ATM, I can't recommend this company. They are not available when you need them. We've had to ask for multiple things to be fixed and had to badger them to do it. I've asked for call back on Facebook, their own email contact system...and received no follow-up. Rip Off Alert!!! Ok so Reliable does a good job installing, but the deal is that they sell your contract to Brinks Home Security. I suggest you go read reviews for Brinks Home Security, it's terrible. Reliable signed a contract with me and violated that contract through a rate hike, I called and they can't do anything about it and so you have to go through Brinks which is horrendous. Beware of what you're signing up for. It's 2018, do yourself a favor, use NEST aware or one of the smart home devices company. These legacy companies should seize to exist. read more

Highly recommend! I Yelp messaged them the night our house was broken into and I walked in on it, every piece of jewelry (and memories) stolen. A truly saddening and scary experience. My home was recently broken into and many valuables stolen. The thieves took the time to try to break into multiple points in our home - we were on vacation. My roommates and I live in Cory-Merrill which is regarded as a nice neighborhood in Denver proper so we were surprised that someone spent the time and effort to break into our modest home. I called Matt and was able to get a monitored security system installed in our home within 48 hours. Although a little pricey (we are renting and bought the equipment outright) the cost of the system is nothing compared to the peace of mind my roommates and I now have. Trust me, prevention is key. The thieves who broke into our home took much more than the cost of the security system. I love our security system - from the time I called Matt to the installation everything went smoothly. The app (alarm.com) that comes with the system is awesome! I can secure my home remotely as well as can check up on the home while at work. If you need a security system this is the one for you. I had a great experience from start to finish, from talking to Matt about a quote and my options, to Colin installing the system and explaining how it works. Talking to Matt about my quote was a good experience since he explained all the pros and cons about installing certain sensors versus others. I liked that there was no pressure to sign up (unlike other companies I've called prior, who kept hounding me over email and phone call about signing up for their company). The price is also competitive for the equipment and service that you pay for. The equipment itself is easy to use and straightforward. I like the touch screen interface and audible confirmation that your house is armed or not. I'm very late in actually writing a review. Our home was robbed a few years ago. After that incident, I no longer felt safe in my own home. We decided to get an alarm system. I was really anti-ADT, but checked out the home alarm system and felt the service was very expensive for the limited support it provided. I looked on yelp and saw different companies and options. Reliable Home Security was one of the best rated. Once I researched their website and called to speak with someone, that person was very helpful in explaining their options and I found their rates to be very reasonable. I set up an appointment within the next week. The installer came out, installed the system and explained how it all worked. He helped me download the app via Alarm.com. The monitoring company is Monitronics and whom the bill comes from monthly. I found Reliable Home Security to be very professional throughout the process. We searched and got quotes from many big brand security brands and came across Reliable Home Security...And I'm glad we did. We purchased a new home which had a pre-wired home system in it. We called and scheduled Matt to come out and install the 3 panels, the automated locking front door, and garage door automation for both our garages. The install took a good part of the day, only because we had so much to put into the house. The only issue we ran into during the whole install was that the garage automation wasn't connecting to our router (Apple Extreme). The solution was we needed a non-apple router for the garage automation hub. Matt said he would look into the issue with the Apple product, but I should purchase another router to see if that worked. If it did, call him and he would walk me through setting the garage automation up. Flash forward about a week, we bought the router and it connected to the garage hub. However, the signals were having issues (We have two garage doors). We couldn't trouble shoot the issue via phone so Matt came out a few days later and fixed the problem. Overall, the experience with this has been one of the best considering the amount of technology our home now has. Matt spent time showing us how each piece of equipment worked, but most importantly, Matt and Reliable are there to take calls and answer questions and ensure their work is complete. I'm very happy we chose a local company with great customer service. I highly suggest Reliable Home Security. And what's great is everything is controlled and configured from your mobile device. It's amazing technology. Their prices and monitoring are competitive and the only reason the don't rank higher on websites that rank home security companies is ONLY because they haven't been around very long. That's it. Really glad I went with this security company. Matt called me within minutes after I requested a quote online. He was very thorough, answered all my questions, but wasn't pushy at all. Collin came to my home to install the system within just a couple business days, and he was great too. Matt had given me an arrival window, and he called prior to that to let me know about when he expected to be there, and again later on to update me. My wife and I had our first home security system installed yesterday. I was impressed by how cheap and easy the whole process has been. I inquired online, Matt (Sales) reached out to me, walked more through their product offering, gave me a quote while I was on the phone. All in 15 minutes. $99 install, $40 per month. For security and peace of mind. I couldn't say no. Adam (technician) came out 3 days later to install. He took about 30 minutes to install the system and another 30 minutes to walk us through the mobile and on-line applications, how the system works, how he uses it in his own home, etc. I'll be reaching out shortly to explore their other smart home capabilities. I generally don't give 5 stars, but I'm having a really hard time justifying anything less. I'll provide an update in a few months if anything changes. read more

I have like no words to describe the guys at Reliable Home Security. I am a first time homeowner, so the process of getting an alarm to protect my new asset was overwhelming... at first. I called several companies in the neighborhood and around town. I had several questions about price and how effective each system was as well as would the instillation be fast or slow. I was also worried about if the instillation would damage the house in any way. SEVERAL companies just wanted to rush through and give me a bid over the phone. I felt rushed to get my money and not understand the service. I was so frustrated and had no idea where to turn... that was until I called Reliable Home security. I found them through a Google search... and I'm so glad I did. First I called. I didn't have to wait on hold for forever. I got through and I reached the nice guys there. Update: The security system who this company uses (Moni) is TERRIBLE! No follow up. We had an alarm go off in our house and the police where called. Then a second alarm went off and then a third (motion sensors). I called the police station after about a half hour, looking for an update. THEY WERE NEVER NOTIFIED! I am editing my original review. While I am still very disappointed with their office customer service, I received a call tonight from Jake whom I have worked with several times in the past. He has always been super helpful and responsive and that has not changed. He took the time to look up the type of siren I have and to troubleshoot possible solutions. He is even willing to call me after hours to try and fix my problem. I am beyond grateful and relieved that he is still there. Now they just need to work on whomever is answering their phones and speaking to customers. I used to be EXTREMELY happy with the customer service when Matt was there. I had multiple issues with my garage portion of my system and he was always super responsive and helpful. He is no longer there and their customer service apparently left with him. All the positive reviews specifically mention Matt who was an absolute gem. I called this morning as my wireless siren is going off and will not turn off. I left message but did not receive return call. I called again and was basically blown off and told to call Brinks. I explained that I have always been able to call Reliable and Matt would send tech out. Person I spoke to just kept telling me that they are a dealer and to call the 800 number. Less than helpful. My contract is up and I am now actively shopping for new security service. read more

11/6/2017 So I am updating my review, because I guess my review was more-so against one of their monitoring companies that they work with, MoniSecurity. MoniSecurity is like a collections company. I had one unpaid $35 charge and they constantly kept calling me. During work I would get 3 calls. I have the security system on auto-pay so that was being paid for. The $35 was for a false alarm. They were driving me nuts. Multiple times a day I would get calls from them and out of spite when I did have time to pick up I didn't because my customer experiences with them have been terrible. Enough about Moni.... I like how Matt reached out promptly to get my issues resolved and trying to find solutions. It looks like they have other providers which is fine by me. They have been very professional and hoping to continue having a positive experience with them. Hate the system. I had the installed silence the alarm so if it ever went off my pet rabbits wouldn't have a heart attack. When construction was happening my contractors would forget to shut it off so I stopped using it. Then between me and my roommate we kept forgetting to turn it off which is our fault so I paid the $35 fees each time. In order to fix the issue I changed the arrangement of who is called to my roommate who is more responsive to calls. I change it and when it happens again they call me first and it isn't updated. I go ahead and update it and it happens again and they call me again as the first contact and this time his phone number doesn't work. We are literally standing together and he did not have any calls from them and again he is not listed as first contact. Next time I call because they literally non-stop called me because for a late fee. I thought I was on autopay but apparently the monthly payment is separate from the $35 fee for the dispatch. Their stories over phone keep changing and its really irritating. I was fine to pay it again to get it over and done with but the guy initially said $75 but then it included the monthly auto pay which I did t get so I'm irritated and confused. I just bought the house so telemarketers call my phone all the time so I don't pick up for 1-800 numbers and it was like get hassled by collections. Each time they called it was in the morning and afternoon while I was at work. At this point I'd rather cancel and take my chances with someone breaking in. read more

I really don't know how this company has 4 and half stars on yelp! Do your research before calling these people out to your home. I made the mistake and had Jake come out to our new home. He was an hour late which didn't bother me. It took him about a half hour to walk the the house. He told me he'd send me a bid for everything. It's now been 2 weeks and have yet to hear from him. I've called and left several voice messages to him and the company and still no phone call back. That's totally unacceptable and "POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE". At least have the decency to call your customers back. This business needs a new management team before it shuts down! Absolutely would not recommend reliable home security to anyone! read more

I purchased a home security system with a three-year contract from Reliable Security on 08-25-2014 because they appeared to be an honest company that cares about the quality of the services that they provide. That was a mistake that I will remember every time I pay them $49.00 a month for the next three years. The first thing that should have warned me about Reliable Security was when they set up a appointment to install the system at 2.00PM and called me around noon that day and canceled the appointment. The second thing that should have warned me was that Reliable Security sent a so-called professional installation person to install the system that was so rude that my wife told me that she did not want him in our home and we had to have another person complete the installation. After these two less than stellar examples of the quality of Reliable Security's customer relations they called and set up an appointment with one of their management staff a Mr. Jake Schucker. When Jake was at our home he was very apologetic for the two previous incidents and offered us two free months monitoring and explained the system and its features one which is that if the customer forgets to set the alarm they will be sent a text on their cell phone alerting them that the alarm needs to be set. On October 5th 2014 I tried to check this feature for the first time and found that it will not work on my iPhone 5 and contacted Reliable Security to have this feature fixed as the system was sold with a complete warranty for one year. So far Reliable Security has not fixed this problem and they tried to say the problem was with at&t my cell phone provider or with Apple. I contacted both companies and they checked for problems on their end and found that their systems are working correctly. I told this to Jake at Reliable Security and he told me he would find out what is wrong and have the problem fixed. That was several days ago and as of yet they have not bothered to contact me or get the problem fixed. If you deal with Reliable Security make sure that they fix any problems before the thirty days that you have to cancel the deal expires. I can now see why there are so few Reliable Security signs in the yards in Denver read more

From the first phone call we made to Reliable Home Security to get pricing options, to the installation experience itself, this business has shown the utmost in professionalism and courtesy. Matt set up our installation, and dealt with my barrage of a thousand questions very patiently. He worked to understand the layout of our house and explained in detail the neat technology that this company has for home security. He was very friendly and responsive, and wrote up three different installation proposals for me, showing me what features I could get for various installation costs. The installation package we chose was so much more affordable than what I'd imagined it would be for the features provided, and the installed system is very easy to use and gives us the security we want. It is easily upgradable should we choose to include more awesome ninja features in the future. Colin did our installation. He was very respectful of the appointment time we were given, and checked in with both my husband and I well in advance of our appointment window. Once again, I was so impressed by both the professionalism and friendliness of this RHS team member. There were many little things: removing his shoes when entering, being patient and kind as I entertained my rambunctious toddlers while he was trying to explain important contracts and payment options to me, installing the touchscreen console in a place that was both aesthetically pleasant and ergonomic for us. There were the big things: carefully installing sensors, testing the system, coordinating with the monitoring company, demonstrating how to use the system and the linked mobile app, and answering my bajillion more questions with a smile. Matt was very helpful and walked us through various different options. We opted for one of the more basic packages and I was happy that he didn't try to unnecessarily up-sell me. He set us up for an install the next day and our installer was right on time. I can't remember his name, but he was very thorough and efficient and had us all set up and ready to go in just over an hour. He gave us a brief tutorial and that was that. Monitronics is fine if you don't need to talk to them, but if you do, be warned. If you need to cancel your service they become extremely rude, will update your contract end date, and in general never leave you alone. These guys are awesome! I had been using a different security company that I had become very unhappy with and was looking around for a new company to take my business to. After doing some research I decided to call Reliable Home Security mostly because they had a lot of positive reviews (like the one I am writing) and I am really glad I did. I spoke with Matt and explained what I was looking for and listed all the things I didn't like about my previous security provider. He was very understanding and walked me through all the reasons why his company was different which put all my reservations to rest. We then walked through the system that I currently had and how I wanted to add a few upgrades. He gave me a very reasonable price for everything I wanted to do and at no time did I feel like I was being 'sold' to. By the end of the conversation I felt like I could trust him, and by extension his company. Colin came a couple of days later to install the new control panel and all the new sensors I had ordered. He showed up on time, was very knowledgable, personable, and configured the system exactly to my liking. I am the type that likes to understand how things work and he let me look over his shoulder and took the time to explain how everything worked. I couldn't be happier with my choice. After not being able to get a hold of ADT to come fix the system, outdated as it was 26 years old, Reliable came out and fixed all the old connections that were broken, set up new displays, & new CO & smoke alarms. The monthly rate was a little more than half of what ADT was charging.. SO it was great and the system works much better, better technology than what ADT currently even offers, total set up costs were well priced as well for our large system. read more
