Upon checkout even though I gave my own name & number the girl somehow checked me out under the clothes my sister sold which was only $8 for in store credit so I still had to pay upfront for the clothes I wanted to buy at Plato's and my sister's name was on the receipt. I admit I should have looked where I was signing and that it wasn't my name. And then my sister got my $35 cash for the clothes I brought it. This mixup could have easily been avoided by asking for our ID's again when checking out.

Not a problem. However when I checked on the situation of whether the items were ready for pickup (off racks) I was told they were no longer in the store and had been sold. They would not pay me my share of the sale because it was past the pickup date. Remember I was told by a store employer that they were removing them from racks and holding for me to pick up when I came back. Terrible customer service and business practice. Don't fall into their traps and their unethical business practices. Dont trust what any store employee tells you.

I also strongly recommend buying your Tilley hat from a reputable hat company like Holland Hats. The first hat I ordered from another site had no tags and was folded like it was stuck in a car glove compartment for 2 years. Bruce told me Holland Hats will never send a hat without original Tilley tags. The packaging was in a box and wrapped so it arrived without creases and wrinkles. I was never offered a return label or a credit for the cost to return it. When I brought this to Mr. Holland's attention his response was interesting: He said I should have spoken up sooner, he could have saved a lot on shipping because he as a better shipping rate. In other words - this was quite a bit my own fault. He did offer that if I buy another expensive hat he would take the $45 off, but that is not going to happen. He is not a person I want to deal with again. I really don't need a lecture for ordering a hat, getting the wrong size on purpose, returning it as asked, and then telling me it's mostly my fault that I have a bad feeling whenever I see an email from this business. Needless to say, I unsubscribed.
