    On 9/7/2023 at approximately 1:05pm I entered Marshalls, Milford location. My hopes were to purchase a NFL jersey. Before I arrived at the store I called to inquire if the store had any in stock. I spoke with representative Najea who stated there were a few. When I entered I approached two representatives by the name of Natalee and Amanda. They were having a personal conversation and did not pay attention to me saying excuse me three times. After being ignored I became frustrated and found another representative to assist. She stated there were no jerseys and called out to Amanda for assistance. Amanda and Natalee were at this point speaking with the representative and then began to inform me that no NFL jerseys are sold at the location. They asked multiple times if I called the right store. I informed them that I contacted the store prior arriving. To confirm, I called the store in their presence and the same representative Najae answered. I asked her to meet by the men's section to guide me to where the jerseys may be. She stated she was at the register but would once she was done. Natalee gestured with her hands from where she stood and told me to "just go look in that section." I explained to her that I did and would like assistance. She did not move but left me to go back to the representative I initially made contact with. As I turned to walk away I could hear Natalee telling Amanda that I had an attitude and I need to watch who I'm talking to. I turned back and asked Natalee why she felt the need to be disrespectful towards me while I was only asking for assistance. I explained to her that while she was having a personal conversation, I tried to get her attention. She said "So what, maybe I didn't hear you." Natalee began to yell at me and be very argumentative. While her peers tried to calm her she continued to yell over them telling saying I needed to show respect. The disruption was enough that another customer came over concerned. Never did a manager come to see what the issue was. I walked away in search of one. I spoke with a worker by the name of Krissy. I asked if I could make a complaint with a manager or if there was a number to call. She pointed to a sign on the wall with a customer service number. I asked if she was a manager. She stated no and informed me that the manager was a worker by the name of Susie who was out back taking boxes off a truck. Moments later while speaking to an employee at the register Najea who was very helpful, took me to the section that displayed a few jerseys and to my satisfaction there were indeed 3 NFL jerseys on the rack. I thanked Najae for her assistance. Before leaving I decided to ask again for the correct number to call to file a complaint. I was also informed that I could speak to the manager of the store Krissy. Krissy was called to the front for customer assistance. I began to question the representative. I asked if Krissy was a manager and she informed me that she was indeed a manager. I told the representative that I asked Krissy myself if she was a manager and she told me she was not. At that point I was disgusted. Why would she lie? When I am a patron at an establishment I want to be respected. I do not go to stores to be disrespected. This is a business and I'm sure it relies on customers purchases. I am writing this grievance in hopes that there will be disciplinary actions towards the representative Natalee for her behavior and Krissy; in hopes the next patron will not experience social violence and unprofessional behavior the way I did. If Krissy is indeed a manager why would she lie? Maybe she could attend managerial training on handling conflict. I have visited this location before and loved the experience and I would like to continue to do business. This time there were women just in small groups chatting. I do not expect them to be quiet but when seeing a struggling customer, assist.

    So COVID focused the customer service is horrendous. Probably just as well they are going out of business.

    Small selection and bad organization. I still stop in on rare occasion but rarely a sale. I now go to Burlington in Orange, CT.

My best friend is getting married next year, and as her maid of honor, I scheduled an appointment for her to try on dresses while she was in town, visiting from across the country. She'd tried on dresses once before and found one she loved, but wanted the experience with her friends, and the opportunity to find a dress she possibly loved even more. Upon arrival to Lucille's, we were not immediately greeted. We went up to the counter where we were told it would be a few minutes, as the preceding appointment was finishing up. This was fine -- but we found it odd that there was nowhere to sit. No water offered. No congratulations to the bride. Just a "feel free to take a look around." 10-15 minutes later, the preceding appointment was finished. A bridesmaid was coming to our appointment as well (so bride + 2 guests) and she was about to arrive. The bride wanted to greet her outside, and after our appointment was pushed back almost 20 minutes on their end already, we were told we "needed to get started." It was a weird vibe. But that's not even what stayed with me most. The discussions between the apparent owner/manager and her sales associate were uncomfortable to witness. The owner, who had been hacking up a lung in the back room, seemed to talk down to her sales associate. It was very awkward. The 2 women tried to feel out if the bride was looking to buy something -- we had put down our deposit for the appointment, and assumed we'd be treated with the same respect as any other client. Of course if the bride had found something she loved, she'd have considered purchasing. But once they heard she had tried on a dress elsewhere that she really liked, they seemed convinced she wasn't "serious" about purchasing and I do believe this tainted our entire experience. I was told I was not allowed in the dressing room. Ok fine - element of surprise when the bride comes out.... Well when she did come out in a dress, as part of her support system, I said, "You're a vision in white!" To which the sales associate responded, "We don't have any white dresses; that's ivory." ...I was dumbfounded. I was attempting to hype up my best friend and I was shot down over a technicality that truly did not matter. It was bizarre. The owner came over and insisted that she knew that the sales associate knew what she was doing, yet she interjected herself into the appointment to insist the bride try on a dress that wasn't at all what she was looking for. She claimed, "This one just came in and I need a model for it." ...what? Bride tried it on to appease the owner, and of course did not like it. Also bizarre -- looking through the dresses, I found one I thought the bride might like, and I was shut down by the owner who said, "Oh she won't like that one. Put that back." ...!!! I think I know MY best friend's style and preferences better than anyone, and let me be clear: I was not at all attempting to take over the appointment. I was gently suggesting a dress and was completely dismissed. After the bride changed back into her clothes, we were forgotten and overlooked. The next appointment had arrived and they were done with us, even though they started with us late. No "thank you," or send off, or acknowledgment. The whole experience was off. Even if she HAD found the dress, she was confident she did not want to be a customer here. This is not how a bridal shopping appointment should go, no matter one's budget.

That one decision changed my wedding experience into a dream. Not only were there so many gorgeous dresses to choose, I also found the wedding dress I dreamt about all my life!! The staff was so supportive and loving and made this experience the best it could ever be. My daughter felt included and they went above and beyond to find a suit for my son last minute. Staff took the time to ensure my dress was perfect in every way from fitting to accessories. I have been to several bridal shops before but nothing can compare to the experience I had here. They made me feel like a bridal queen from day one! You guys made my 03/23/23 wedding memorable. Thank you.

    I called this place to recondition my fur coat after being stored for several years and gave what I…read morethought was a deadline they wouldn't have been able to meet. The lady who picked up the phone made sure to verify and provided a cost for the service as well which was lower than other places for same service. When we dropped of the jacket, the staff person throughly went over the jacket and provided recommended some additional services to fully restore and modernize it but was not pushy. They had indicated that the jacket would be back in a little than a week and were actually able to return it to me sooner. They also have an extremely secure facility with a secure access, which allows them to safely store items for customers. When possible, I wouldn't hesitate to return to complete those suggestions or store my jacket there.

    Okay so this is nothing to do with the staff because I've had a pleasant experience the three times…read moreI've visited. However it does have to do with the fact that there's always something going on. Basically I had to put back items because they weren't taking cards just cash. Honestly who carries cash nowadays. The employee was very sympathetic but its an inconvenience for me as a customer who needed scrubs for work the next day. Corporate should be handling this and or at least offer discounts. Then the other time I went there stood outside waiting for the store to open because they claim to be closed but the door was broken. Mind you the door is still broken. Another annoying thing about this store they'll have plenty of tops but can't find the bottoms to match or vice versa. Again the staff have always been helpful but the store needs to step it up. Huge waste of time traveling to two work and gears only to hear that all the credit card machines are down.

I replied no, and she stated I would have to wait while she made a new tag. My instinct would be to take care of the customer waiting first. The exchange was un welcomed by her as it seemed she had to work. The gentleman was still very nice. It seemed to me they could just send it back to the company as defective, but they stated they would put it back on the floor. I probably will go to Scrub warehouse for future purchases.
