    Burrata Flatbread

A spacious and clean Irish pub dive bar. Coming in at 4:30pm on a rainy Saturday, two gentlemen at the bar were attentive and welcoming. Menus for food are QR code, but we weren't really sure about specialty drink selection if they had one. Then again it's a dive bar. Lots of draft options. We put in food which came out pretty quickly. Though you pick it up from this small window where the lower the food to you in the dining area. The flat bread was more like a burrata and bruschetta on toast? The name of the app is misleading though the description is right. The fried pickles were SO delicious. Crunchy, not too greasy, and there was a generous portion. Highly recommend. No frills. Exactly what you expect.

While babylon village has ample bars/pubs/restaurants to suit just about everyone's tastes, only 1 has a place that stays open late! Metered parking on Deer Park Ave in front- municipal lot behind. All the wood n such gives the inside a bit of a cabin/lodge feel. During warm weather months, an outdoor area and "back bar" to address the overflow. *was there for post Pride event- last summer and this place was jammed! Local bar feel and vibe, lots of locals and as stated, late night hours draw in a younger crowd so us "mature" folk who may not want to be surrounded by 20sumthins be advised. However, a great spot to catch your favorite sports teams on the tube, plenty of televisions to croon your neck at. Full bar and lots of taps. Decent pub fare as well. Priced accordingly and clean.

Great for late night bites. Typical bar food menu. The mozzarella sticks weren't as great as I hoped, the cheese just didn't seem to melt. The calamari was good. I wouldn't recommend coming here for just food but overall it is a great bar to have some drinks at.

Yeah, well, come hate us on Yelp is their motto and I know why people do but you go to scary Mary's when the nights winding down to give it a bit of a shock to the system, or you go for the wings or your bartenders or just for some good wholesome fun. I just like that you can poo inside of a giant Guinness glass when needed.

After a long day of work, this is a great spot for friends to hang out, the drink selection is adequate, and the bartender is friendly.

We came here for a late night to meet up with friends to grab some drinks for a friend's birthday. Mary Carroll's has that laid back bar feel where the locals hang out. Friends and family meet up to chill and grab a few beers. We stayed more towards the front of the bar where there is hightop tables across from the bar. The are three sections of beer on tap at the bar. So the selection has a good variety. Not sure what to get? The bartender can give you suggestions based on your usual drink of choice. They are friendly and happy to help. I haven't tried the food, so I can not say how it is. We came early in the night, but as the night got longer the crowd started to roll in. Overall it's a good place to grab a beer and catch up with friends.

Beat pretzel on Long Island!!! Ate the whole thing and left no crumbs! Must come on down for one

We were looking for a place to eat before going to a concert and decided on The Argyle. I think…read morethis was my second time here because I remembered the watermelon martini so I ordered that again. I loved it! I remember it being in a larger glass years ago but oh well, I ended up ordering 2! Our waiter was extremely nice and personable. The restaurant itself was nice as well but unbelievably loud! Loud music and loud talking because people couldn't hear each other over the music. I started with a mango jicama salad from the specials menu, it was delicious, I definitely recommend it and I hope they still have it if I ever get back that way. I also ordered another appetizer for my dinner, mediterranean flatbread. It was mid. The toppings were good but the bread didn't seem fresh. Not a deterrent for a future visit though. I'll hopefully be back, there are so many interesting things on the menu and i definitely have to try some of the other drinks.

I had a delicious dinner, from appetizer to dessert…read more My server, Holly, assisted me with menu selections and was wonderful and friendly. She treated me like a VIP. The menu is eclectic: everything from Fried Goat Cheese to Spicy Stuffed Rigatoni to Parm Truffle Fries. I ordered the Au Poivre Skewers and Taste of Long Island Oysters as appetizers. For a cocktail, I had an Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Dubai Martini. The Au Poivre Sauce was on par with any steakhouse in NYC, the oysters tasted fresh caught, the Old Fashioned was magnificent with Bourbon Cherries, and the Dubai Martini (a dessert, not a cocktail) was rich and chocolatey. The food and drink are a little pricey for what you get, but that is the story with most restaurants these days. The crowd was a little noisy. It was hard to hear what the bartender was saying to sometimes, but that is just me, Gail B., usually having difficulty tuning out the restaurant/bar crowd.

Prost! Best Spot all year round for: catching a local band, watching sports on a giant screen…read more(tented), celebrating Oktoberfest, and more. This place is the things you'd want in an outdoor Beer garden - casual eats in the Brat Haus and beers on tap. Not to mention the in-house private event space that does have air conditioning. Perfect for parties of 20-700! Says it on the website and I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself. This review is for The Hive restaurant specifically since that's where I had my meal. A beautiful bar with a Stein wall with lockers for patrons who wish to store them - you see that just past the host station. The indoor dining room just beyond. We started with the Wurst Sampler Platter. Think bratwurst, knackwurst, krainerwurst, and jalapeno cheddar bratwurst. I had no idea there were so many varieties and it was paired with the best potato salad I've ever had. Authentic and delicious sauerkraut to match. Also ordered the House-Cured Slab bacon, paired with a blackberry gastrique. Excellent choices I must say. For dinner, we just had to try the Schnitzel. Admittingly, it was hard to decide (all were veal options and there was one chicken option)! I chose the Champignon Rahmschnitzel and hubby got the Jager Schnitzel. Both were topped with sauce and mushrooms - but entirely different. The Rahmschitzel was breaded veal and had a white creamy mushroom sauce. So delicious! And the Jager one was pan-seared veal with a demi-glace sauce. Outstanding as expected...I was literally drooling at every plate that passed me by. Topped my meal with some hard cider and I was golden. Stuffed and happy! Plattduetsche Park is so rich in history and they have established roots in the community going back 100+ years (established in 1901). What a fantastic place to be - come for the great cuisine and the culture. No special occasion needed. (Reservations suggested for The Hive restaurant - opens daily starting at 3PM). BTW, the Ompahfest (festival) is on Sept. 20th, 2026. Zum Wohl!

Mother's Day in the Beer Hall-…read more We were seated at a long and narrow table (not the ones that are usually in the beer hall) next to the service door. We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. I do not think we will come back for a special holiday again.
