate that thing fast. The size of their large pizza is a size of a medium size on average in my opinion. Given that it was a thin crust and we were hungry, both KC and I were able to finish the whole pizza. Scraped clean. We both also ordered cocktail drinks which were not bad $9. It wasn't amazing but decent. Bill wasn't so bad. We split and with tip each of us paid about $26. Dave our server, hats off to you. Thank you for the great service. I must add that he was incredibly knowledgeable of the restaurant menu and the restaurant itself. Kudos!!! This place is great for groups, socializing and I do recommend it for a nice casual "Tinder " date. They have a nice size bar. Never thought I'd say I'm hungry for thin crust pizza at a restaurant but now I do! Great everything. Thanks Matchbox! read more

Food is good and brunch here is good too. Prices are easy on the pockets. Haven't had anything we didn't like

Excellent food and friendly service. The tuna tacos were amazing and the crispy chicken was pretty good. I liked how they substituted for the asparagus and smashed potatoes. The server was friendly; however, she was a little flighty. She actually gave me another table's credit card slip and didn't realize it until I told her so. She then proceeds to tell me that she left my slip at the cash register and she needs to go and get it. ???? The classic is a really awesome dessert and the churros were pretty good, too. The place wasn't busy and my wife thinks that many persons don't know that this restaurant is here. If this is the case, they should work on their marketing. The food is really good although it is a bit pricey. It would be difficult to eat here consistently because of the prices. But I can definitely see us coming back for a special occasion. read more

This is our 3rd visit. Second time for sitting at a table. My first visit was 4 stars all the way. The mini burgers were juicy and delicious and the onion straws were fresh and crispy. Service was top notch. Today was the exact opposite. Service was horrible. I waited forever for my drink and he brought my friend the wrong beer. Our mini burgers were overcooked and the onion straws tasted like they had been out all day. If not for the patio pounder lemonade (I love it) I would never return here. read more

Very cool place with lots of menu options and seating options. We are currently eating keto, and the burger (sans bun) was a great option. The service was decent, the ambiance is what you come for. We sat outside (they could use a shade or tree to block the sun, it was beaming), it's great for ppl watching. Also a great location on the Colonnades at Sawgrass which makes getting there convenient, although parking sucks...but it's Sawgrass so that's to be expected. On Sunday's they have a great deal for $30 unlimited food (tapas, small plates, pizza) and the mimosas are discounted. The one tome before when we came we sat at the bar and our server had a heavy pour which was great! read more

Everyone at the restaurant were very polite, welcoming and ever-so-attentive. Restaurant tables are decorated with cutesie matchbox memorabilia. My favorites were the jalapeño margarita, tuna tartare tacos and the crispy half chicken entree. The jalapeño margarita is spicy and tangy. The tacos were spicy and meaty. The chicken in the entree was juicy. The chicken comes with buttery Yukon masked potatoes and grilled yummy asparagus. Very pleasant place with yummy food. read more

Gustavo provided excellent customer service. Extremely bubbly and attentive. Provide great recommendations. We ended up ordered two margaritas. One blackberry and strawberry. Both were delicious especially because they were also made by Gustavo. We ordered 2 cups of the cream of crab soup, as well as a pizza half holy grail margarita, half chicken pesto. Everything was a home run. This wasn't my first time visiting matchbox and won't be my last. Thank you Gustavo! read more

Per recommendation from a friend and of course my fellow yelpers I decided to go to Matchbox. The restaurant is fairly new but from the reviews seems to be pretty good. The restaurant is truly gorgeous the exterior is nice and a crisp design. The holiday decor was amazing and nicely put together. Inside I noticed a two story area, nice indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely decor gets 5 stars from me. It's my personal style and very eye catching might I add. This is my second time visiting and the experience this time around was amazing. I've visited this past Sunday for brunch and the menu looks great they still have their usual menu as well and $20 unlimited mimosas. I love the fact that they have four different type of juices you could use orange pineapple cranberry or peach. The calamari is amazing with the sweet and spicy jelly sauce . My table mates had the chicken and waffles, we had a large 14 inch meat pizza which was delicious. We also had a shrimp and grits appetizer which was delicious. My waitress Jessenia with amazing very sweet, attentive, and very accommodating. I would recommend her. The g.m Kevin is great as well Despite being a large venue make sure to work as we are in the room. Making sure all customers know he's available if there is any issues concerns or needs for help. Those characteristics alone can make a business thrive. I will sure to be back I think I found a new brunch spot and lunch spot. read more

This spot is amazing! Five stars~ especially if you like spicy food the fire + smoke pizza is perfect. The flavor was on point. I asked for it extra spicy and they did a great job! The service was also great and they took the safety precautious necessary. 10/10 for sure and would definitely come back again. read more

Great ambiance, nice decor. Two floors, indoor and outdoor seating. Nice looking bar seating as well. Food is great. Big portions for the kids tender meals, worth the $6! Pizza was thin and yummy. I ordered the chicken sandwich; chicken was a bit on the extra TOO crunchy side but the slaw toned it down a bit. Definitely not worth $15 for this sandwich. Not giving 5 stars, although our waitress was very friendly and helpful with menu options, we had to keep asking for refills. Not very attentive on refills; instead of just refilling one persons drink, maybe look at everyone's cup at the table and bring everyone their refill at one time or at least ask if they want another drink. Just checked on our table once; without us asking. Didn't have any regular sized to-go cups only kids sized cups. Maybe their brunch specials will be a better visit! read more

A horrible dinning experience. There was a 5 minute wait to be seated, a 10 minute wait to be approached by waitstaff, 30 minute wait for waitstaff to advise that one of the dishes was no longer available. Partial food orders arrived with last plate arriving 30 minutes after the first. This location is not recommended. read more

Our server Nick was great. Dined here on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed watching people out shopping from our comfortable outdoor table. I ordered the Fried Calamari with the Jalapeño Jelly and a side of marinara sauce (my personal request because I was concerned I wasn't going to like the jelly). I was presently surprised that the jelly went pretty good with the calamari. It goes equally good with the jelly as much as I like it with marinara sauce. I also tried the Beyond Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good but the sauce was a bit too sweet for the burger in my opinion, but I still liked it. We also ordered the guacamole/crab appetizer that comes with toasty pita-like bread. The bread and crab was so good! The guacamole was bland. Last, I tasted the donut dessert, that part of the meal was not that great. I ate one donut bite and lost interest in having another. The restaurant is pretty huge and I love the layout with the inside outside upstairs downstairs dining spots. And again the outdoor seats on the entry level has a nice patio view of mall goers. read more

The service was friendly but the food and drinks were not good. The Kahlua coffee martini tasted like watered down vodka. No taste of Kahlua or coffee. The fish and chips were small (maybe a total of 2-3 ounce of actual fish with a ton of batter) and the better was uncooked. Since it was 90% batter that wasn't cooked well, I sent it back and I also requested they just make it to-go. The remake of the fish was worse than the first and one of them was literally just fried batter with nothing in it. I was excited to try this restaurant but it was a total disappointment. read more

I come here often but this was one of the worst experiences ever. After sitting down had to wait for a waiter for 15 mins to show up. Place an order and asked for one of the kids meal as soon as possible. 30-35 mins they would show up with everything including the appetizers. I asked the waiter if we should eat appetizer or food? He said that they supposed to bring all the food together. I asked him when I placed an order and asked for kids meal first why he didn't say anything? We returned the appetizer since food would get cold. We noticed that our meal was already cold since it may have been sitting in the back for awhile already. Brough fries which we didn't order. Brought Coke which we didn't order. Never apologize for service or food. Did notify the manager and he took out $10 from the check lol read more

Was there yesterday, Saturday 3/16/24. Brunch was NOT brunch... half the menu was not available for some reason. Ended up getting what they had to offer, the all American. Eggs tasted funny, and potatoes were completely dry. Had to return it. then all of a sudden, brunch was no longer available. That wasn't even the worst part. The worst was seeing and hearing the bartender who was an older man discussing how horrible the managers and owner was. Apparently the "owner" and his wife were there also, and higher ups, all I know is according to him, "she's a bi**** and a C U Next Tuesday"... no discretion AT ALL and didn't even try to be quiet about it. It was shocking... very disrespectful and disappointing. on top of that, no music... you could hear screams from the kitchen and everything going on in the restaurant. It's a shame. read more

Through a quick search while on the area i was surprised to find this restaurant with so many great reviews so we didn't hesitate to pay them a visit. Located in the new wing outside of the sawgrass mill, this restaurant is spacious and Hip. You can find parking right outside the mall right across from it. The wait to be seated was not long and the service was nice. They have a good list of Wine and cocktails, to my opinion this is more of a happy hour restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of entrees, salads, burgers and wood fire pizza. We order their famous sliders and a cheese pizza. The food arrived warm but not hot. The pizza was okay, nothing great about it, sauce is a little spicy, and the sliders have a great presentation but they lack flavor and are dry...in my opinion they need some kind of ingredient to make them moist, like a sauce or cheese, they only come with the meat and a pickle on the toasted bun... and the string onions are kind of oily and bland. The restaurant has a good vibe and a nice decoration, looks like a good place to go on happy hour, but the food itself needs some improvement. read more
