It's a really nice outdoor venue that doesn't get too crowded. They have a food truck in the back, and they have a good variety of backyard games (ping pong, corn hole, etc.). It's really a fun place, and totally a guy place. I love the atmosphere. They have about 18 beers on tap, but I wasn't impressed with the selection. They also have a full bar - liquor, etc. Something is going on with their draft beer, so I'm only giving them 2 stars. Every time they would pour a beer, it would have a lot of foam, and then it would disappear really quick. It was very strange; even the bartender commented on it. I had three different beers and each one of them were flat. I could see plenty of bubbles, but they tasted flat or watered down. I think they are having some sort of problem with their lines between the keg and the tap - maybe they are partially clogged or something. I mentioned it to the bartender, but they never looked into it. My advice is, if you get a flat or weak tasting beer, don't keep trying others. They are all going to be the same. During happy hour, you can get a 20-ounce mug of draft beer for the same price as a pint. Prices vary between $6 and $7.50, depending on the beer you select. A bottle of Shiner Bock is $5.50 - ouch! Also, there is a 3% charge for using a credit card!!! There goes my cash rewards...

This place was a chill vibe. Margaritas came out the tap so if that's not your thing beware. I love the outside sitting area and especially the seesaws

Let's get the "bad" out of the way first. I walked into Camp and was all of sudden approached by some guy sitting at the bar who asked me for my id. I was immediately questioned who he was and he claimed to be the person that was supposed to be standing outside at the entrance. As sketchy as it felt, I just gave him my id. My friends gave him a pretty hard time, but eventually ended up showing their id as well. Not a huge deal, but he should have been standing at the door and not sitting at the bar, in my opinion. Other than that, I came on a Saturday around 6ish and there weren't very many people there at all. It was pretty empty, which is not what I'm use to. Nonetheless, it's a pretty chill spot. Grab a beer or a cocktail and sit back and converse with friends or watch some tv on one of the many screens they have outside. Plenty of seating and space, a food truck, and some games are provided as well. Stop by and check them out. Don't forget to bring your friends too!

We visited Camp 1604 on a Sunday and it has a very down to earth environment. The wait staff was awesome and pretty much guaranteed that we would be visiting this place again. Camp 1604 has a broad selection of beers and cocktails which can accommodate any drinkers. On Sunday they have $2.00 Mimosas, which you can not beat. As a whisky snob I was not a fan of the barrel aged old fashion, because it is very light and overall artificially sweet. There is plenty of out door activities for the competitive nature people (like my wife and I). This includes darts, cornhole, seesaws, giant jenga, connect 4, shuffle board, and even archery. Camp 1604 is a great chang up from you typical bar setting that offers a lot of affordable fun.

Ya girl had a rough day at work on a Tuesday. So what does the husband do? Buy me a beer We did a last minute search on the way home from work and found Camp 1604. We've never been before and was excited to try it out. Happy hour that day was $2 off draft beers. So our beers were about $5/each which was really good. Customer service was great. There was only 1 person there and he was very friendly. Beer menu was great as well. The outdoors area has a thousand TV's and tons of games to play! TONS of them. I'm glad we stumbled upon this little gem. Will definitely be back, bad day or not!

This was my first time & I will say it's a very neat place. SUPER dog friendly which is great. They have AC inside but have doors open to the outside patio, both covered and not. But I think it would be boring without an event going on. They had 1 food truck vendor, that had 3 items to serve. I'm glad I ate beforehand. I plan on coming back to give this place another try. All in all, it's a chill place.

Camp is a fun bar. They have jenga, archery, see saws, etc. It is conveniently next to the Kung Fu bar which is also lots of fun. The drinks are good and the bartenders are awesome here. The $5 margarita was decent. I also got a "Sex on the fire" shot which was really good.

Stopped in for a quick drink and was like wow. Why don't I stop here more often. Nice open concept. Great place to take a date, hang with friends, or just wind down after a long day. Indoor seating and outdoor. Cool games to indulge in. It really has something for everyone. Go check em out. Thanks y'all.

We had our company Christmas party at Camp 1604. We had so much fun playing darts and exchanging gifts. We tried the sushi and it was good. It was chilly that day and we set outside, but the heaters worked very well.

This place is laughable. Is it Camp 1604 or Campy 1604? I can only think of this plastic gimmick as a symptom of a larger problem with society. It's not a camp. It's the sanitized version of a Beer garden with suction-cup archery. The price-range, over ten dollars for drinks, is offensive, for what is essentially Peter Piper Pizza with Vodka. I won't be be back here or to the sister property KUNG FU next door. Neither have reason for being. I have to say the customer service is decent, when available, but good luck, even achieving eye-contact. Servers, when I visited, were preoccupied with who-knows-what. (The icing on the cake had to be what appeared to be BLOOD smeared all over one of the bar stools)

San Antonio's camping Inspired beer garden for 21+ offers beer, shots, cocktails, and wine. They have a large outside area with picnic tables, one ping pong table, two see-saws, lots of TVs, virtual ax throwing, cornhole, and some safe archery targets around. It's located right by top golf and Andretti. They are also dog friendly. We came here opening night and promptly got a beer at the bar, then walked out back to enjoy the dj type music vibe and games. The website says they have a food truck on site but we did not try any of the food this time. This seems like a really cool hangout spot/beer garden and look forward to coming back again.

Super cute spot! I like that there are activities to do inside and outside. We grabbed a few drinks inside while waiting for our food. They have a great bar with many bottles to choose from. We ordered our food from the food truck outside and it came out nice and hot. ALSO, something you don't see often nowadays, our server outside was so attentive and friendly!

I am so glad I decided to try Toro yesterday. I reserved a table for 5 at 5 pm pn a Friday inside…read moreby a window through their site. No charge for reserving. From the moment you approach the restaurant- Not even walk in- you are greeted by a professional and hospitable staff. In the front 2 young workers gave us sangria samples and helped take my photo. So smiley and kind. Then I checked into my table at the host stand. Our table was in a gorgeous lit room by the stairs. The inside was so breathtakingly beautiful and clean . The restrooms as well. Our server Omar quickly filled our drink cups with cold water and took our actual drink order. They have premium lemomades and also fountain drinks with free refills. When he returned he gave us great recommendations from their 8 dollar tapas menu on happy hour (M-F 3-6). We ordered 3: Tacos de Cochinita Pibil / Slow cooked pork marinated in achiote sauce . Calamares Fritos / Fried steak calamari w/ alioli sauce ... Albondigas / Five Spanish pork meatballs marinated in wine tomato sauce with bread .... The bread with the meatballs should be toasted and it was cold. The calamari were AMAZING. Not chewy at all. And tacos unique and flavorful. It took a while to decide but with Omar's guidance and a lot of research beforehand, I reccomend large parties order these to get the best tasting experience: Parrillada Española / Spanish grilled feast with morcilla, 4oz Spanish sirloin, chistorra, three fried jumbo shrimp, and poached potatoes with alioli Toro Paella / Toro's Classic recipe voted best in San Antonio! Jumbo shrimp, mussels, chicken, calamari, pork belly & spanish chorizo . The grilled platter came out first very fast and the meats were delectable. Love the sausage. Again... toast the bread but everything else was delicious. The paella didn't take long at all. It lived up to our expectations. Delicious and hot, enough to fill us up with whatever room was left. The nicest part was Omar brought us complimentary shots of some sort of strawberry cocktail with a chili rim. He was so thoughtful and brought my sister who was 12 a non alcoholic version. We cheered to a good time. It was so good!!! Then we asked for dessert recommendations. Omar suggested the Torrijas / Classic spanish dessert, bread soaked in sweet cream, fried & drizzled in honey .. so that's what we got. It was SO yummy like tres leches French toast. With their website you get a 30 dollar off first visit coupon using the inkind app. I signed up and it worked perfectly. After the discount all that food came out to $150. Insane for a party of 5. I tipped 30 and using that inkind app got 30 dollars cash back to use anywhere on the app. But ill use it here. Come to TORO for a great time. Linger. Talk. Enjoy unique flavors. Felt like going to Spain.

So just a heads up if you're visiting this location. Service definitely needed improvement as the waitress completely inattentive and only saw her twice during my time there. I saw a couple of other patrons just as irritated waiting and looking around for her too. When ordering I asked if the stock they used contained shrimp in it due to an allergy at the table. She continued to recommend every dish that contained shrimp rather than answer about the stock- even after being told about the allergy. Finally got my answer after pointing directly to the menu mentioning the seafood stock. Food was okay. Waited a bit longer but reasonably so due to the allergy and food prep. When the server came she asked if we needed more water- which we did. We waited the entire service for that refill, again nowhere to be seen. We were done with our food for about 30 minutes till she finally checked up on us, with the bill. The restaurant added an automatic gratuity of 20% mind you the restaurant policy was only for parties of 6 or more. Like it made me question the service at this location if they're getting tips but not delivering in service. Definitely wouldn't recommend this location.

The cheesy tots were not that cheesy but the fries were delicious and everybody enjoyed their food. It was fresh tasty not overly salted. Service was great and they have an outdoor dining area and it was sunny and breezy almost a touch too cold, but it was too beautiful of a day to be indoors. Lots of parents with infants. They had some shot specials for Saint Paddy's day seven dollar Jamison shots no pickle backs, they have pineapple or orange juice shots to chase it. I wish they had a drive-through so I can try all their breakfast burritos in the morning. I just can't get motivated sometimes. Burgers have Hawaiian rolls as buns I like that because it kind of teases the savory with the sweet. Only drawback is the pricing I fear for the want to be regulars wanting to enjoy the drafts and tater tots

2/5 stars I came…read morehere around 10:00 p.m. on a Sunday, about an hour before closing. There was no line, only a few people sitting at the bar, so I wasn't expecting a long wait. The first issue was using the InKind app. We spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to use it because ordering ahead wasn't working, and none of the employees seemed familiar with the process. One employee was patient, friendly, and genuinely tried to help us figure it out, which I appreciated. After finally placing our order, we were told it would take about 15 minutes. Instead, we waited roughly 40 minutes, and didn't receive our food until 11:00 p.m., right at closing. I understand we came during the last hour before closing, which is why I specifically asked if we had enough time. If the kitchen was backed up or our order was going to take 40+ minutes that late in the evening, I would have completely understood. I just wish we had been told that up front instead of being quoted 15 minutes. By the time we received our food, it was closing time. Thankfully we ordered it to go, because if we'd planned to eat there, we wouldn't have had the opportunity. When our food was finally ready, the bag was already ripping because something inside had leaked. The employee noticed right away, grabbed two new bags, and repacked everything, which I appreciated. We ordered quite a bit to sample the menu: the Cali Chick (lettuce wrapped), Hot Chick, Buff Chick, Little Mule, Totchos, onion strings, sweet potato fries, and a Teriyaki Chicken Caesar Wrap (which we haven't tried yet, so I can't comment on that one). Unfortunately, the food we did eat was very disappointing. The lettuce-wrapped Cali Chick was a mess--the lettuce was so wilted it couldn't even function as a wrap. The onion strings, Totchos, and sweet potato fries had all lost their crispness by the time we got them, and everything was lukewarm or cold. The Little Mule ended up being our favorite burger, while the Hot Chick definitely delivered on the spice. Ironically, the sweet potato fries were my favorite side, even though they came in the smallest portion. Our total was over $100 before the InKind discount, and I honestly wouldn't pay full price for this meal. The quality just didn't match the price. I don't know if the kitchen was short-staffed or if something else was going on that night, but waiting 40 minutes after being quoted 15 minutes--especially with almost no one else ordering--only to receive cold, soggy food was incredibly disappointing. I do want to give credit to the employee who helped us. He was polite, apologized several times for the delay, and even repacked our order when he noticed the leaking bag. Unfortunately, the overall experience and food quality just didn't live up to the price. Based on this visit, I couldn't justify spending over $100 for the experience we received. I hope this was just an off night, but it was disappointing enough that I felt it deserved a 2-star review.
