I usually love shopping at Marshall's and TJ Maxx and visit many different locations because I always find great deals. I'm also not someone who typically leaves negative reviews, but this particular visit was disappointing. I arrived around 9:08 PM just to browse briefly, and within about five minutes an associate told me I needed to leave because the store was "closed" at 9:13. I didn't argue and simply continued looking for my boyfriend so we could head out. A few minutes later, around 9:18, I ran into the same associate again and was told once more that I needed to leave. Since the posted closing time is 9:30, I asked about it and was told they were closing early because the manager wanted to. At that point, the situation became frustrating. More than the early closing itself, it was the associate's tone and demeanor that left a bad impression. Clear communication and a more courteous approach would have made a big difference. read more

Recently visited again in search of this Korean cleansing oil that I found at the Marshalls in Palm Springs back in November. I was going through ALL of the skincare products and was losing hope when I found it! The Pretty Skin brand cleansing oil has been my go-to cleansing oil for the last 6 months and I found two of them in a brown box. They were a different type of cleansing oil but worked just as great as the Jeju Cica oil. While I was looking for this, I came across a few other Korean brand skincare that I've never heard of and looked them up on my phone and they were also highly rated and now appear in my TikTok algorithm as there are many live sales of these products. When I first got to the skincare section I kind of almost slipped and noticed on the ground someone had spilled hand soap all over the ground and the bottle was under a shoe rack. We notified one of the sales associates and they acted quickly and got someone to bring out the caution sign and also clean up the area. I was glad to see they were on top of things and weren't casually letting it go. I still prefer this location over the Ontario Mills location because it's less chaotic and they still have a great selection. read more

The parking lot is shared so you might have to walk a short distance to get to entrance. The baskets are sketchy but you can generally find a 'working' one. Store is well lit some of the aisles are a little tight and there is some disorder on the shelves. The one bright note about shopping or browsing, the manager, a nice blonde lady if she runs across you will go out of her way to make your experience a good one. The racks are tight and disheveled, sizes out of place . I wish they had better selections in LUGGAGE , more colors, designs, pretty jumbled up black mess. I was pleased that my cashier worked with me to ensure my appliance worked so I didn't have to return or donate it for failure to do so. Every time I come in here they are friendly... not the most organized location but I can say that I come here to purchase my stock of gift wrapping paper. Seriously the paper is affordable and not of cheap quality (easy to tear/rip), the designs are classy, pretty perfect for a nice Christmas present, Birthday or Wedding gifts. As for the other items...I find that TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Tuesday Morning, Ross and Home Goods carry a lot of the same stuff. My recommendation when purchasing linens or towels do some research on the brands because I find the quality of the sheets and towels leave a lot to be desired. Maybe fine for an extra bedroom or bath but if you are gift buying do the homework. I personally hate giving items that the product sucks. Today I went to Marshall's with my daughter because on Instagram and TikTok we saw stuff about clearance items being marked down by the week. When we went to check out we had brought this up and the nice young worker at the checkout didn't know if it was true so she called up the manger. The manager's name was Kim, she had come up with a nasty face and attitude. When we had addressed this "hack" she said in the rudest way possible "we mark down next week, and why are you believing TikTok stuff anyways" . The whole time this woman had an attitude. I usually shop this store all the time and had no problems until today. I was standing in line waiting for a register and they called out for register 5 , so I went to that register and there was no one there. So I'm waiting there and the workers saw that I was there waiting and no one helped me. I finally asked someone and they just said that no one is working that register and she didn't even offer to help or anything! I was not happy and thought that was handled very poor. This is my new favorite Marshall's! Although the juniors department was not fully stocked (which I understand due to COVID), I still had a great shopping experience. The staff was so friendly including my cashier Jacqueline who was super sweet and efficient. My mom loves to shop at Marshalls. There are some great deals to be had if you know what you're looking for. We came here to pick up some sports bras and they had plenty for a discount. Their inventory changes weekly so what you saw last week might not be there the following week. This goes for most of the items they carry. They carry New Balance athletic/ athleisure wear which is awesome because who wants to pay full price? Yeah, not me. The staff is nice and the store is kept fairly clean. I only go here during the week on my lunch break to kill time if I decided to eat my lunch earlier in the day. I live in Chino Hills, so there's really no other reason why I shop at this location. The store is kept neat and clean for the most part. You can't always control people who leave stuff lying around, but it's easy to navigate the store and look through all their stuff. For the most part I've been lucky (unlucky because saving money is better lol) finding something I'd want to buy. I've bought some of my work clothes here and a few things for the boyfriend at very reasonable prices. There are some items that seem way too expensive for a discount store like Marshalls so I just end up not buying it, which is good and bad. Bad because I really wanted to buy it, but good because I should be saving my money lol. Customer service isn't too bad. I usually see other associates helping out customers while I'm there. I haven't needed to ask for their help, so no firsthand experience myself. read more

I just got off from the gym and i just randomly found myself driving to this place just because i wanna kill some time and i just wanna look around. I don't really buy much clothes here except for neck ties and stuffs like that. As i was browsing around I've noticed that most sizes are so big so if you wear XL-XXXL you're in luck. If you like Ed-Hardy (which still sells in IE) this is your spot. Sadly/Gladly I'm not into those things and I'm not even sure if I'm going to get something here. As usual I ended up in the active wear and thought about running shorts but sadly I can't find any medium ones small might be too short for me. But! I found some compression shorts and i think its time to get some more!!! I'm lucky there's still 2 M sizes for the Layer 8 compression shorts which usually sells for 20 bucks and its only $8.99 here! What a deal!!! I think i'll keep checking out some more Marshalls for some active clothing cause with those things style is not a big deal for me. read more

Established in 2003, this Marshalls is the only one in the Upland area. Within a 10 mile radius is La Verne, Ontario, and Chino (also reviewed). Marshalls stores (along with its related stores: TJ Maxx & HomeGoods) are all set up/organized the same way, and your experience could be a hit or a miss; though it's usually a hit for me because I often find something I need/want. Upland Marshalls has a decent selection of women's, men's, shoes, active wear, plus sizes, juniors, kids, babies, books/toys, storage, home decor, kitchenware, bath/toiletries, pet supplies, stationery, and electronics. In addition, the customer service has been pretty good. Overall, I would recommend it. read more

Came Christmas shopping on a Saturday night at about 8:30pm, not too busy. Found an Anne Klein wallet for $14.99, however it had an alarm that wouldn't allowed for the inside of the wallet to be seen, so you could only see the outside. I asked the cashier if she could remove the lock and alarm so I could see it. Cashier said she would have to ask. She asked the grouchy female Middle Eastern Supervisor if she could allow me to see it, and she said "no". I asked how come, and how Can a person buy it without seeing it. The Supervisor blew me off and didn't even make eye contact and just ignored my request. The cashier then got attitude. I didn't take the wallet, and asked for gift receipts for each item. The cashier gave me 1 gift receipt for the entire $260.00 plus purchase. When I asked for an individual receipt, she said never told her for each. Gave me more attitude, and finally printed the receipts individually. Why do these type of people work in retail when all they do is be grouchy and give attitude? And the cashier could even do the transaction without being walked through each step. Not the customer's fault that she's not trained and hates her job. read more

If I could give this store a zero I would. I bought a bath Matt here. Before taking it out of the package it had this horrible smell , I put it outside to let it air but the smell would not go away. I noticed on the package it said what it was made of could cause cancer. I returned it after a week with the receipt, packaging was never opened. The male manager said no it could not be returned. I showed him the back of the receipt that said if you're unhappy with any product within thirty days it could be returned , he refused. Took it to another Marshall's and they took it back. Called the one eight hundred no. On the receipt and spoke with them. She said it should have been taken back. She said please go back to her store and I told her no thank you. read more

My past few experiences here have been bad but this was the last straw. My mom went in for hangers and approached an associate asking her where they were. The associate immediately started talking to her in Spanish (my mom doesn't speak Spanish) and then asked if she spoke Spanish. My mom politely said no. Then the associate asked why my mom would not speak to her in Spanish and my mom again said no. I was furious. This is a store in California in the United States, where the primary language is English, and for an associate to ask why a customer won't speak to them in a forgiven language is mind boggling to me.
