I live next to the rim and have heard and seen this place, but never gone in. Finally my boyfriend and I decided to have some drinks and food on Saturday and went around 4, and we were so disappointed. We were greeted and sat promptly. Our waiter came over and gave us waters and never a menu. After he checked on us again we asked for a menu and gave him our drink order. We waiting about 20mins. Even a couple that sat down after us had their cocktails already. I know places are short handed but our waiter was at the bar with 4 other serves having their own conversations and laughs. We waiting another 5mins and just walked out. There's so many other restaurants in this area I won't be going back to mash'd and I definitely think if you're trying to decide between places in the area this is not it. read more

Great atmosphere! Super crowded for a afternoon lunch so we sat on the outside bar section. With umbrella for shade and fans blowing this place was ready for a hot day in SA. This place has amazingly thick and delicious pizza. If you are looking for square Detroit style, look no further! I can also attest that the meatloaf is really good, and so is the fried chicken with biscuits and CN gravy! I have only had one dish here that I wasn't in love with. I tried the avocado bomb salad and while the flavors were really great, there was very little avocado. I know I only got the small salad, but if you are going to call it an avo bomb, the avocado should be at least noticeable. It tasted amazing, but definitely get the dressing on the side. In fact I suggest management consider just serving it on the side. A lot of the ingredients in the salad are already kind of wet, so adding the dressing quickly resulted in a very soupy situation. This place is one of my favorite places to go when I'm looking for a good drink and pizza. This is my most favorite pepperoni pizza in town! The crust is light and airy and they somehow manage to prevent it from being soggy from the sauce and cheese. Just perfect! It's topped with cheese and cubed pepperoni. It melts in your mouth once you take a bite! Opt for the large or you'll regret it when it's gone. I normally sway to the Agave Heat on the drink menu. A little bit of sweet with a little kick of heat at the end. The glass is topped with a pink sea salt rim that I can't help but nibble on after a sip. It is very refreshing. Service has never been bad here. I've always been sat quickly and service has always been attentive and polite. Can't wait to try this place for brunch! The menu sounds delicious! read more

We were greeted a couple of minutes after sitting down. Our waitress recommended some options. We ordered the Mash'd Tator Eggsplosion, Benny's Skillet, and the Flatiron Tomato Smash. I chose this place because my best friend was visiting with her fiancé and we wanted to try a new place. I wish we had gone somewhere else. We had a reservation but had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for them to clean off a table right next to a table well booth that had a bunch of employees rotating in and out during their shift to talk and laugh. I went to the restroom while we were waiting and on my way out the way was blocked with a few servers hugging and talking to I guess another server who was off that day. I'm 4 months pregnant trying to stay out of the way but was ignored when I said excuse me. Our waitress seemed pretty annoyed with any request we made. The food was really good though. However on my way back from another restroom visit I glanced in the kitchen and a male server was eating fries from the food sitting in the window. Place was decently busy on a Sunday. Got seated quickly at a table inside. Our waiter took our drink order pretty soon after being seated. Ordered two waters and one cock tail. We then waited over 20 minutes to get the two glasses of water, and the cocktail came 8 minutes after that in a plastic cup. $12 for a 30 minute wait to get a cocktail in a plastic cup. The waiter was aware it was taking way too long and apologized multiple times for the wait, but once he saw I too was annoyed, his customer service disappeared. We had to wave him down 10 minutes after that to put in a food order. After getting our food(after a long wait) he checked in with us one time, and proceeded to avoid eye contact anytime he was walking nearby. So again after finishing eating I had to attempt to wave him down for 3-5 minutes just to get time check. When he finally dropped off the check it was clear he had no interest in assisting us at all. The service wasn't too bad. Our waiter did a decent job serving us. We have no clue what his name was because it was too loud to hear him in the restaurant. We just nodded our heads. We ordered the corn and spinach dip but where later told by the manager that they had run out and we ended up ordering some queso dip. When the manager returned with the dip he told us that he was misinformed of that and that they were actually making the corn and spinach dip and that it would be out shortly and he would comp us the cost for the queso dip. The corn and spinach dip was over priced at $10.95 and hardly worth it. We actually preferred the queso over the corn dip. The servings were small in comparison to other places we had gone. I ordered a 1/2 cheese burger medium rare with fries. Over the burger was good but heavy in grease. As I sit here writing this I can feel the grease and salt still sitting around my mouth. The bun was soaked in oil and somewhat cold. After picking it up I was afraid to sit it back down on the grease. I used another plate to set my burger on. It fell apart 1/3 the way into it. I discovered the meat was still more rare than medium rare. The burger was priced at $13.95. It was still good but believe I would have enjoyed it better if I ordered the meat at medium. My wife had the half Chicken and Biscuits at $14.95. The chicken, biscuits, and Gravy were cooked well but was priced too high for the value. I ordered a bottled beer. The price was about average. My wife had a pineapple bomb. When it was delivered the 12oz glass was filled to the rim with crushed ice. She finished the drink in about 7 sips. It was not worth the $10.95. The floors in our area were very greasy and my feet slid across the floor easily while I sat at the booth. The bathroom is far away from the eating areas but I thought the men's restroom was filthy. There was urine all over the floor. When you turn around the door was across from the urinal which was across from the patio door. Everyone walking by the restroom door could see me urinating at the urinal. All in All Good Service Good Food High Prices I can get the same service and quality food elsewhere. Bulgogi Tacos- I was happy my hubby ordered the pizza because I wasn't a fan of the tacos. The marinade is good but the meat was over marinated & then they give you extra sauce & I stupidly used it before tasting my food so the flavor was too intense. They do give you a side of marinated jalapeños & onions that are delicious.. you might want extra. Mac n cheese - I thought it was good, but my two year old wouldn't even try it. Fries- These were good had a Good seasoning on them. I originally wanted to order the chicken & biscuits and regret not doing so. I got a bad stomach flu/virus/food poisoning after eating the chicken and biscuits. After I ate we sat and talked a little bit longer, as soon as I got to the parking garage my entire dinner came up. The entire experience was not a good experience from the start. I was going to let their no use of online reservations but has a sign that says accepting online reservations pass. I been sick for about 3 days now and it wasn't till I ate here I got sick. Would not return or recommend to anyone.
