Normally love this place until one of the employees accuses me of cutting the line and insists on showing me how the line works.

My plan was to go to the Danbury location but I was at IKEA and realized I was very close to this…read morelocation. I called and asked if they were buying and they said yes and they did not have a wait. Upon arrival with our bin we were told this location is just for teen clothing. This didn't make sense to me and my husband but it felt very discriminatory against us because we are both over 40. We felt as if the buyer took a look at us and thought we were older adults and we were going to have clothing for older people. She asked us to fill out our info on the waitlist and within a minute she was done going through an entire bin. I was told they would give me $3.50 for one purse and that was it. I have been to the Plato's closed in Danbury many times and they always buy a lot from me. I actually work as a stylist in film and television and have a lot of clothing from work that I get gifted. It was very sad to see this location behaving this way. I spent about a minute looking at what was in the store and was not impressed at all. The clothing was garbage and tasteless. It's unfortunate that the staff doesn't have a clue and is judging clothing by the customer. I was also surprised to see a person working there being this judgmental who was extremely obese. I'm not sure if it's retaliation for discrimination she had dealt with personally or what. I think the store and staff need a lot of help.

It seems that they have much more merchandise for the plus sizes than the regular size people. For the smaller sizes, there is often only one item available and it's usually not my size. The plus size department is so attractively displayed, that I often find myself in the wrong department. I certainly hope they will add to the petite section a wider range of items in a variety of sizes sooner than later. The housewares department has a great offering of bedding. The prices on their pillows and comforters are reasonable and the variety is good!

First of all, don't yell. Second of all, you don't know how someone identifies. I am a woman and look like a woman. However, no need to accost someone. Again, this was not labelled anywhere. In addition, as someone with some mobility issues, the further dressing room is unnecessary. The doors go to the floor nearly. We can all conduct ourselves as adults. Kohl's, change your policy and have non-gendered dressing rooms and please educate your employees. I won't spend money in your stores again until you fix this. Also you sell Pride items. And still do this. No. A trans kid comes in and you could embarrass her/him? No. Do better.

Unfortunately, the correct size was on back order however Bruce put a rush order and everything worked out fine. I also strongly recommend buying your Tilley hat from a reputable hat company like Holland Hats. The first hat I ordered from another site had no tags and was folded like it was stuck in a car glove compartment for 2 years. Bruce told me Holland Hats will never send a hat without original Tilley tags. The packaging was in a box and wrapped so it arrived without creases and wrinkles. Tilley hats aren't cheap and Holland Hats prices are tough to beat. You can also be sure you are buying a new hat purchased directly from Tilley

I was never offered a return label or a credit for the cost to return it. When I brought this to Mr. Holland's attention his response was interesting: He said I should have spoken up sooner, he could have saved a lot on shipping because he as a better shipping rate. In other words - this was quite a bit my own fault. He did offer that if I buy another expensive hat he would take the $45 off, but that is not going to happen. He is not a person I want to deal with again. I really don't need a lecture for ordering a hat, getting the wrong size on purpose, returning it as asked, and then telling me it's mostly my fault that I have a bad feeling whenever I see an email from this business. Needless to say, I unsubscribed.
