I liked what we ate .. it was just not as expected. The pineapple chicken and Rice I expected as a bowl ... it came as whole pieces of chicken that had been marinated. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was a mess and had to be eaten with a fork and knife. It was tasty though. The service was good.

The food was good. However, I asked about their fries and they said they were frozen. They were not bad but I personally like hand cut fries. The service was great our waitress was really sweet! They do offer you drink samples. The ambiance was nice and it is dimly lit! I would definitely come back!

Seated quickly with choice of inside or outside. Brittney was our waitress and she was quick and courteous. Had the fish taco and the carnitas taco. Ordered the truffle fries with turkey club. Came out quick and hot. Delicious

Midweek meet up with my adult kids...the beer is always cold and the service is great! We sat on the patio, since we brought a fur baby...the waitress brought her out a bowl of water with ice. Our waitress checked on us often, brought refills before we asked and the timing on everything was on point. Each of us loved our lunch! I had an appetizer of 4 sliders and a side of parm truffle french fries...delicious! One of us had the mushroom pizza and one crispy beef noodles and our 8 year old had cheese pizza off the kids menu. We all needed to go boxes...huge portions.

Went for our daughters birthday. We got sat right away, server came within minutes. Food was delicious. The cheese curds we got could have used some extra frying and the spinach dip was missing something but still good enough to eat. Ambiance was good football Monday so was nice to watch the game and eat.

    Happy Hour Menu

Getting out of work early I decide to meet up with the fellas for a little happy hour so off I go to Yard House. When I get to LaCantera, I get lucky as someone is pulling out of a primo-parking spot right up front...things are looking up. I get there first and go inside and take a seat at the bar and shortly thereafter the bartender comes by and introduces herself and runs down the happy hour menu for me, very nice. After a couple of tasters, I decide to start off with a summer shandy. It's a very refreshing summer beer and provides a nice counter to my normal amber favorites. My buddies are running late and the bartender notices that I'm by myself, so she comes over to shoot the breeze and keep me company for a little bit. Very nice of her. My buddies finally get there so we all stay at the bar and are well taken care of the rest of the night. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Yard House, and the service was top notch. I'll have to come by more often.

Yum! The chicken nachos hit the spot every time. It is a hearty portion of nacho chips loaded with chicken and toppings. It can be shared as an app or eaten as a meal. Either way, it's a winner.

Yard house has the best hot chicken sandwich that I have tried so far in San Antonio! The coleslaw was perfectly sweet and crunchy, the chicken was very crispy. Just the perfect kick of spice. You can't go wrong with the fries both sweet potato and aoili were good. And the pickle was an added bonus. Staff were very quick and friendly! Always kept checking in on us. Great place and not too far from the parking lot so you don't have to walk super far into la cantera. Also any seat had a great view of outside, big windows! Overall great restaurant and worth the price!

Guys seriously my table was ready 7:33 pm we received our food 8:45 they messed up my salad , all my family ate , didnt get my salad till 9:06 !! Go there only if you're planning to spend the whole day

20 Oz. Bone-In Ribeye with a Shrimp Skewer
    Adley V.

We arrived a little after 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday. Our hostess sat us almost immediately. They have high tables with chairs, long booth seating, bar seating, or an outside covered patio. We opted for booth seating because it was still hot outside. It's a little dim on the inside but you can still easily navigate through the restaurant. Our server Hailey was very nice, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. We started off with the blackened ahi sashimi. It was surprisingly good for a restaurant that's not traditionally known for sushi, and it was super tasty and fresh. The presentation was nice, flavorful, and a nice size portion for an appetizer. For the mains, my wife ordered the Thai grilled pork chop. It was tender, not dry, juicy, and the portion size was big! 11 Oz. It also had a sweet and sour sauce for dipping, and the sides were a cauliflower fried rice with sautéed vegetables. The sides were savory, crisp, and had a hint of smokiness. I ordered the 20 oz. Bone-In Rib Eye with a skewer of 6 shrimp. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare. The shrimp were grilled amazingly and were huge. The mashed potato sides and broccolini tasted freshly made but nothing spectacular. There was a barbecue steak sauce that came on the side but I really didn't eat it with my steak because it didn't need it. The Ribeye was perfectly seasoned and I would definitely get it again. Overall, this place was great. They had a little bit of everything on the menu. Also, if you like beer, they have so many beers on tap and they rotate often according to the season and what's available. We've been here a few times already and this place never seems to disappoint. Highly recommend!!!

Went here to celebrate our son's birthday with the family. We haven't been here in awhile. Our server was great as there were 12 of us (5 were children), the food and drinks were very good. It's a good place for groups and the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable as is the food

What Covid precautions are currently (as of 5/10/21) being taken?

Employees wear gloves and masks. They sanitize after every customer and also provide sanitizer at the front door. Social distancing is observed. I suggest sitting outside if the weather is nice but that's my personal preference.

    Do they have live music?

Hey Victoria! We do not have live music at any of our locations. We do have awesome curated classic rock playlists though.

Knowing…read morethat Chef Mike was ending his run, I wanted, no, needed to get one last bowl of the Hakata Ramen. My only regret was never being able to taste Chef Mike's menudo ramen. But still, whatever you order here, you're in for something truly special. Despite the sad news of the closing, service was always given with a smile. Our waitress was attentive, helpful, and sweet. I ordered the Hakata Ramen and a Dr Pepper (after my friend and I had coffee at Indy next door). The six minute egg is probably my favorite part. No wait, it's the broth. Or is it the noodles? Ugh, it's all great. The egg was delicious. Jammy yolk. The noodles were springy and chewy. The broth was rich and unctuous. The pork was soft and flavorful. Even when I took the leftovers home, it was still fantastic. The steam facial I received provided much relief from my mountain cedar allergies. There will be a huge ramen-bowl shaped hole in my heart and San Antonio's heart once Noodle Tree closes. They have the best ramen in the city and ramen shops have some incredibly large shoes to fill. Best of luck to you, Chef Mike. Thank you for all the magic you created in your kitchen.

Located in La Cantera and adjacent to Perry's, it's a large location but parking can be a bit tricky at times. It's loud, so don't come here if you're looking for quiet and intimate. More or less a hang out, kick it with friends kinda vibe. By the door, they have chewy caramels that you can nosh on while waiting for your table or to grab on your way out. Maybe we did both? lol they even sell some small apothecary type stuff as well. Ok let's get to the food! We got the crab cake and the colossal cinnamon roll to start. The kids loved the colossal cinnamon roll. Perfectly balanced with a toffee sauce and spiced pecans. Husband wanted savory so he got the crab cake. It's not Maryland style but it uses gulf crab and a mustardy-seed mix. He and the eldest really enjoyed it! Me, I liked the pickled onions and frisée. I got the steak & eggs hash with a sunny side up egg and medium steak. The steak was just right and had a good flavor. The shishito peppers could've used a touch of salt but they were a good contrast to the crispy fried potatoes, which were large chunks by the way. If only I could have a whole saucier of the avocado hollandaise . It was delicious on the potatoes and the steak! The shrimp and grits were definitely diff from the version we had last year but we liked it! Very vibrant and fresher tasting! The eldest had chicken and waffle. Comes with 2 tenders, 2 eggs your way (she chose sunny side), 1 waffle, syrup and creamy sausage gravy. I normally don't care for sausage gravy but this was NTS! The youngest had the kids Macaroni and cheese, which comes with your choice of 1 side (we chose green beans). We were pleasantly surprised to see it also came with carrots, which she happily ate. Like and crunchy green beans with a creamy and cheesy Mac! Servers don't hover and there's plenty walking around if you need to grab someone's attention for something. I'm gonna miss this establishment when we move back to the east coast

From the moment you approach the restaurant- Not even walk in- you are greeted by a professional and hospitable staff. In the front 2 young workers gave us sangria samples and helped take my photo. So smiley and kind. Then I checked into my table at the host stand. Our table was in a gorgeous lit room by the stairs. The inside was so breathtakingly beautiful and clean . The restrooms as well. Our server Omar quickly filled our drink cups with cold water and took our actual drink order. They have premium lemomades and also fountain drinks with free refills. When he returned he gave us great recommendations from their 8 dollar tapas menu on happy hour (M-F 3-6). We ordered 3: Tacos de Cochinita Pibil / Slow cooked pork marinated in achiote sauce . Calamares Fritos / Fried steak calamari w/ alioli sauce ... Albondigas / Five Spanish pork meatballs marinated in wine tomato sauce with bread .... The bread with the meatballs should be toasted and it was cold. The calamari were AMAZING. Not chewy at all. And tacos unique and flavorful. It took a while to decide but with Omar's guidance and a lot of research beforehand, I reccomend large parties order these to get the best tasting experience: Parrillada Española / Spanish grilled feast with morcilla, 4oz Spanish sirloin, chistorra, three fried jumbo shrimp, and poached potatoes with alioli Toro Paella / Toro's Classic recipe voted best in San Antonio! Jumbo shrimp, mussels, chicken, calamari, pork belly & spanish chorizo . The grilled platter came out first very fast and the meats were delectable. Love the sausage. Again... toast the bread but everything else was delicious. The paella didn't take long at all. It lived up to our expectations. Delicious and hot, enough to fill us up with whatever room was left. The nicest part was Omar brought us complimentary shots of some sort of strawberry cocktail with a chili rim. He was so thoughtful and brought my sister who was 12 a non alcoholic version. We cheered to a good time. It was so good!!! Then we asked for dessert recommendations. Omar suggested the Torrijas / Classic spanish dessert, bread soaked in sweet cream, fried & drizzled in honey .. so that's what we got. It was SO yummy like tres leches French toast. With their website you get a 30 dollar off first visit coupon using the inkind app. I signed up and it worked perfectly. After the discount all that food came out to $150. Insane for a party of 5. I tipped 30 and using that inkind app got 30 dollars cash back to use anywhere on the app. But ill use it here. Come to TORO for a great time. Linger. Talk. Enjoy unique flavors. So just a heads up if you're visiting this location. Service definitely needed improvement as the waitress completely inattentive and only saw her twice during my time there. I saw a couple of other patrons just as irritated waiting and looking around for her too. When ordering I asked if the stock they used contained shrimp in it due to an allergy at the table. She continued to recommend every dish that contained shrimp rather than answer about the stock- even after being told about the allergy. Finally got my answer after pointing directly to the menu mentioning the seafood stock. Food was okay. Waited a bit longer but reasonably so due to the allergy and food prep. When the server came she asked if we needed more water- which we did. We waited the entire service for that refill, again nowhere to be seen. We were done with our food for about 30 minutes till she finally checked up on us, with the bill. The restaurant added an automatic gratuity of 20% mind you the restaurant policy was only for parties of 6 or more. Like it made me question the service at this location if they're getting tips but not delivering in service. Definitely wouldn't recommend this location.

The birthday girl and another friend arrived early, before me and my other friend so they both ordered appetizers and drinks. Of course we all couldn't finish it so we took our leftovers home. A couple of friends even ordered Pork Chops to go for their hubbies. One friend orders the Pork Chops from Seasons 52 and she was impressed with this one as well as the deal! She also scarfed on the bread and was raving about it but ate so much before the Pork Chop arrived that she was a little full! Kenzi came by once in awhile so we just poured our own waters from the carafe we set aside on the shelf behind. She took it, though but came back later to pour more. For a bday dessert choice, my friend ordered the trio of mini desserts so we could all try them. Nice little bites after a heavy meal. When we paid, Kenzi accidentally put my bday friend's Pork Chop on mine and added the bday salad and drink on my other friend's tab when she was supposed to pay for all of the bday friend's meal. Kenzi apologized and corrected it. She might have been overwhelmed by the volume of people? Restrooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies. We used it before we left then went to the front to have photos taken. When I asked the hostess/check-in area, where there were 3 female employees, one female employee said "Sure" yet one female just looked away dismissively which I thought was odd. I just had a questionable feeling because we were sat in a corner and then the female turning her head away felt like she was ignoring us. I know they're busy seating people but this was already 2:45pm. I think the male employee with a grey suit who was behind the station standing there may have been the Manager saw no one stepped up so he offered to take our photos. He had a friendly attitude and thanked us for coming in. Duly noted...

Visited 5-15-26 with my 2 littles and my husband, for lunch. We had a reservation and were seated…read morepromptly. The server was excellent. We ordered the special for our littles, and it came on split plates, which was nice. We also ordered fried shrimp and received 3 in a little ceramic bowl. My daughter enjoyed them. Our meal came out promptly. We had the pork chop special with Brussels sprouts, spinach salad. My husband also enjoyed a top shelf jalapeno margarita. Everything was tasty, as expected. Their bread pudding dessert is phenomenal and was a hit with the kiddos. The server bagged our leftovers and we went about our day with happy tummies.
