    This is how long it takes to deal with ADT. Every time.

    If you're shopping for a home security system, stay away from ADT. We've been with them for a little over 3 years now. About a year and a half ago, we upgraded systems so we could move to their SVR camera system that records 24/7. They locked us into a contract until 2025... which didn't seem horrible because we live in a terrible neighborhood, we need a security system, we're never *not* going to have a security system, and honestly - how often do you shop for all new security equipment? We had cameras before with ADT. All same placement. One out by our cars. With the new 24/7 SVR recording system, they had to install all-new cameras. With that, the camera out by the cars doesn't work. It never stays connected. I'm on the phone with ADT nearly monthly. Today's call was nearly 2 hours. They've sent technicians probably around 10 times. They blame it on us every time. "You shouldn't have a camera that far away from your router." Well it worked with the old system, and also - we aren't install technicians. Last week I called again. The camera isn't working. The SVR device isn't working. Nothing is working. They sent another tech. HOWEVER - the agent told me that this time, if they couldn't fix it, they would refund me for all the cameras and let us out of our contract. SUCCESS! Well, it all stopped working again. So I called today. I was told, essentially, I was lying. "It's your word against ours." Literally. That's what he said. I asked if the calls are recorded. Yes. For quality assurance purposes. So I asked him to pull the call. He said they don't do that except under legal order. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said he would be happy to listen to the call but no matter what he heard, nobody at ADT, at any level, has any way to honor what she told me. So here we are. We're stuck paying ADT until 2025 for equipment that doesn't work. So, don't. Don't deal with ADT. Because once you're in, they don't care if your equipment works or not. And to make it worse, they can tell you anything on a recorded call to make you happy and then deny it.

    One of our smoke alarms starting going off almost a week ago. The batteries needed changing…read more Despite our best efforts, and even with the ADT rep on the phone, we could not get the unit to reset and stop the shrieking as we chnaged the batteries. Finally out of frustration we asked to have a technician out - cost = $59.95 just for coming out. He gets here today and after checking things out said we could not get the unit to reset because it was defective and needed to be replaced. So ... their defective unit we're still on the hook for $60+. While he was here we asked for the batteries to be replaced in all units so we didn't have to deal with this again. After going through the house he said we did not have ANY smoke alarms upstairs and wanted to charge $200 to place one up there. Walking upstairs I pointed to 3 that are hard wired in.When we called him on this he said yes, they are smoke alarms but not ADT alarms and I'm onlu concerned with ADT so if you're asking me you have NO alarms upstairs. Um, not true, but ok. Less than an hour after he left we had 5 CRITICAL alarms all trigger at exactly the same time. We called him to come back and he said it would be an addition $59.95 and it was probably that we had a radon leak somewhere. After 3 addiotional calls to the customer service number we have been denied our requests to speak to a supervisor. They agreed to send someone back out but informed us it may be the same man despite our saying we never wanted him back in our home again. At this point I just want to disconnect them and move on from his horrible experience. As soon as we can get a new life line medical alert system set up for SO we will be dumping them.

Over 6 months I have tried to get my refund, every time I call they say yes, we will refund your credit card for $488.00 and then nothing.

    This guy is a piece of work. I don't hire people or companies that lie and/or are late; he was…read moreboth. Anthony gave us an arrival time of 9-11AM with a 20 minute call ahead. At 10:50AM we still hadn't heard from him. We called twice and obviously woke him up on the second call. He said he wrote the time down wrong...really? You scheduled us! Lie #1. He said he was on his way, then called about 15 minutes later because he didn't have the address written down properly. I thought you were on your way? Lie #2. He said he had us down for noon, but didn't even make THAT time. Lie #3. If you're going to be late, flat out lie and waste our morning, maybe you need to think about getting your act together. Try the truth instead of insulting people's intelligence with lies and excuses. Big fail on your part, Anthony!

    We recently needed to upgrade our home's WiFi coverage to get us the bandwidth necessary for…read moremultiple home security cameras. Anthony came out to my home, free of charge, to assess our situation and give us a quote. The proposed solution and the quote were both great. What's more, Anthony was super patient with me as I asked lots of neurotic follow-up questions by email. On the day of the project (a Sunday, no less!), he came with a partner, calling about 45 minutes ahead to let us know his ETA. He and his partner were both courteous and respectful, and they both wore masks without me having to ask (this work took place in the age of COVID-19). Partway through the project, I threw in some last minute thoughts about a new TV antenna and Anthony graciously agreed to do that work the same day, for a very fair price. At the end of the project we realized that part of the WiFi system did not quite meet my initial expectations for specifications. Not a deal breaker, but also not what we were expecting. Anthony acknowledged the discrepancy and provided a fair discount to make up for it. The job he did was completed safely, and they made it look very clean in the end. When you're poking holes in walls, you always want to make sure it looks professional when all is said and done. Anthony nailed it. I'm very happy with the service I received and I would work with Digital Concepts again in the future, should such needs arise.
