ELSEWHERE TOO -- LOOK FOR THE ZEBRA. First things first: you are on the frontage road of 1604 headed west, and you will see a zebra. You will also see some other large mammal--I believe we have a giraffe situation happening--and then you will probably miss the turn. There is a lot of native greenery around the entrance, so you can't miss it if you're looking for it, which I realize makes absolutely no sense. My friend missed it. I did not, and that is absolutely going in the review. If you have a hard time finding it, apparently putting Discount Tire into your GPS can help. I apparently have a hard time. Story of my life. Once you make the turn, though, you suddenly see this impressively large, completely lit-up Ferris wheel, and for a Tuesday night, I wouldn't have expected anything less. Welcome to Elsewhere Too. Elsewhere Too is the whimsical sister of Elsewhere downtown, which is already an amazing San Antonio spot. I love the downtown location with the swings, so when I discovered there was another Elsewhere on the Northside with a 52-foot Ferris wheel, I was obviously going. And honestly? It's like Alice in Wonderland. There is a greenhouse filled with natural light that can be rented for private parties. There are plants and lights and huge outdoor spaces, covered seating, fans and misters for our ridiculous San Antonio summers, and fire pits and heaters when Texas finally remembers winter exists. You can even roast marshmallows. Then there is the Ferris wheel. Ten dollars for adults. Six dollars for children. About a ten-minute ride. And then Maddie and Peyton handed me two golden tickets. Bro. I just got two golden tickets. I'm not supposed to be getting anything free as a reviewer, but alas, I wasn't going to turn down a Ferris wheel ticket. Then they informed me of something even more important: YOU CAN TAKE YOUR DRINK ON THE FERRIS WHEEL. Now we're talking. The service here was genuinely fantastic. Maddie and Peyton were fun, welcoming, helpful, and immediately made me feel like I had wandered into the right place on exactly the right Tuesday night. I originally asked for something sparkling with alcohol. We discussed a Dirty Shirley--which, if you somehow missed childhood, adulthood, and every wedding reception in between, is basically a Shirley Temple with vodka. You're signing me up. Oh! And I couldn't believe it. They market a very special drink. Payton number 2 ran the Ferris wheel. I got tickets and it was the best thing I could've done! I got to view our city from the top of a lit up carousel San Antonio is truly such a gem. "Do y'all still sell THC here?" They do. I started with a frozen drink with a quirky face in it! The drink selection here is different from a traditional bar because they don't sell hard liquor. Instead, they specialize in craft beer, wine, canned cocktails, THC beverages and fermented cocktails. There are also sodas and sparkling waters. Elsewhere Too is completely outdoors with tons of seating, and another HUGE win: BRING YOUR PUPPIES. They welcome animals as long as they're leashed. It is also family-friendly until 8 p.m. daily, and after 8 p.m., the venue becomes 16+. There is no entry fee, which makes this an incredibly easy place to decide on at the last minute. Smaller parties generally don't need reservations because most tables seat around ten people and seating is first come, first served. And apparently San Antonio agrees with me about this place because Elsewhere Too picked up recognition from the San Antonio Current for Best New Bar and Best Patio in 2026. Great decision, Jenn. Go fight win. Here's another thing I loved about tonight. I don't come to this side of town much anymore. I lived around this area for years, and life looks very different for me now. I am starting over after leaving a 27-year marriage, and there is something really beautiful about discovering that your own city still has places you've never seen. Places where you can sit outside on a Tuesday. Write. Color in little squares on your paper. Talk to strangers. Make new friends. Drink something frozen. And then get on a giant Ferris wheel because two bartenders just handed you golden tickets. Tuesday is a great day for writers. There's not much going down. And sometimes that is exactly what you need. That's one reason I encourage people to become Yelp reviewers. It gets you out into your own city. You find cool places, weird places, beautiful places and things you might have driven past a hundred times without ever noticing. Sometimes you just have to get out there. So let me have a good time--and come join us at a place called Elsewhere. Just remember: Look for the zebra. If you hit Anchor Bar, you've gone too far. Turn around.
This is a late review. I came here for a crawfish event. Now I cannot mix the crawfish with this venue. For the venue it is a really cool space with the Ferris wheel. Great space for getting together with friends and having some drinks. I didn't try their food but my friend did and it is very mediocre. After all it is a bar! They had trivia night and it seemed everyone was having a great time Will I make a plan to visit myself? I don't think so but for sure I will return if a group of friends is visiting
I was surprised that the cost extra to go on and was really surprised at the cost of it. Tables are on a first come basis not surprisingly, but I thought there would be a lot more of them. The parking lot is small so car pool/ride sharing is best. I went on the weekend and was also surprised to find out they only serve a limited menu all day, but online and at the order window it doesn't seem to say it. Only once I started to order did I find out any details. You can't order regular drinks at the food window, only at the bar. They do not have fountain drinks or ice tea. Only canned nonalcoholic beverages. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but decent. Over all it wasn't as kid friendly as I was lead to believe, but would go back with just adults on a Thursday evening or something.
Cool little place in the neck of the woods. Been to the one downtown and cool to come out to Northside. It was a Saturday afternoon and still warm, but cool place to hang with a big TV set up. Beer selection food and staff works well.
We decided to come in because we had previously been to Elsewhere and the LuckySpotDog Rescue was going to be there. We got one of our dogs from the LuckySpot. Everyone was very friendly. They keep it very neat and clean. The food was good my cheeseburger was a bit drippy and messy, but it tasted good. I had a beer and margarita. The margarita was made with agave tequila and not wine. I liked the flavor, but it was a bit sweet. We brought our dogs hoping to get them more socialized. It is dog friendly but I noticed there weren't any poop stations in the parking lot. I would come back, but it is a drive for us. 3 beers and a margarita were ~$40 and the burgers w/fries were also ~$40.

Tasty cauliflower dish and burger special. All outdoor self-seating. Food pick up at counter. Large screen tv. Different types of outdoor seating. Area handicap accessible. Parking is very limited.
Made it on an earlier time on a Saturday. Parking still a challenge but able to find at a farther are where we walked Food was good, didn't really order drinks. They have the buzz system to let you know your order is ready to be picked up at the counter. I like that the food and drinks are separate. Lines can get long. Perfect weather for an outdoor place like this. They have love music and that does seal the aura of the place. They have big screen where you can watch football. Quite a pretty place. It got crowded later. Better weekend in Elsewhere Too this time!
I have been wanting to try this place but thought I'd wait for the crowd to calm down. Finally had the opportunity to visit and the atmosphere is pretty cute. Let me say that I can see parking can be a mission to find depending on the time and day you come. We were able to snag parking but the lot was pretty full and limited. The entrance to this place can also be easily missed. You're better off turning into the gun range and loop back to the area. When you walk up to the entrance you're greeted with a sign and lights. The place was decorated in colorful Christmas decor. There is two bar are one which serves food. They have a ferris wheel, plenty of seating areas, covered patios and what looked like a walking trail in the back. There was also a small train but didn't know if that worked. When we went there was live music playing. What did we order? We ordered the cauliflower buffalo wings, a burger with waffle fries and drinks. I ordered a mango margarita and my husband ordered a Modelo. Everything looked and tasted good. Staff was very friendly and the place itself was nice. We were able to sit down at a table and eat while we enjoyed our drinks. I would have liked to seen the place light up at night but I'm sure it also gets very busy then. I would definitely recommend and return again.
We've been fans of the original Elsewhere for years, so we were thrilled when this new location opened up on our side of town. Of course, we had to check it out on opening day! The setup is so cute -- it's colorful, creative, and has that signature Elsewhere charm with plenty of cozy seating and fun little touches everywhere you look. The whole place feels bright, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out with friends or a casual date night!
This place has so much going on (in a good way), I'm amazed with the vibe that comes with it. It's a real nice place to come sit down enjoy some food and some adult drinks. Mind you that they do sell drinks that are THC infused. If you in the mood you can hop on and ride the Ferris wheel...yes Ferris wheel. The service and the lines for food and drinks seem to move along at a descent pace. The grounds are well kept as well... The only thing that keeps me from getting them a five star is their parking situation. It's a real tight drive around there parking lot especially on a busy night which you do have a lot of vehicles parking on the grassy area.

As a huge fan of the original Elsewhere in midtown along the Riverwalk, I of course had to come check out the new location in the Northwest side of the city. The actual location itself wasn't quite what I was expecting. It's not directly off of 1064 and is behind a basic, nondescript beige office building that you have to drive a narrow, one-way street down. But fear not, head past that boring office buiding and follow the twinkling lights of the vintage looking ferris wheel to guide you to Elsewhere Too. The cute outdoor spot has more room to sprawl than it's big sister location and is adorned with several cute photo opportunities. There are two different "stations" if you will - one for food and one for drinks. I went with my food order first (going with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich) and then placed my drink order. Service at booth the food station and bar were fast and the staff super friendly. It only took about 10-15 minutes for our food to be ready and recevie our text to come up to the window to grab our food. The drinks we tried were all tasty and I LOVED the Alice in Wonderland themed Drink Me. The sandwich was super tasty and incredibly moist and the piece of chicken on it was HUGE. Would def order again although the buffalo chicken sandwich was also calling my name. I live in the Midtown area, so I probably won't be abandoning the original location for the new one anytime soon - but I'll def be back to this great new addition to the Northwest side of San Antonio.

Such an amazing place to hangout with friends and family! There's so many fun and cool events happening (like markets, yoga, movie nights, etc.) I had visited back in December and was truly blown away. I really love the downtown location, but this one has a completely different vibe. It's comforting, warm and well-maintained. I'll definitely be back to stop by for a movie night /and to try their foods/drinks! read more

An absolute GEM! Just as wonderful as their 1st location in downtown SATX on the riverwalk. This location just opened a couple of months ago and we brought our daughter here on Xmas Eve during her visit from WA. It is a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing open concept with a beautiful design and so many beautiful details. It's currently decorated for Christmas and it adds such a special holiday touch! They have a full bar with specialty drinks, a snack bar, a Ferris wheel you can ride and so many photo ops! Service is great and ambiance is so lively! Love love love this place! Highly recommend! read more
Really cool place, with great seating from park bench style to fire pit lawn chairs. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and other types of cocktails. There is a huge projector tv and good music. They even have a food concession stand. This place has a great vibe and is a place to come relax with family or a group of friends to chill and enjoy. The Ferris wheel is great for kids and adults. Definitely a great date night spot. read more

The atmosphere is amazing, lots of areas for photo ops. The venue is large but still not large enough for the crowd, but that could be due to a company party happening at the time. The Ferris wheel is cute but cost $10 a person. All of the drinks and food are pricey. I did have a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. As others have mentioned parking is a nightmare however they also offer valet for $20. The entrance as well is not very noticeable off the highway. Overall it was nice when we went but I wouldn't go back. read more

Spacious outdoor bar and a great place to hang out with friends and family. Don't worry about the Texas heat as there are multiple fans and misters around. Prices are a little higher than average for the drinks and food but they did taste amazing. They lacked the amount of TV entertainment that can be viewed from any area but had a fairly decent board that had 4 monitors showing different games. Kids enjoyed running around near the Ferris Wheel and climbing some mounds of rock away from the drinking adults. Enjoyed the vibe and friendly staff here. read more

Visit on a Monday, got there with no crowd. Got a watermelon cucumber drink, soo good. The vibe was great, the music was good. Was just relaxing. I really enjoyed the use of the space. Would like to visit again and check it out the night life. read more

Fun fun fun! Lots of outdoor space, very cute set ups, has a mini Ferris wheel, and performers for added entertainment. I live in Frisco but visited while in San Antonio and would definitely recommend to locals or anyone visiting. I didn't try the food because we ate dinner before hand but it looked fine from what I saw. Staff was friendly and the girls were sweet. Not sure how it will be in the dead of summer heat but for late February it was perfect. read more

This location is super cute! It's a great environment for casual dates or friend get togethers! You order at the window and sit wherever is open. There's a lot of seating and space but they do get really busy. It was cute during the holidays, and Thursdays had a little market event. read more

First time visit! Enjoyed warm exchanges with staff, comfortable atmosphere, food was fantastic & music was diverse with a blend of oldie and trending. Altogether, I spent two hours relaxing in sunshine and a fun space. read more

Colorful, positive, entertaining and wonderful service. The minute you walk in one feels Elsewhere. We all need this positivity in our lives. The food is great; the bar is endless (please drink responsibly) and the ferris wheel, what an amazing view. We celebrated with our family and everyone loved it. What a great location and it only will grow with time. Every worker is very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back again and again. Plus I found out they have a Market Days on Sat & Sun. Super cute items. read more

if you're looking for a great place to meet up with friends, celebrate a birthday, enjoy a gorgeous sunset... I highly recommend this spot!!
