PHENOMENAL matcha! Truly one of the best I've ever had! Came into Matcha Magic with a friend and got to try their classic Matcha Latte. It was perfectly semi-sweet, earthy, and had a good matcha to milk ratio. The service was decent for such a packed crowd - very nice to see the staff take their time to craft each drink in front of you. The ambiance is beautiful! I ordered the regular matcha, iced, and honestly it was really solid. You can tell they're not skimping on the matcha - the flavor is rich and earthy, the way good matcha should taste. None of that watered-down, barely-green stuff you sometimes get at other spots. It actually tastes like matcha. My only minor gripe is that they open at 9am, which felt a little late for a morning matcha run. I know, I know - I'm probably just spoiled by LA spots that open at 7 or earlier. Okay so 5 stars For the açaí bowl! It was so good and I loved the split bottom of coconut and açaí. The coconut was like light and fluffy and such good flavor. Fruit was fresh and it was absolutely delicious. I got the matcha marshmallow drink, I asked if it was over powering or artificial tasting and they said no but it's really sweet and I was like okay I'll get it. It was not sweet at all. It was sooooo light mallow flavor. I'd like to try it again with more flavor but the toasted flavor was there and it was good but it was almost like drinking "black" matcha without sweetener and a hint of toasted mallow in the background. Matcha Magic has expanded from their original Bellevue location over to Redmond, and I'm happy to see this local business doing so well! I've visited this new location twice so far, and the service has been fantastic both times. The employees are very sweet and happy to answer any questions one may have about the menu. Each drink is crafted with care as the staff uses a traditional bamboo chasen to whisk the matcha by hand to prevent any clumps. Between the Bellevue and Redmond locations, I've ordered a different drink each time, and they have all been delicious. Most recently, I went with a classic STRAWBERRY MATCHA which tasted natural and was very well balanced. The strawberry purée actually had little seeds in it! With this drink, the only way to adjust the sweetness is to reduce the amount of purée, but I decided not to manipulate the proportions, and it turned out perfect. I've ordered strawberry matcha at other tea shops before and they ended up tasting like a strawberry milkshake, but that's not the case here! This one was quite refreshing and crisp. I could actually taste the matcha, while the strawberry enhanced it beautifully and the oatmilk pulled it all together without dominating the flavor. On a separate occasion, I tried their HORCHATA MATCHA. While this one is on the sweeter end, I still really enjoyed it! The sweet cinnamony horchata melds so nicely with the matcha; I never would have thought to combine the two. It's no wonder why this is one of their most popular drinks. Although I haven't tried one of their seasonal drinks yet, they sound amazing. They've had eggnog matcha, pumpkin matcha, and even a hojicha latte. I look forward to seeing what specials will be available in the future. As for accessibility, it's street parking only, so that can be tough depending on the time of day. The location itself is smaller than their Bellevue location with a more narrow seating area. However, one of their walls can roll up, making for a nice open-air environment during the dry months. They're doing different things. they're taking Matcha green tea and creating fun fusion drinks that anybody and everybody would love!! What I'm most excited about is that they're vegan friendly!! And as a smoothie lover, including smoothie bowls, I was happily surprised to see what they offer smoothie bowls! Still love Matcha Magic. The Matcha Julep never lets me down and is sooo dang yummy! I like the Redmond location the most as it's easiest for me to find parking and it's super beautiful. The staff are always friendly and answer my questions. I finally tried the açaí bowl. I chose the uncrutsa-bowl. The açaí bowl was a miss sadly. The peanut butter, honey, bananas, strawberries, and hemp granola was good but idk if it was the açaí or pitaya but something had an off sour taste I couldn't finish the bowl even though I tried and it was expensive. I had taken to go so I couldn't mention to staff about the sourness but definitely would not order an açaí bowl from here again as it just was not it and super pricey for a somewhat smaller portion being honest. I will be returning for the julep matcha :) read more

I've been meaning to try out Matcha Magic for a while! I liked the decor of the place; really cute vibes. They have some interesting matcha varieties on the menu. I got the the Matcha Julep but I really want to try the Matcha Horchata or the Hojichata next time. I felt like the prices of the matcha was pretty typical, but the smoothies seemed a little pricey. A weird thing is that I ordered my drink online around 15 minutes in advance, but they didn't start making the drink until I got there and confirmed that I was there for pickup. So I had to wait a little bit extra. I think it would have been understandable if it were busy, but the shop was empty.. but anyways I enjoyed my drink :) read more

The location is a little hard to find a parking if you visit at a prime time. The interior design is modern and bright with lots of window. The service was fast and servers were friendly. I would say the price is moderate/high end since their smoothie was from 11-14 bucks. Ordered banana matcha and it was pretty decent, just wish the cup size was a little bigger for 11 dollars smoothie matcha was strong enough I could taste it with banana. THANK GOD they opened in Redmond. Love the other locations, this one is just so much more convenient for me. Several nearby parking lots, also tons of street parking. It is right next to a park with a lot too. It is so vibey in here. Pink walls, little sparkles everywhere. I ended up sitting to eat in the restaurant because it just felt a little magical being there. I am gluten free and could eat almost everything here. I got the lox toast on gluten free bread which was lovely. The thin-sliced cucumbers just made it perfect. I am not a regular matcha drinker so wanted something more playful. They recommended the Matcha Julep- YUM! It was a hint of matcha and plenty of creaminess and mint. So refreshing on a hot day and just perfect. The strawberry dream smoothie seems to be a dupe of the Hailey Bieber Erewhon one. I have had both- this one is better and 1/3 the price. It is out of this world. Coconut cream and strawberry, just perfection. The passion pit bowl was a treat. I was like shoveling it into my mouth. Unique flavors and iconic texture. Can't say enough good things! Matcha Magic had their grand opening today! Arrived at 8am when they opened and there was already a long queue out the door and around the building. For their grand opening, they had discounted drinks, strawberry matcha cookies, and mini flamingo drink floaties. I got the Purple Rain (lavender, ube, matcha), which was pretty good. Extra points to them for supporting reusable drink cups, which you can either purchase from them, or bring your own. I came here on Wednesday. I want to try it out. I always passed here a couple times so I decide to come inside. It wasn't packed that much and I am not a big Matcha person cause it has caffeine so I don't mess with that all but they had other options like smoothies and toast, and I got the strawberry smoothie it has strawberry, banana, avocado, and even homemade almond milk and the price is not bad at all for $13 and the service was amazing as soon as they came in they asked me if I need any help or any recommendation.
