The individual components were all there but the dish felt like it was missing cohesion. The black sesame parmesan tuiles were a standout though. Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. We arrived shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and were welcomed by our hostess, who let us choose our seats. Our waiter, Richard, introduced himself and when we mentioned our anniversary, he returned with two complimentary glasses of champagne garnished with gold-flecked raspberries! His genuine congratulations immediately made us feel special. He also shared menu recommendations and helped us choose our drinks: a Moscato for me and a refreshing raspberry drink for my husband. The restaurant's lively atmosphere, soft boho-inspired decor, and beautiful presentation were perfect for a warm fall afternoon. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was delicious. The twice-fried chicken was our favorite, with the chilaquiles a close second! Each dish looked as good as it tasted. Richard truly made the experience memorable.
