Today around 10:00-10:14am I finished my sleep study I found out about the cafe being near. Sam at the register was very kind and helpful when it came to the ingredients and alternatives I needed with dairy egg and caffeine. It took tops two minute to go over before three minutes I was paying and getting a rewards card! Unfortunately the man right next to me was older and lacked class was filled with arrogance he had his commentary with no concept of time or patience followed by disrespect. You would think with some aging you would have manners. Here's the thing Sam handled it great she validated his thoughts and carried on with his order. The man himself was persistent Emoni had to intervene because his behavior was inappropriate. The man persisted to pursue the issue he was too close to that counter to be crossing a line.. Emoni made it clear that just because it is customer service does not give someone the authority to belittle her college nor her. Which by the way if you worked customer service you can imagine the frustration and things she could have said but didn't so good for her! Maybe she had to be loud because of everything going on but I don't think she did or said anything that crossed ends. A woman that followed in after him likely a wife or something started bad mouthing the situation but just with him.. which just provoked his emotional response and her ability to have emphasized those emotions only came in irrational results. He felt like he deserved nothing less but a sorry because he was a customer assuming his behavior was excusable overall making the setting uncomfortable. The woman under her breath beside me (a customer) that had her opinion tied to his experience overlooking the actions. Said wow what customer service! If you asked me I'm not with biased but definitely gives Karen and Chad energy. Here is the thing you can be on short time line based on your lack of time management and misuse that. You can be upset and address it but it does not give you the excuse to be a prick. Let alone not discuss it and only come with it's you you're the problem vibe. I'm glad that Emoni stood up for her and Sam. I really don't do any reviews at all not even for Amazon with thousand of pictures with the product lol. But I don't think Karen and Chad should cost this girl her job in the establishment just because he couldn't control himself. I also don't think he deserves anything from the buisness when he had no respect to the staff of the facility. I reassured that Emoni handled it well although she didn't need that from me and she was kind and valued that. I really hope these two have a lovely day and this "man" leaves the buisness alone if he can take yet be disrespectful towards it. No grown guy should ever carry that attitude or talk to anyone the way he did let alone with a woman in-fact to both women. If I had not come with maturity that I did I would be just as if not more disrespectful to him. I found him very triggering in my opinion. I love the everything about this place starting from the coffee and milk choice to the food and sweet options. I probably trying most of the food they have available there and I can't really decide what is my favorite. If you like quiche, it is the right place to go. This shop is one of my go-to coffee spots whenever I am in town and staying on the east side. The staff are always super friendly and efficient, and I appreciate that I there's never a long wait here to get a coffee compared to the Bellevue location. They have an epic selection of sandwiches and pastries with plenty of vegetarian and even a couple gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. They also use high quality ingredients including their own roasted beans and Monin brans syrups. She was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and shared that she's gluten free herself and was able to add that personal touch. The coffee is already great. This time I tried the vanilla cold brew which tasted great and exactly what I needed. I also got the lemon poppy seed muffin was sooooo good that it was hard to believe that it was gluten free. How I heard of this place: A long-time friend and fellow foodie suggested it for the only place to serve coffee "this good outside of Italy". With a recommendation like that, we had to make our way in. Type of cuisine: Espresso and energy beverages plus a small selection of pastries. Ambiance: Minimalist, sleek and modern with an emphasis placed on the bar, which took up one-third of the space, only a few tables and seating for those, and much space to stand/mill around. Mirrors covering the far wall as you enter give the air of a larger space. What I ordered: Quad-shot latte (made with their Rising roast) and two raw sugars, one strawberry danish and one lemon-blackberry scone. What I loved: The espresso. It was perfectly prepared, the milk perfectly frothed for sweetness and a thin layer of delicate, glossy foam atop. The pastries tasted stale and lacked the flavor and tasty treat satisfaction we had hoped. Why I loved it: The espresso - while not true Italian caliber - was wonderful, smooth, and balanced. I was so excited when this location opened up, more food options and easy access. I love their load days- usually a Tuesday and Wednesday if you load $50 on a gift card you get a free drink! The location of this coffee place is in a new apartment complex. There are some free parking spots in the rear lot but we decided to walk from our hotel instead. This is across the street from Hampton Inn and Kohl's. The modern decor welcomed us to stand in the line to order. There were only two women working today and they were quite busy, service was slow as I they needed a third worker on this Friday morning. The line was out the door when we arrived and the ladies were working. I did take a star off as the service was slow and not as friendly because they were working so frantically, I hope they will properly staff next time. They do not have the six feet markers and line inside as they have 4 tables inside. I did like that the staff was wearing gloves and noticed the cashier take off her gloves after handling cash. Each one of the inside tables has a sign on it to let you know if it is sanitized or needs sanitization. The coffee drinks were good. I liked my bees knees and my hubby liked his mocha. When they hand you the drinks they put a chocolate bean on top. The pastries were great. I loved my bacon, beechers and egg sandwich the bacon croissant was cheesy and full of flavor too. I come to this location for the large variety of food and pastries, in addition to their regular drink menu. Typically the service is quick, friendly and helpful. It's also less crowded than the flagship store so they seem to be more attentive. My daughter ordered a coffee-free caramel silk, and my husband got an americano with white chocolate. This is their newest location and so my best friend and I were hyped to check it out! She introduced me to Mercurys about 4 years ago and I have been hooked on their Bees Knees Latte ever since. Their new location has similar minimalistic aesthetics to their Bellevue Flagship Store/Roastery, but is obviously much smaller as it is located under an apartment or condo building. However, they have lots of pastries and offer all of their signature drinks like the Roastery. They even offer gelato! Since my friend and I came here for breakfast at 9am, I decided against the gelato and went for an everything bagel with lox (smoked salmon) and cream cheese ($9.95) and a 16-oz Bees Knees Latte, half-sweetened (about $6, but their prices aren't listed on the sign). With the 22% off discount and tax, my total came to about $12.50. My friend ordered the holiday special flourless whiskey chocolate cake (GF), a chocolate croissant, and a 16-oz latte. All employees and customers were wearing a mask and gloves. They also had social distance markings on the ground and hand sanitizer next to the register. Service was very quick and I got my bagel on the spot and my latte about 3 minutes after. Not only do they have excellent customer service, but they serve every drink with a complementary chocolate espresso bean. I think it really adds a nice touch to the whole coffee experience. The bagel and smoked salmon was good, but nothing out of the ordinary; I don't think I'd normally pay $10 for it, but it was a good savory complement to the sweet Bees Knees latte. The Bees Knees latte was just as a good as I remember it with strong notes of honey and cinnamon; I can't imagine getting it full sweetness though- half sweetness gave me enough of a sugar rush for the entire day! My friend enjoyed her chocolate cake and could taste the whiskey flavor. It was plenty rich, but she wished it oozed out more like a chocolate lava cake. Mercurys is hands down the best coffee in town. We usually go to the drive thru Mercurys in Redmond, but sometimes visit this particular location. The girl ("H") who made my drink made me a sugar version instead of the sugar free version that I ordered. When I checked to make sure it was sugar free, I was told "well our Breve isn't sugar free"....lol. I responded with "yes I know that. I just don't want the syrup full of sugar". She remade my drink but with a pretty bad attitude. When she slid it across the counter to me, I said thank you and she said nothing and didn't even look up. Perhaps if you read what the order said instead of chatting with your co-workers, you would have seen that I in fact did order a sugar free vanilla breve. Not my fault. This is not our usual experience with any Mercurys Coffee. Usually it's a 5 star experience across the board, but the attitude was a bit too much this time. read more

And I got myself a little treat, too, which was tasty. Located in Redmond, this place was popular on a Saturday morning. The line went by fast though, despite how many people were here, needing to get their caffeine fix. In addition to coffee, they had savory and sweet pastries and other quick food items on the go, as well as plenty of non-coffee drinks. In addition to a gift card, I decided to try the Blonde Hawaiian, which is one of their specialty blended drinks. It had white chocolate, macadamia nut and coconut, which seemed like a winning combination. Overall, I liked the drink, but would say that I wished I had tasted more coconut, as the macadamia and which chocolate seemed to be mostly what I tasted. But bonus points are that with my coffee, I also got a few free chocolate-covered espresso beans. Don't mind if I do. Mercurys seems to be everywhere I go, and I can see why. I've never been a huge coffee drinker, but after having worked at Starbucks in my senior year of high school, I got used to the taste of their espresso and never really ventured out. I had a gift card for Mercury's and swung by their Bellevue location on a hot day -- what a beautiful building!! They have a Reserve-y feel with the machines and merch available for purchase. Price was on point for an organic coffee The choice and variety of items offered was great, they even have ice cream. Upon walking in I could smell the coffee, the music playing set the tone for a good experience as I ordered and waited for my drink. I tried the holiday blend, it's not as good as the regular black coffee. The holiday blend has a bit more earthy tones so it's just not for me. It'll taste like cough syrup. But I was able to water it down with bottled water & it was fine after. Then - tried it a second time with 1.5 pumps - NO. 1/2 pump huckleberry a couple 5 pumps of chocolate I think 3 or 4 pumps the gal said. Great Coffee. Excellent Customer Service! My husband & I decided to order ahead online for pick up to save time before heading to the airport for our flight back home. Unfortunately we accidentally placed our order at the Bellevue location which we didn't realize until we walked into this location. We were greeted with smiles and "no worries!" They transferred our order over to this location. They were staffed up with four employees and it wasn't crowded at all. Keeping in mind this was a Sunday morning at 8am, so perhaps it gets a bit more busy later in the day. Regardless we were so thankful they accommodated us as we were on a tight schedule to make our flight. The food was good. The coffee was great. And the customer service was excellent! I have been going here frequently recently and the food is amazing! The chia seed oats are so good and big enough to have for breakfast two days in a row. The bacon and cheese croissant had me in a chokehold for a while and all the sweets inside tempt me every time. The interior is filled with mirrors which I love and the employees are all very nice and friendly. However I do think a redbull Italian soda being almost $10 is criminal but I've just switched to the blonde Hawaiian instead.
