My girlfriend and I needed moving help, and after some research, we found Jason and his MMS crew because of their reviews on different sites. We could not have been happier with our decision. They treated us like family from the beginning. I was very impressed by their ability to be hard working and professional, all while being fun and lighthearted. They take their jobs seriously, but love to have fun, as well. While moving our things, they found little things here and there (loose leg on an end table, etc) that needed to be fixed and took care of them on their own. That kind of above-and-beyond attitude isn't seen often at all with movers. Our job ended up needing a few extra hours because of a lack of preparedness on our part, but the crew worked just as hard in hour five as they did in hour one. We can't think of a single thing to complain about, and we'll gladly hire MMS again in a couple months when our short term lease is up and we move into a house. read more

Horrible experience. The website leads customers to believe this is a family business and a few family members are going to show up and move you. When I booked, I spoke with someone who sounded professional on the phone and said it was his company. It provided a quote and I gave a credit card. On the day of the move, 5 men, showed up in a truck that said Bison Relocation ( not Master Moving). The workers were polite, but admittedly when I selected the company it was based on the presentation of the website and the professionalism of the workers on the phone. No one disclosed a company with a different name would show up. It was alarming as a single female, and was confusing as to who these people were, why they were not in a truck that said Master Moving, and why there were so many of them. The scheduler only said 3. Could you imagine having 5 men show up to work and you are alone? It was scary and unanticipated. They loaded the truck halfway ( which was going across the country btw) and then they said they needed to upcharge 1k more for the move. When I complained they only said the quote was inaccurate and that we took up more space ( even though the picture was provided). They waited until I was in a vulnerable position to say something when it should have either been addressed via the photo, or before half of my items were on the truck. When I tried to speak up and talk to the person who booked us they referred us back to the workers who were there. Not Master Movers who we thought we were doing business with. Since I didn't have a backup plan, and they waited until I had no option, I was essentially strong-armed into an upcharge on a 3-day weekend. They also showed up a day in advance. At some point as I was complaining they said they refunded my deposit, but when I asked for a refund a bunch of women got ghetto on the phone. No professional attempt was made to reconcile the issue. No refund receipt was provided. They then told me I had to pay by wire to move forward with the move. I never thought I would be in a position to have a group of men force me to pay wire to get my stuff back. I was scared, so I paid the money and now I'm worried they won't follow through. This was a horrible experience, and showing up and demanding payment by wire transfer is problematic and scary on so many levels. Based on feedback online these people might be okay if you have a short-distance move in LA, but if not, I'd stay away from it. The whole thing was stressful and shady. Asking to be paid by Zelle or bank wire is a huge red flag. And if they are sending a third-party group, that should be disclosed in advance. read more

Jason (the owner) did one of the worst things a moving company can do to a person. Not show up. Eventually he blocked my number. Initially, he assumed 8 am. Then he assumed 10 am would work since that's when I told him I'd get the keys from the leasing office. I told him 10:30 would be best to give me time to sign paperwork. I then (days later) get a text telling me because I kept pushing back my times he has a morning job and won't get there until 1... I don't understand how pushing it from 10 to 10:30 delayed things 2.5 hours... but ok! I went with the punches. Moving day: He answered my call once around noon and said the earlier job was larger than expected and that he'd be here around 1-ish. He never answered my calls or texts again. This was my first apartment living on my own and he ruined the experience. He could have told me earlier on in the day and I would have been able to plan it out. 3 PM came by and all of the other movers were booked. I was able to find one for tomorrow in the afternoon. Don't book with this company. Terrible owner who doesn't know how to run a business with integrity. read more

Our experience with Masters Moving was mixed. First the good things: 1. Very good communication. 2. They are very careful with your furniture and with your home. 3. Nice guys On the bad side: 1. They were over three hours late starting our move. 2. The move took 2 hours longer than estimated even though Jason came over first and to look at our stuff. It was also longer than our move from Litchfield Park into Central Phoenix. read more

I'm not normally one to complain, and I'm very easy to please, but my recent moving experience with Master Moving left something to be desired. Jason and his crew had moved me about 4 years ago and I had been very happy with the work, so we decided to hire them again for our recent move. The crew that showed up did not include Jason this time, and it showed. One of our 3-man crew left after a couple hours for some "emergency", and we were left with 2 guys for a 3 man job. I could live with that, too. However, when we unwrapped the top of my new hutch we found that someone had simply placed the glass shelves at the bottom of the hutch, rather than separately wrapping the panes of glass in moving blankets like they had done with all my other glass. 3 panes of glass were stacked in the bottom of the hutch, and one had shattered. The leader of the crew was very apologetic and assured me that this would be taken care of and he asked me to immediately call Jason and explain what had happened. Jason instructed me to send him pictures and measurements and he would have the glass replaced as soon as possible. Everyone involved agreed that this glass breakage was NOT normally-expected moving damage and was clearly negligence on their part. The next afternoon (Sunday, Feb 11th), I sent measurements and a picture of one of the glass panes that had survived. When I did not get a response by Thursday, Feb 15th, I sent another text asking if he had receiving my information. He apologized for the delay, blamed a recent illness, and said he would let me know when it was set up. I waited another week until Thursday, February 22nd before sending another reminder text, asking if anything was going to be done. It is now Sunday night, February 25th, and Jason still has not even replied to my text at all. As it has now been over 2 full weeks since the move and I am now being ignored, I have no further recourse but to warn other customers of my situation before they do business with Master Moving Services. read more

This is my experience with Jason. I paid him $2500. To pick up some stuff from my house to put them in a storage unit. I was planning on selling the items at an auction. So he took two days to fill the biggest uhaul and his truck. When I wanted to get the key to the storage unit, he said ask nicely. He took two weeks to give me the key. I finally got the key to the unit. I hired his helper to help me move my stuff into a new unit that I had to pay for again because the stuff was in his unit. And when I opened up the unit there was only two car trunk full of my items left. Basically he stole everything except for a few things. Then he sold my items at the auction where I was going to sell. For the last 3 months I've been watching my items going through the auction. He is selling them and keeping the profits. I went to police and they said it was a civil matter. Jason is a theif a liar .he really hurt me. I'm dealing with stage 4 cancer and I needed that money for my treatment. That's my experience with him. This is all true. This guy is a con artist and theif. read more

I used master movers a couple weeks ago. I called a moving company from a mailer and they never showed up. So I was on yelp and saw that Jason from master movers was taking phone calls at 8 at night when every other place was closed. So I called him and he moved me the next day! They were very professional. It was 110 degrees outside and they moved me from a 3rd story apartment and were very positive, nice and friendly. Nothing was broken, scratched or damaged. Jason also worked around my work schedule which helped me a lot. I definitely recommend master movers! read more

I used Master Moving & Handyman Services last year to move, and enlisted their services once again a couple of weeks ago. Jason and Mark were outstanding! Jason was communicative in the days leading up to the move day, and was 100% transparent with regard to pricing. Jason and Mark worked very efficiently, and moved my heavy furniture and boxes in no time at all to my new address. At the same time, they took great care to safely move and accommodate everything with absolutely no damage! Same professional, superb service that I experienced last time I hired them! Jason will be my first call for all my future moving needs, and will be the first name I recommend to anyone seeking moving services. read more

I found this company on Yelp, and based on the reviews, decided to give Jason a call - which I'm totally happy I did. I was moving back to California and needed help with the move. Jason came over and did a walkthrough and was able to quickly estimate how big of a truck I would need and gave me great advice on packing. On the first day of the move, he arrived exactly in the time frame he said he would, and the team started loading right away. They packed the truck very professionally and when I checked it before they left, I knew everything felt really secure. The next day, we met at my new place in California and unloaded the truck a lot faster than I expected. (Btw, you should ask him to see the video of him backing into the super narrow driveway! - Totally crazy awesome skills!). He even pointed me in the right direction when I couldn't find one of my items the following day! All my furniture made it here in great condition and undamaged. All in all, I had a very good experience, and I would totally recommend Jason to anyone that needs a mover. As other reviews have stated, his prices are reasonable and he really cares about making your move as painless as possible. Thanks again Jason!!! read more

Score! These guys do a great job! They are good communicators, thorough and efficient. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't spend a bunch of time messing around, even in horrific heat. I will tell all my friends about Jason and his crew and have already used them twice! I can't thank you enough for dealing with our crazy last minute schedules and requests! read more

Abducted by aliens? It's unprofessional to tell your customers that you are stopping by and then not bother to come. Not a single text or phone call from Jason to let us know he was unable to make it. We had to postpone prior engagements on two separate occasions, because this individual failed to show up. Unbelievable. read more

Jason was efficient, careful, and did an amazing job! My family & I are thankful we found him as he took on our job at the last minute. We originally went through A&C Bros Moving & Storage who were absolutely horrible!!!!. Please, please, please don't ever use that moving company. Everything about that company was a farce! Jason was amazing and we're truly thankful we found his business to make right what the other company ruined. You can't go wrong with Masters Moving Services! read more

These guys no showed! No response to my texts or email! Stay away from using them . You can be stranded just like me! Very disappointing and unprofessional! read more

Despite Jason being in the hospital the night prior, he went above and beyond to make things right!!!!! I understand that he was not available at 7 AM like planned but life happens. I am happy that Jason is okay and he still showed up the day after he was sick to take care of my large move. He was courteous, professional, had a good sense of humor and exceeded expectations to make sure as a customer I was fully satisfied! I appreciate the work you did Jason and your attention to detail. I will call you for all my future needs! read more

Friendly, respectful, trustworthy and caring! Jason and his team are those rare people you always hope to find! They were with me from 7:45 AM on a Friday until after 3:00 AM on Saturday. As exhausted as we all were, everyone remained cheerful down to the last load. Jason said they would not leave until we were done. I had a 26 ft moving truck and we had 3 full loads! NOTHING was damaged! They did a fantastic job! He also gave me a very reasonable price! I would recommend them for any of their services! If I could give them more stars, I would!!!!!!!!! Thanks to ALL of you! You are all the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Great mover! Speedy and efficient. I needed to move a large futon from a friend's 2nd floor apartment to my home. Jason did such a great job getting it into my spare bedroom, which doesn't have the easiest of angles to get anything into. I would most definitely use Master Moving again. read more

Jason and his team were wonderful to work with! They took very good care of our belongings and went above and beyond to make sure everything safely went where it is supposed to be. He even helped us set up our bed frames! We felt very well taken care of, received great customer service, and paid a reasonable price for the amount of work needed to move our home. I loved working with someone who really cares about what they do and strives to provide the best service. I completely recommend hiring them for all of your moving needs. read more

I received a referral for Master Moving Services from a client of mine. This company is awesome! My husband and I had just downsized and moved with the help of a couple friends in January and had to move again in May. Jason the owner actually made what could normally be a stressful situation fun! I highly recommend Master moving Services! Jason really cares about your stuff!! His employees were just as respectful! These guys are the best in the business. From start to finish they are professional, friendly and courteous. We had used them before for a small job and picked them because of the great reviews and they didn't disappoint. This time we were moving to another state, so without hesitation we called them up. Jason was of course as entertaining as he was the first time and also a complete professional. His crew worked so hard and got the job done smoothly and it couldn't have been any better. Thanks so much, guys, you made our move so much easier. read more

Master Moving Services did a great job. Jason is very knowledgeable, careful, and conscientious. He even scouted out my new address because of concerns about logistics. I'll never know how he got my huge sofa through a small front door and hallway. Great job! He even pointed out where he nicked the wall and offered to repair it. I didn't care, I was just glad (and amazed)he got my sofa in! Throughout the move he was courteous, professional, and hard-working, even under trying circumstances. Give Jason a call. He really knows his stuff! read more

Jason and his crew are Great. I've used them twice now and have referred them to other friends. So far every time has been a good experience and I received many thanks from those I referred them to. Jason does not know how to talk to people. He likes to jump into a job that the employees are doing a great job at when I'm not paying for his help. Jason and his crew recently handled our move from Tempe into a high rise condo in Phoenix. They did an excellent job, from packing to loading, and then unloading and set up. They were prompt and efficient, and worked tirelessly and with good humor even though it was the recent day with 117 degree temperature. As we unpacked we found no evidence of breakage or damage. The best part of this experience was that Jason saved us $3,000 over the previous quote we had received. I would highly recommend this team. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company! Jason was extremely helpful from the l first time I called to the moment he had finished moving us in to our apartment. He absolutely went above and beyond to get us settled in a new state. Not only did he provide me with helpful information before the move, but he took extra time after to give us some tips and info on the area. They were very responsive, prompt, and friendly. They were upbeat and incredibly efficient despite the 120* heat! And to top it all off, their prices are so reasonable! I will absolutely use this company for moving in the future. read more

DON'T DO IT, don't do it, don't do it... Yes, they have a lot of good reviews, which was why I hired them. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A MOVER. I hired these guys last minute after being left in a lurch by another moving company. Jason came out to assess my stuff and said he could help me out. He seemed honest and willing to help out and based on the great reviews they had I decided to hire him. His initial estimate was fair, especially given my last minute situatuion. I was just happy to secure a mover in such short notice. The pack up and storage went fine. However on move in day a couple weks later, Jason and his brother were 2 hours late. The local crew they hired for the unload were right on time and sat on the clock waiting for them to arrive. Jason said that they had been "visiting family that lived in the area" and his "phone was somehow left on 'do not disturb' so he couldn't be reached". After he arrived, I saw Jason move a couple boxes then he proceeded to sit in my backyard looking at his laptop for the duration of the move. Meanwhile the hired hourly crew did his work for him. He was scheduled to be there moving until 1pm, but stated around 11am that he and his brother had to leave and the hired crew would finish up. When I mentioned that he had originally stated that he would stay until 1pm, he said "We want to go see our family before we leave town, so we need to go now". He placed an Ipad in front of me with a receipt on it for what I owed and walked away. The dollar amount was well beyond what we had originally discussed (part of that charge being for the crew that sat around waiting for them and that stayed well after they left to finish up). Unfortunately, due to the quick nature of the move, we had a handshake agreement with regard to price and I tusted him. A mistake I'll never make again. Being a man of my word, I paid him. I asked him to send me a receipt and after several requests he still hasn't sent it, 2 months later. I hope Jason enjoyed his family vacation on my dime. read more

I hope Jason has improved since he moved my belongings to a new house. He hired 2 guys off the street as his workers. Some of my furniture was scratched because he "forgot" the moving blankets, used shrink wrap for everything. He was not nice to his very inexperienced workers, he did little work himself although he was the one with the moving experience. Even though I paid a lot for the move, he asked me to write him a second check to tip his workers. I'm not sure they ever saw their tip. I would not recommend Jason for a move. read more

Absolutely amazing service! Our movers were Randy and Daron, both were incredibly nice and talented at what they do. They moved our two bedroom apartment in just 3 hours. They're awesome at communicating so we had no problems or concerns as they were moving us out and in. The consideration for the safety of our stuff was unreal! We really appreciated the effort they put into making sure all of our stuff was unharmed while still performing at such a fast pace. Their quickness was one of the many qualities of this company that will have my roommate and I calling when we need to move again. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! In a nut shell: quick, super nice, and just an all around awesome moving experience. I can't thank them enough for making it so easy! read more

The skinny? The guy is really good and worth it. If you want to read more... Jason actually found me after I posted an add on Craigslist. After sorting through the usual nonsense, most of which was offering an individual's help for an outrageous hourly fee, I came across Jason's offer. His approach and estimate were not only reasonable, but quite professional. I've been working corporate for many, many years, so I can usually smell a low-balling scam artist; this wasn't one. We agreed to terms that day and on moving day Jason kept me abreast of every event and milestone throughout. The real added bonus of the service Jason offers is his ability to identify savings for you, the customer. Rather than charge ridiculous fees for things you really don't need (do you really need to wrap that old Ikea dresser in twenty pounds of shrink wrap to go 10 miles and pay out the wazoo for it?), Jason will work with you for an efficient, professional, careful move. Now here's the real kicker: the guy has a background in insurance. He knows what's legit and what's needed. That goes a long way to establish confidence for the customer. End of the day, I had all my stuff moved into a new place 90 minutes ahead of schedulwithout anyny casualties, knicks or dents. can't recommendednd Master Moving Services high enough. Oh, and ask Jason about his musical tastes. It throws all the stereotypes you have of movers out the window. read more

I moved 7 times in my life and I've had both good and bad experiences with movers. This moving company is AWESOME!! Jason gave me a deal of 3 men for 3 hrs, but on move day the 3rd guy called in sick. So, I got Jason and Randy. No worries. They worked non-stop and only took two 5 min breaks. Jason and Randy were very friendly and professional. To top it off, after nearly 5 hours of moving I thought I was going to have to pay out the wazoo. NO!! Jason credited the deposit I paid towards the total amount which made my final payment much less. They didn't cheat me and gave incredible service. I would definitely recommend them and use their service again. read more
