Amazing food and coffee. But I won't be coming here anymore because of the poor customer service. The last three times I've been here, the lady at the counter (who I think owns it) throws a lot of attitude and gets kinda mad when I ask for a coffee to be made (iced white mocha). She makes it pretty clear that she doesn't have "time" and moans and groans the whole time while making it. Maybe just take it off your menu if you don't want to serve it? I understand it takes time and your business is very usually busy.... but you shouldn't be upset about making something that you offer to your customers. It makes me feel very uncomfortable being treated like that. read more

1st time in here with my husband we got a dozen fresh donuts and only paid $12.40 for them they tasted great and also the staff was very nice and helpful and welcoming as well and the bakery was very clean also and they have a lot of great choices to pick from and also same with coffees as well. This place is great and also very affordable as well and the service was great also. This place is good for family's and also to pick up quick donuts on the go and everything. Because of the customer service that I got on Monday First I was ordering donuts and said that May I have a maple, glaze, and one twist and a latte and she said that she as no time for that than rolls her eyes at me. Than I say may I have a coffee than she when to go serve another customer. I wait than payed than the twist had a ton of oil in it and my friend just. Was disgusted. They closed a few minutes early. I had cash and only wanted a single donut. I would have been out of there within 1 minute, probably before it even turned 4 pm! I walked up as the lady was locking the door and she wouldn't allow me to purchase a single donut after driving across town. I'll never get donuts from there again. Sad too, because my son never had their donuts and I was going to buy him one to try. They lost two customers over this that buy a lot of donuts. RUDE RUDE SERVICE. We called ahead and asked for chocolate chip muffins because they never make them when they're opening and the lady said yes. They gave us the wrong order so we had to drive back and her husband laughed in the back refusing that was our order and gave us the one day muffin they had. At the time, I didn't know that Master Donuts is also one of my Elite Yelps friends favorite donut spot. Trust you Yelp friend reviews! The reviews are not wrong. This place makes a killer donut. It's nothing like those crappy ones you pick up at the gas station or grocery store. These are donut shop donuts - duh. Not only are they good, but there's quite a selection of regular comfort d'nuts from which to choose and some other pastries as well. Small shop with a couple pots of coffee and aroma. I have to agree with the other yelpers, these donuts are amazing!!! My new favorite donut shop in Citrus Heights and may even beat out my favorite in Roseville too! I came here at about 7:30am on a Friday morning and they were STOCKED! Usually when I get donuts by this time other shops are half picked over and a lot of the best ones are gone, but not this place! Everything was fully stocked and nothing was sold out. I think they had 30+ varieties of donuts and muffins! The biggest selection I have ever seen! The lady who helped me was super nice and friendly, really made me feel welcome. The shop is a nice size with a few tables inside as well as a couple outside with a nice lawn area. Very cute! I ended up getting a Chocolate Bar with Chocolate Chips, a Maple Old Fashioned and a Cake Donut with Chocolate Frosting and Sprinkles. I loved them all! Especially the Chocolate Bar which was HUGE and covered in chocolate! They definitely don't skimp on their frosting or donut sizes. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I am craving donuts on my way to work or on the weekend! Recommended! read more

Just moved to the area and stopped in on my way home the other morning craving a donut. I was brought up eating donuts from a childhood spot that I've SWORN is still the best donuts ever so wasn't expecting much here. The place was packed and the donuts were HUGE AND looked amazing! Couldn't decide so picked a cinnamon roll and a chocolate bar. I have always gotten chocolate bars since my grandma started taking me when I was a kid and this by far is the best I've ever had! I made the mistake of being nice to my coworkers one day and bringing in donuts. I've lived in this area for the last 10 years and I always go to this shop. So much better than any other place I've been too. The donuts went over well at work. I chose a random dozen that added up to about $9 and some change. Needless to say they were all gone by the end of work that day. Now, bringing the donuts to work wasn't the mistake that I made. The problem was when I told my girlfriend when I got home that day that I had bought donuts for everyone at work...boy was she irritated with me that I didn't save her any. So now, almost every wednesday morning that we get up I'm sworn to get her a raspberry jelly donut from Masters, and then I run across the street for the coffee bar at Pastors...because in my opinion, they make better coffee than this place. Usually 2 donuts runs me less than $3. This morning we went in, and since it was sunday and later in the morning they didn't have any jelly donuts. My girl was kinda dissapointed, but the lovely girl behind the counter offered to fill her maple bar with whipped cream or custard for her. YAY! I got what she called "the butterfly". Apparently it's a cinnamon roll with chocolate on top. Holy crapola, I was in heaven! The cinnamon and sugar went well with the chocolate, (the kind you would find on the chocolate version of the maple log), and it was so big I almost didn't finish it....almost. :) As I said, I've been coming here for 10 years and I'll come 10 more if they're still around. But with the amount of people that are in this place every time I come, I doubt they'll ever go out of business...I hope they never do. read more

Super friendly once we walked in, donuts tasted great and fresh. Grapped a few different kinds, but my fav was the Boston creme. They due charge .50¢ for credit/debit. Not bad though. After moving from the PNW a few years ago I went on a hunt for the best donuts in my 5 mile radius. I tried some very mediocre donut shops until I discovered Master Donuts! Great selection, fabulous and friendly customer service and great tasting donuts. I have my favorites but have tried a variety. Favorites are blueberry cake, coconut and plain french cruller. Their apple fritters are delicious as well and my little minion love the glazed and sugar. They also have muffins, cinnamon buns and a great selection of drinks. This is my favorite donut shop in Citrus Heights. The donuts are delicious, but more importantly the service is incredible. The owner always sends me off with a warm farewell, "see you tomorrow!" If donuts were not so high in calories I would definitely see her every day. The only down side is the Fox News station blasting for some what seem to be regulars sitting in a corner and very loudly offering their unsolicited conservative political opinions. I just remind myself that the donuts are worth the high price of listening to nonsense for just a few minutes. Stop in, and enjoy. This was probably one of the worst donut shops I've been to. Seeing this one is close and I drive by it everyday I decided to give it a try. When going into any donut shop I always look for my favorite donut, the French curlers how they taste so moist. Dont plan on it if your getting one here at Master Donuts. It was so dry I thought maybe it was yesterday not sold donuts but no its todays! Since I bought a dozen donuts I for the family that is visiting and our house I thought let me try a bite of a different type. That bite said it all this is by far one of the worst donut shops for flavor of donuts. The icing taste so salty and the donuts taste so dry. So much so that I dont typically write reviews on many places anymore but felt the need to let others know what they are in for if they go and actually purchase from this shop. Another aspect is no warmth or hello when you walk into the shop. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of none was it appears the place is clean.
