We did a half/half order of the tuscan pizza and pepperoni pizza. The hummus and falafel appetizer was great, too, just could have come with a few more pita slices. i'm sharing this review about a month late. i was so impressed with the food at this restaurant, it made me sad that i was leaving chattanooga and not able to come back to try more menu items. we got the baguette to start. freshly baked bread in house. you can't beat that. i got the greek gyro bowl and it was the freshest gyro meal i've ever had. every ingredient was delicious. this is upscale mediterranean in my opinion. bf ordered something similar, the mediterranean chicken bowl. incredibly flavorful chicken. every ingredient and preparation into each ingredient is thoughtful. there's no other way to describe the flavor put into every bite. now i need to get to the best part. we ordered a pepperoni pizza to go as we were traveling back home. i didn't open the pizza box until maybe an hour or so down the road so it wasn't piping hot at this point. yet, this was the best pizza i've ever had. i could eat it hot, cold, room temp, i don't even care. brick oven pizza will outdo any other kind of pizza every time. they are made to order with fresh ingredients and homemade dough. i really wanted to sit outside but there was only one table available and it was directly in the sun so we chose to sit inside. the tables are too close together for comfort. service was great. honestly the food matters way more than service. if i'm ever in chattanooga again i will be making my way up the mountain just for this restaurant. read more

I've been here in Scenic City for several years and this is the first time I have ventured up onto Lookout Mountain for a meal. Massey's Kitchen is part of the Square One Group, a well established restaurant group locally and in this spot, Mediterranean fare is featured. You have an absolutely great setting, even in the dead of winter. In the spring and early summer, it's got to be absolutely stunning with their ability to open up the restaurant on multiple sides. We were there for brunch, and the mistake I made was selecting a rather "traditional" breakfast, which was nothing special, with the one exception being the malted pancakes complementing the eggs, potatoes and sausage and that one item made the platter all worthwhile. The grandchildren had blueberry, as well as chocolate chip pancakes, absolutely delicious. The star though was the breakfast pizza, which was both delicious and unique versus any other breakfast pizza I've had. Eggs and arugula were stars, versus what you typically get with a breakfast pizza, built around fruit(s). Service was impeccable, as our waitress recognized and anticipated challenges that sometimes come when you have so many youngsters at the table. I will be back, and I look forward to trying their lunch or dinner offerings. read more

As much as I do not feel like writing this review, people must be aware of me and my mom's experience. We ordered two hamburgers and they were both spoiled, smelled like fish, and had a peculiar taste to them. We would've sent it back but service was incredibly slow altogether so we just asked for the check. I am now having mild-severe stomach pain and my mother is nauseated as well. Ambiance was minimalistic and mediocre. Nothing about the looks of the restaurant particularly stood out to me except for a nice colorful painting of a school of fish. A less important issue I noticed out of pure perspicacity with this establishment was the fact that the drinks were not even cold. The glass that contained the drink was colder than the actual liquid itself. Even though I am fervent with frustration and disappointment, I do not wish to excoriate this establishment, as we all have our off/bad days. Other than the spoiled meat, slow service, insipid atmosphere, and warm/room temperature drinks; our waitress was a very polite individual. read more

Massey's Kitchen was both delicious and pet-friendly, with outdoor patio seating that made for a great lunch spot. Our waitress was very friendly, and we were able to sit in a shaded area under an umbrella, which kept things comfortable. We also brought a cooling mat for Luna so she could relax and stay cool. We started with the falafel and hummus platter--it was easily the best falafel I've ever had: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For lunch, we shared a lamb and beef wrap, which was more than enough food for the two of us. Overall, a great experience for both us and our pup. read more

I really wanted to love this place because the food was excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story. We sat for about 20 minutes without anyone greeting us or acknowledging that we were there. Eventually, the assistant manager came over and said something like, "Oh, I didn't realize you were here," before trying to make things right. He gave us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciated, but then I watched him repeat the exact same apology and offer to at least four other tables. That tells me this wasn't a one-time mistake--it seems to be a recurring problem. It's frustrating because the kitchen is clearly doing its job, but the front-of-house operation is not. The quality of the service simply doesn't match the quality of the food. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. This restaurant has the potential to be outstanding, but if the service issues continue, it's going to drive customers away despite how good the food is. read more

The blueberry lemonade was unique and fantastic. As one of Sarah's suggestions, we got the Mezze platter for 2. The various flavors were amazing. The Stromboli was the standout excellent dish. I want 40 more of them! Everything was really good, the falafel, while good, was the weakest as it wasn't as flavorful as others I've had. Still good though with the hummus. The decor is cute and clean, music is at a good level, it's not loud. Overall it was an amazing find and absolutely wonderful. Anytime we are nearby we will definitely come back! read more

We love coming to this cute little restaurant tucked nicely on top of Lookout Mnt outside of Chattanooga Tn. There's no bad seat in the house. In the winter they have heated igloos for a warm cozy meal outside. Their pizza is some on the best we've had and that's saying a lot. Great appetizers and dishes although we've only had a sample of few. Awesome cocktails even wine and draft beer selections. Super friendly service goes above and beyond to make your dining experience perfect. It's a must if going to Ruby Falls or Rock City. read more

We unexpectedly came upon this great place on Labor Day weekend. They offered Brunch specials which tasted wonderful. First the pancakes were amazing that malted addition was perfect. Not to over powering. The breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Scrambled eggs are often not good, but these were great. To the people cooking you did great. Our server was so nice and helpful. We split the dish since we weren't hungry and she brought everything on separate plates. Always checking on us and quick with everything. Cute restaurant near our cabin. There is inside and outside seating. It was a bit breezy so we sat inside. It has roll up windows for when the weather is warmer. Everything is bright and looks new. They brought an olive appetizer that was fun and different. We had a chopped salad, glass of Chianti and the Greek chicken pizza. The service was good and the server was very friendly. The chopped salad had lots of veggies and the red wine vinaigrette was a good complement to the salad. The pizza was hot, thinner crust with plenty of sauce, chicken, artichokes, feta and banana peppers. You could tell they used fresh ingredients in the dishes. Everything was great. We were recommend this location by another business in the same area. After a long hot day on the mountain, we were looking for something different. Mediterranean food sounded great. When we arrived there was plenty of parking on and off the street. The restaurant has any updated features including retractable doors to open up the space to the outdoors during nice weather. I order a gyro with fries and my wife ordered the shrimp flatbread. Both offerings were homemade and fresh. The food was delisciuos, the atmosphere was casual and the service was excellent. I have been here twice now, and both times, I have been impressed with the quick & friendly service, the laid-back ambiance, and the food. We stopped by here for a late lunch on our way from Ruby Falls to Rock City and I'm so glad we did! This place is easy to find, and parking wasn't an issue at all -- there's plenty of free 2-hour street parking nearby. We had a 3:30 reservation, and after ordering, our food came out in about 30 minutes. Totally worth the wait. We ordered the House Burger, Margherita Pizza, and Sicilian Baguette -- everything was absolutely delicious! The burger was juicy, the pizza had that perfect balance of cheese and sauce, and the baguette was packed with flavor. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. I also loved that the outdoor seating was pet-friendly -- there were a few dogs relaxing with their owners, which gave the whole place a really nice vibe. A great place on the TN side of Lookout Mountain! Beautiful setting along Scenic Highway but in the middle of the downtown area in a converted General Store. It's classy but comfortable and elegant while layed back. Food was great, an updated and eclectic version of Southern Comfort and Mediterranean--delicious! We were there for an Anniversary Brunch in the middle of a travel softball trip, so it was a welcome respite in a hot & dusty few days! Service was very friendly but efficient and caring. Wow - I cannot wait to go back to try more food! My mom and I loved this meal. We were headed to Rock City, and I had heard there were restaurants on top of the mountain. The pizza was great and big enough to share. The kebabs were served over a bed of perfectly cooked couscous with a chopped side salad. Their gelato is made in house and it was amazing! The pistachio gelato was balanced in texture and flavor. You could taste the freshness of the pistachios. Mahshid also offered us the strawberry gelato on the house and it was fantastic, as well. Amazing breakfast at Massey's Kitchen awhile back when visiting Lookout Mountain for the weekend. The restaurant is beautiful, with a light, bright, friendly vibe. We were seated quickly and chose blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes, along with bacon. Our server checked on us several times and kept our glasses filled with mimosas. Only hiccup was that it took forever to flag down our server and get our check. I'd definitely visit again, as Massey's is a unique little gem! read more
