I went in to have my truck topper key copied. I was worried that they wouldn't have the blank...but they did...saving me a lot of time and money re-keying the lock! They even went above and beyond and drilled a hole in my broken key so I could attach it to my keyring. Ask the price before getting the service!!! I have used Master Security Center for years, even when their shop was on Broadway. They installed 5 security doors for us many years ago. I have had good luck with the duplicate keys they have made, $3.87 each (a fare charge). BUT, this past week I was in to have an old lock rekeyed (I had the old and new key) and was charged $25.00! I should have asked what it would cost beforehand, but did not because I never thought it would be $25. Had I known, I would have gone down to Home Depot and bought a brand new "self keying" deadbolt! Word to the wise: ask what the cost will be before requesting the service. I will now think twice before going back. read more

I've been here twice both times on Fridays around 3PM. The first time, the business was completely closed up despite the hours being posted of Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM. The second time I arrived, I was told that even though the locksmith is normally around only until 4PM (even though the business hours are for an hour longer) she skipped out early for the weekend. I definitely need to counter the bad review as I have used Master regularly for two years (2013-2015). Jeanine is the woman who helps me at their retail counter, rekeys my numerous locks at my work, and comes within minutes to my shop when I have an emergency. Englewood Lock and Safe referred me here when they couldn't program the chip car key I purchased on Amazon. Master one upped my expectation and brought what I expect to be a universal programming computer out to my car and added the new key to my car instead. If I buy another blank car key online, will definitely go back. Per the other reviews, it does appear that the place closes early frequently. I would call before heading over there. read more

Went in for some keys duplicated. Considerably cheaper than Ace for auto key duplication. I've also had house keys duplicated in Lowes and got copies that didn't work. The duplicated from here worked great. The pricing was very fair and I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. Support local. read more

I showed up at Master Security when I was at my wits end. Three days prior to me visiting Master Security I had been all over most of Denver trying to find a lock smith that could help me with a European key to a residential building that is no longer made. Each stop before MSC, I was told "oh yeah, we can help" and each time I left empty handed. I showed up at MSC and 4 kids basically worked feverishly for an hour trying to help. Once they exhausted all measures Lenny (owner) was brought in. Unfortunately I ended up needing a new cylinder that had to be ordered from Israel, but in the end, MSC resolved my issue and despite it being an expensive fix, the bottom line is it got fixed and I am grateful. Master Security is a local locksmithing company within walking distance of our house. When our garage was recently burglarized the thieves got away with a house key. One of my neighbors recommended them and I headed down there, very upset by what had happened. On their recommendation we ended up going with a multi-lock key and Emtek hardware for installing new hardware for our entire house. That combination was fairly new to them and they ended up having some back and forth with these companies, but were very persistent until they found a solution that worked perfectly integrating the two different pieces of hardware (cylinder and doorknobs). The results are beautiful looking and we feel like we have a really terrific and beautiful, unpick-able solution that we expect will stand the test of time. I recommend Master Security Center unreservedly and wholeheartedly! You may need to be patient to get a solution like ours, but it's well worth the wait. read more

I had been trying to get a copy of my vehicle key cut so I could have a spare. After trying Ace Hardware and Pep Boys, they both told me that my key was unique and they were not able to help me. So I stopped by Master Security today and they were able to cut a duplicate no problem in less than 5 minutes. Very happy customer!! read more

I called this company on the evening of my move. My grandson and daughter were with me (the key we used to lock up the condo did not work to get us back in.) A rep arrived within an hour, but launched right into drilling out the existing lock. I asked him to stop and tell me how much it would be. It was to be around $350 - YIKES! High, but I didn't want a scene in front of my grandson. He was becoming insistent and intimidating. He said, "I got you in, now do you want a lock, too?" I said yes, but how much...ends up after he installed the lock, the price went up from about $350 to $520! He refused a credit card (web site says they take credit cards), and then tried to coerce me to get into his car while he took me to an ATM. I took my own car; my phone was dead after a day of moving, so I could not call the police. I paid $520 for a really cheap deadbolt. It was a NIGHTMARE and frankly, more than scary. read more
