    The monitor glitching, I wasn't able to disarm my system

    I've been with vivint for 8 years and about 2 years ago they got HORRIBLE!! Absolutely horrible service, constant problems with the equipment, cameras not working or recording, door bell often glitching and only rings outside. Customer service claims that my camera was out to date and a new one needed be purchased for $250 ! so I did ! And still problems with the camera :/ the main modem freezing & glitching! I'm hate being with vivent! And not to mention, sometimes the system will set itself off saying someone is breaking in the window. Police will come & say no signs of breakin. And then Vivint will tell me that it must've been the wind! I spent over $7000 on their equipment! The biggest waste of money! I will never ever recommend anybody to the security system in my life again. Save yourself the headache and being on the phone with customer service all the time.

    3 charges, even 5 months after I cancelled.

    I had an extremely disappointing experience with Vivint. Despite calling customer service four separate times to cancel my service--each time receiving confirmation that my account was canceled--the company continued to charge me. It's now more than 5 months after I canceled on July 16, and I am still being charged. To make matters worse, I was charged three separate transactions on the same day. See photo. I have spent at least 4 hours of my life talking to their customer service team; they owe me back payments of more than $350, and I now have to cancel my credit card on file as the only means to ensure this gets taken care of. Their inability to handle basic customer transactions demonstrates gross incompetence or a deliberate disregard for customer trust. Buyer beware: unless you want to be charged for months after cancellation, avoid signing up for this service. This level of mismanagement and poor customer service is unacceptable.

    VIVINT ! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The error on my panel reads: "Your panel's cell connection is not working. Let's get it fixed." They said it was necessary to send a tech out to repair. I declined as it was a $100 charge. They said they would make it free. The tech said I needed to get a signal booster from Verizon. Verizon won't sell me one. Then the bill for the tech came through for $109. I called customer service and they said it was resolved and that it would take 3 days to correct on their website. It has now been almost a month, with no change. I have called and the reps all say the same thing. Now they are writing me and texting me and calling me about a past due bill.

    One of our smoke alarms starting going off almost a week ago. The batteries needed changing…read more Despite our best efforts, and even with the ADT rep on the phone, we could not get the unit to reset and stop the shrieking as we chnaged the batteries. Finally out of frustration we asked to have a technician out - cost = $59.95 just for coming out. He gets here today and after checking things out said we could not get the unit to reset because it was defective and needed to be replaced. So ... their defective unit we're still on the hook for $60+. While he was here we asked for the batteries to be replaced in all units so we didn't have to deal with this again. After going through the house he said we did not have ANY smoke alarms upstairs and wanted to charge $200 to place one up there. Walking upstairs I pointed to 3 that are hard wired in.When we called him on this he said yes, they are smoke alarms but not ADT alarms and I'm onlu concerned with ADT so if you're asking me you have NO alarms upstairs. Um, not true, but ok. Less than an hour after he left we had 5 CRITICAL alarms all trigger at exactly the same time. We called him to come back and he said it would be an addition $59.95 and it was probably that we had a radon leak somewhere. After 3 addiotional calls to the customer service number we have been denied our requests to speak to a supervisor. They agreed to send someone back out but informed us it may be the same man despite our saying we never wanted him back in our home again. At this point I just want to disconnect them and move on from his horrible experience. As soon as we can get a new life line medical alert system set up for SO we will be dumping them.

Over 6 months I have tried to get my refund, every time I call they say yes, we will refund your credit card for $488.00 and then nothing.

    Had service for a cpl yrs while traveling. The last 7-8 yrs the traveling has stopped and decided…read morethat the system wasn't needed. A rep came out a +year ago, I gave her the information, and after several sale pitches and my consistent response of "Not interested" she punched in a cpl of numbers on the security pads and said no problem and left. Last week the power went out and every time the door to the garage was opened a chime/chirping went off in two of the security pads. I was one the phone w/ADT for over an hour today trying to get help. I was transferred from "technical services" to SAlES who told me I had a balance for over a hundred dollars and kept trying so sell more services. I told"Rich" in sales/accounting I had not gotten a bill in 8 years!!! I spent 20 minutes telling Rich I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN ANOTHER SUBSCRIPTION WITH ADT, he said it would take about 30 days for the service to be disconnected, and was finally transferred BACK to "FAY" in Technical services (?) Another 20 minutes being told they could NOT send a service rep out until to help with chirping the bill was paid and it would cost another +$100.00 for a rep to come out. Instead "Fay" in technical services wanted me to get a screw drive and a step ladder and find the transformer and battery in the basement to disconnect it myself.!!!
