Came here today to get the Java chip Granada it's so worth the money all there coffees are so fresh and delicious. The service is always great and the staff are always super friendly and nice and make your drinks the way you want it. The outside of the restaurant is always super clean and well maintained and taken care of. I will continue to come here and to tell everyone I know about it. How simple can it be. April 1, 2026. Very simple coffee with alternative milk I double checked they had on their website. No, they have no coffee ready. No coffee? If I made a customer wait for coffee that had not even been brewed, I would have at least given an extra bean. Something. Offering an Americana instead. No. All i want is coffee. I could understand not having the coconut milk. But coffee not ready? A coffee place with no coffee ready? Give a discount card, maybe a bean or two but crap customer service. read more

I've been in love with the Human Bean for years. Yes, y'all know that I'm a Starbucks girl, and yes, this is the exception to my rule. I love the fact that this newer to me location is in citrus Heights. Truth be told they only have a couple of spots in the greater Sacramento area as this is not their homebase, and I'm hoping that they'll expand their locations. What I love about them... They are completely different than most of your typical coffee spots. They are always consistently good, and yes, they're just as pricey as everyone else. However, you can grab your regular whatever did you like to drink, and be super happy with it. But I love the fact that they really embark on Amazing seasonal flavors, and that chocolate covered espresso bean that they put on top of your cup when you pick up your order is such a lovely touch. This specific location like most of the location locations this is a tiny little drive-thru, and they do try to keep the line moving as quickly as they can. Keep in mind everything is made to order so it might take you a minute. They do offer a variety of dairy substitutes just as a heads up. They can pretty much add any flavor that you would like to any of their drinks, they can blend them, whip them, shake them, and pretty much make you the drink of your choice, all while doing it with a smile. I love the fact that their coffee has a consistent good taste to it. The staff is friendly, and while you're ordering a drink, definitely grab something from their food menu. It's very limited, but they are definitely tasty treats. While they're technically in the citrus Heights area, they're actually fairly close to Roseville. I just wish that they were closer to the freeway. Of course, if that were the case, I would be there all the time. We all need a little human bean in our lives. read more

When I pulled up to the window to place my order, the woman helping me was incredibly kind and welcoming. I mentioned it was my first time there, and she took the time to ask about my drink preferences. I told her I like white mochas and shaken brown sugar espressos, and she suggested a mix of both -- which sounded perfect. I admitted I was indecisive, so I asked her to surprise me with her choice, just iced and with oat milk. She was super friendly and said, "Of course!" I paid for my drink and a cake pop, feeling great about the service so far. While waiting, a different woman came up to the window and asked if 2% milk was okay. I asked if they were out of oat milk, and she said no, then followed up with, "I'll do it this time, but next time you need to let them know -- oat milk is an extra charge." I let her know I had asked for oat milk, and she pointed to the screen (which I couldn't see behind the window) and said, "Well, it wasn't rung up." I repeated that I had definitely mentioned it, but she walked off without another word. A moment later, I heard her call out to someone, "Did she say she wanted oat milk?" and the original employee responded, "Ooooh yeah. She did!" It would've gone a long way if the second woman had come back to apologize for the misunderstanding -- but unfortunately, she didn't. read more

I've heard a few people talk about this place and I decided to check it out while I was in the Roseville/Citrus Heights area. I love that this place is small and pretty much only a drive-thru coffee spot. Their menu was pretty small but what they offer all sounded delicious but I decided to try one of their holiday drinks, it was the Salted Brown Butter Mocha. This drink was so divine, it wasn't too strong or too sweet. It was perfect and didn't need any additions. It was salty, sweet and creamy. I instantly fell in love with this drink. I also love the chocolate espresso beans that come with the drinks, this is a nice little treat and it's pretty good. The staff here was friendly and efficient. The prices are very reasonable, maybe a tab bit cheaper than other coffee shops. I really enjoyed my first time experience here and really enjoyed the drink. I will be back when I'm in the area as there are no locations near where I live. read more

I wanted to like this place since it's a small business and had some cool drinks advertised. I also only drink sugar free and they have some options so I was hopeful. The first time I went there about a few months ago I tried a SF iced caramel latte and it was very watery and lacked any discernible flavor. Today my sister and I had offers for free drinks so we tried it again. I got a SF english toffee iced coffee and my sister got a butter pecan iced latte. Neither or them were filled to the top! There was a noticeable gap. The butter pecan latte had a decent flavor but was very watery and had a bitter aftertaste. The SF coffee was disgusting. The coffee was almost sour and the syrup didn't help it at all, just made it sweet on top of sour. Additionally, I am a barista myself and I have to say that the customer service wasn't very good. Maybe it was just a bad day for her, but the employee seemed annoyed to have to even speak to us TLDR: Bad drinks and mediocre service at best read more

Their iced/frozen drinks sound interesting, but I wanted something hot since it was a bit chilly. Decided to go with the Chocolate Mac Nut breve. The experience was overall very nice. The drive through is nice because it's convenient you don't have to leave your car. But unfortunately there is no seating nearby or anywhere for the business. The location is nice, in a small shopping plaza with a donut place next door. The line was a bit long so they had an employee come out to take orders and prep the drinks for the cashier/pick up. I got the 12oz small Mexican hot chocolate for $3.50 (January 2023). It was very hot which was nice. There is a subtle spiciness flavor that I was looking for. Wish it was stronger though. For a drive through coffee place- absolutely no complaints. The staff is incredibly pleasant and friendly and they're quick with orders I ordered 4 drinks and asked them to surprise me with my own (I used to be a barista and always had fun with that) The two people in there whipped out all four drinks in about 7 minutes, and the Pistachio Vanilla latte they made for my drink was super tasty! Giving one of my rare 5 stars here. Was on the way back to the Bay Area from a snow day. After some heavy traffic, felt I could really use a caffeine boost. The dilemma... go by one of the bazillion Starbucks or try to find something new? What about the convenience of a drive-thru, especially with a sleeping kiddo in the car? Well, the Human Bean was a fantastic find. I happened to find it by looking for coffee shops near Costco Gas so if you're looking for a gas stop too . So service was great. Heck it felt 3 times friendlier at this drive-thru than the usual treatment I get picking up in store at a Starbucks. The guy even asked if I wanted some whipped cream on my latte, which while tempting, I was trying to cut back on sugar. He also put a chocolate covered espresso bean on my cup. Like wow, that is a glimmer of genius. Who doesn't love mini-surprises, but I never really thought about it for a cup of coffee. I hope they thrive. Had some errands to run in Roseville the other week, so me and my sister made a pit stop along the way back home to here. Cute coffee shop. I see more coffee drive thrus opening up, which is perfect for me because I would rather wait in the car for coffee than going inside a store. I ordered a hot chai latte, and I forgot what coffee my sister ordered... we both really liked our drinks. They also offer this espresso bean on top before handing you your drinks. I do not do reviews, but I have to do this because I don't that I did not receive equal value for the money that I paid. I purchased a 32oz energy drink. It composed of a 16oz rockstar with flavored syrups, but my 32oz cup also comprised of more than a 20oz of ice in my cup. After I drank the energy drink I still had more than a half a cup of ice left, so I do not believe I had any more than 18oz of a advertised 32oz drink. read more

For the price I was expecting a good flavored brewed coffee and I was craving for one and I was really disappointed. Friendly staff with respectful service and even know they are still new, they are knowledgeable about what they offer. They offer so many different types of syrups with seasonal options and other fun drinks. I tried the chocolate chip latte I believe but it didn't taste like much, but it was still good, and in my experience, the coffee itself that they use is very smooth and strong, and not necessarily watered down and drowned in milk and ice like other places, which is something else I like about them. I look forward to coming back and trying their other sweet drinks. On Wednesdays, they offer double points on a punch stamp card or on their rewards app, and on Fridays, they offer an extra shot of espresso. So we have been coming here for a while my boyfriend and I we love coming here not to far from the house and it's a nice alternative for a different coffee shop easy to get in out the customer service is pretty good they are pretty fast on getting drinks out. I tried there blueberry pomegranate smoothie it was delicious. The only complaint I have is sometimes the blended drinks come out to runny and I have to ask them to make it more thick with ice or maybe that's the way they make it, but for a blended drink shouldn't be to runny. I do recommend coming here they have a variety of drinks the offer a stamp card and they have the app as well get $2 off when you sign up. read more

Welcome to Sac, Human Bean! Gotta love drive thru coffee spots. It reminded me of Dutch Bros but with less menu options, and more of a local vibe. I had a matcha smoothie which was super yummy!! We also tried the java chip granita which was really refreshing and not too sweet. They even give a little coffee bean candy on top of each drink.
