I recently completed installing new door handles and re-keying the property in the process. Over the course of several visits, Arapahoe County Security Center was extremely easy to work with and quick to get my unique Schlage locks re-keyed, and copies of the new keys made. Prices were fair as well. Will definitely come back for future locksmithing and key needs. read more

I just moved to Aurora and needed to make a copy of my roommate's set of house keys. There are two: one regular key for the main door, and then a smaller one for the glass door on the outside. I went to THREE different stores (one being Home Depot) before coming here and they all just didn't have the smaller key on stock. I came here and the staff helped me quickly and smoothly. I was literally in and out of the store within 2min. Roughly $5 for the smaller key and a free key ring; they also will recut the key for you if you get home and it doesn't work for whatever reason. Loved my experience! Never gonna go anywhere else for my locksmith needs! read more

Updated review: Even after five years, this company still does a great job for locksmith services! I needed a complete rekeying of my vehicle and the service was done sooner than expected. Also, the total came just under the estimate, which was a welcome bonus. This shop always does great work for a fair price. If you need a locksmith, don't hesitate to stop by. read more

I had Louis from Arapahoe County Security Center for 2 problems related to a locked door and a jammed locking mechanism on a file cabinet. Louis did an excellent job, was courteous, professional, and efficient in completing my 2 jobs. I highly recommend Louis for anything related to lock problems based on my recent experience. Also, I have used Arapahoe County Security many times for home visits, instore visits, automobile related lock problems, etc. Has always been a great place to have home security problems solved. read more

I called them on the telephone and I was told they could make a key for my vehicles's ignition. When I got to their shop the employee confirmed he could make a key that would start my vehicles ignition. When he mede the key he gave me the code if I needed another key. The key would open a locked car door but would not start the car. They refused to refund me the $48.00 cost for the key! read more

Went ACSC after I called a bunch of locksmiths and they could never quote me a price or tell me if they could cut my F-150 keys without looking at them. I called ACSC and they said "yep, we'll cut them". They gave me a very honest estimate, not $135 per key like another guy was quoting me. And oh yea, I bought these keys on Amazon, so I knew I was taking a risk. I went in on a Thursday afternoon on my lunch and within 10 minutes I had two newly cut keys. I still needed to program them, but I have a kit to do that. I just needed these blanks cut so that I could program them. Went home hooked up the programming system and now I have two newly cut and programmed keys. These guy have my business from today forward. Thank you Steve for your honest work and professionalism. read more

Rekeyed my cylinder quickly, for reasonable price, and it works fine. Not much else to say.

Despite claiming to own the machine, not a single locksmith in Castle Rock had the professional skill and/or confidence to cut a simple blade key. I had to drive all the way to ACSC's Aurora location, but they had me in and out in 5 minutes for $5. If a competent, professional locksmith ever opens up in Castle Rock, they should be able to put these amateurs out of business. For those that are curious, the Vespa key system isn't coded by copying transponders, it's coded by the ECU in the engine in a simple programming procedure. I only needed a simple blade cut with any basic key cutting machine made within the last 100 years and a professional that knows how to use it. My Master Key is used to start a programming sequence with the ECU for additional Slave Keys. This unique system made the self-serve kiosks and the copying machines at the hardware and department stores useless. Two of the top locksmith companies in Castle Rock claim to have this standard cloning machine, but not the professional skill to use it. Thank goodness for the professionals at ACSC! Long story short, the key was a perfect copy and I had it coded do my Vespa's ECU in about 10 seconds after getting home. read more

I wanted to go to a brick and mortar business instead of a kiosk and found this place online. Easy to find in the Walmart parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff. I thought I had defective keys but they talked me through what the issue was and I ended up needing less than I thought I did. They quickly made my two keys and had several fashion ones to choose from (a little on the expensive side for fashion.) They also offer several types of current locks ( fingerprint, keypad etc) as well as safes for your home. They can come out and re-key your home, if you request it for a fee. Saturday morning our doorknob on the door from the house to the garage stopped working. I searched the web for how to repair it. I really could not find anything that would restore it to working order. As we had several family members transitioning in and out over the next couple of days, it was going to be a bigger nuisance than I was willing to accept, so I decided to contact a locksmith. After some research on Yelp, I selected Arapahoe County Security Center. When I reached out, they notified me that Saturdays automatically go into an overtime charge per hour and that if I could wait until Monday it would be a cheaper visit/repair. I elected for a Saturday repair because of the high weekend traffic we were going to have. The technician, Wolfgang, contacted me very quickly. I described the issue. He reminded me of the Saturday rates, but asked me to send a picture of the doorknob latch mechanism (the knobs were removed). He called me back immediately with a diagnoses of the problem, told me that I could pull the latch out myself, and install a new one from any hardware store for the cost of about $10. It was bit of a trick to remove the latch, and I had to contact Wolfgang for some confirmation, but it came out. The new latch, which cost me $7.37, was installed and everything worked perfectly. I was ecstatic. I have to say, while they didn't make money for providing services on me today, I will always recommend and choose this latch company. While I did not speak with the owner, Sheila, she clearly hires knowledgeable people, and fosters an environment of integrity and one of relationships. I highly recommend them for their knowledge, quality and skills, as well as their integrity! read more

With in 15 mins they had it re keyed and 2 new keys for about 15.00! I was completely amazed that it could be done so quickly and cost effective. Saved me about 25.00 plus got to help out the local guy. They can make a key for about anything. Great guys to work with a large selection of locks and safes in store if you're looking. I had an atypical request (re-keying the lock cylinder for my old 1994 Honda Accord trunk lid)... and they handled it better than the dealer could (or would? I needed a key programmed for our new used car. I asked for quotes through Yelp. They were one of the companies that replied. I drove to their store. Everyone was wearing masks, direction of travel was marked on the floor. They took care of programming my new key. I also brought in a motorcycle top case I needed a spare key for. They dug through the blanks on the wall, found the correct blank and made a perfect copy. Their prices were great. I always love the old school vibe you get inside a good lock shop. Almost as if time has stood still since simpler days. Good value and service at this business. I will be back. read more

Great company. I bought a used vehicle and there was only one key. So I bought a FOB on Amazon and thought I could just have it cut and programmed. I thought since I'm doing my used car key I might as well get a spare for my other vehicle. Inquired with Yelp and found Arapahoe County Security Center. My wife told me to message these folks since it's right next to where she gets her nails done. I am so glad I did. They messaged me right back and told me to drop by. After trying to program the FOB I bought on Amazon, it turned out it didn't work. Possibly damaged enroute. Instead of going through ordering another one on Amazon and waiting, I decided just to buy one at the shop. They had me on my way in about half an hour. And even gave me a better price, since my busted Amazon FOB wouldn't program. They were really friendly, very quick, and very reasonable. I will only use these folks when I need a locksmith. read more
