I had never even seen this Marshall's and have been next door to Loehmann's and to the Rack countless times. Call me blinded by couture... We stopped in last weekend and its a large well kept store. They have a nice selection of everything, me still blinded, didn't find anything, but if you're looking to spend less or just need someaccessories for the home or kids stuff this is a good stop. read more

I'm sure other reviewers will echo my statement this is one of the best Marshall's in their chain. The prices are always far below retail and the selectors extensive...even for men. I usually find suits or sport coats for over half off the brand name stores. The shoe selection is ok, although I scored a $175 pair of Ugg boots ( the cool kind) for just $50. South Coast Metro Pointe is one of my favorite shopping stops. read more

Much cleaner than most stores I've been to. I usually try to look for everyday practical stuff, but didn't find anything I wanted to take home. When I visited the clearance section for kitchen utensils, they were dumped into baskets so you have to dig thru them. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to work to find something. So I didn't even bother to look through the baskets. At least have them organized in some fashion. Otherwise, the store is pretty big. Good variety of brands and merchandise. Didn't find anything I needed: or that found things I needed, but felt that the price was still a bit expensive. I always enjoy walking through stores like Marshall's because sometimes I'll find that item I've been looking for with a good price without looking for it! I understand perfectly that we are in a very difficult situation, but they abuse the situation, the store closes at 7, arrives at 6:00 and a girl did not let me in because they closed at 7? an hour apart ... then a person came out according to the person in charge and said make the line and only until 6:30 can they enter ... they called a police officer to stay? They left until 6:15 am I counted 25 people and still they did not allow them to enter ... now how do you expect the economy to revive? by people like these these companies will not recover as quickly to this unfortunate situation read more

Marshall's is a step above TJ Maxx and Ross and you'll still find the same great deals from designer brands at a deeply discounted rate. It won't be in season or anything but you can still make it work somehow especially if you just need something nice to wear, some shoes, and other accessories. I also like that this store is clean and organized. I can find what I need without having to browse the whole store. I love shopping but I hate chaos shopping. I like to find what I need where it should be. I spent an evening here after work just browsing but ended up buying an item that I really liked. Overall I'm pleased with the experience, there wasn't a line and the checkout process was easy breezy and I'm very happy with my little item. read more

This location can get very crowded. If I'm going to go here, I try to make sure I'm here in the morning before too many people venture out. It saves me a whole lot of time & frustration. Also, as with other Marshall's, it can be hit or miss here. Sometimes you'll find just what you're looking for and other times you'll completely strike out. But hey, that's part of the fun, right? One of the better Marshalls in SoCal. Wonderful selection of handbags and the clothing and shoe choices seem to be fresher than other locations. I suppose it's because of the South Coast Plaza real estate. I bought a Baggallini crossbody bag for $29.00 when it's sold for about $90.00 online. The Container Store nearby sells Baggallini, but the prices and types were better at Marshalls! read more

I arrived at 6:30 pm, ( hours clearly marked closing time 7:00 pm ) met by an employee blocking the door saying "were" closed? WHAT? Does the sign clearly say 7:00 pm no response? I told her I had items to return and this was the last day? She mumbled something like it's too crowded? Noticed that at least 15 people exiting? I was not getting anywhere with her nonsensical responses, asked for Manager. After 10 minutes passed and more customers arrived to get in the store they were met with "were closed! They tried to engage her and she again either didn't respond or ignored them. I finally spoke with the supposed manager ( as she said she was) and her reason why they closed was that they would be "breaking" the law if they let anyone else in? What law? She said it was none of my business and she didn't have to tell me which one? I hate when individuals act like I am stupid and should accept everything they say ( apparently they are not very good at lying and making up good excuses) how unprofessional I asked for her name and employee number she gave me a post-it note with her 1st name and the stores number? Good variety of clothing and large selection. Great bargains can be had here. Got a nice New Era cap the last time I visited for about $6, and this time got some nice brown sandals for $18 this time. OK, so I'm not a heavy shopper, but my parents made off with over $500 worth of loot. Clothes, handbags, pots, etc. It must have been a good shopping experience for them because I was hanging out in Best Buy across the street for over an hour. read more

Confessions of a shopaholic part III.... OK so after shopping @ Nordstrom Rack and DSW at South Coast plaza I was almost ready to call it a day when all of sudden we see Marshalls and decide to make a quick stop here. Now being a the shopaholic that I am I wasn't go to say no hehe.. I found two cute sweaters perfect for a cold day and they were on sale. I also saw some awesome deals on some Dooney and Bourke bags (although I noticed the cheaper prices were for the bags in weird colors like orange - the same bags with the common colors like blue/black/brown were priced higher :(. Since this was the last stop of my shopping trip I didn't get to really go around a lot like I did at Nordstrom Rack and DSW. This place did however look like it had a pretty big selection of stuff and didn't mind stopping here at all :)....but hey any place where to shop I am willing to go...after all I am a shopaholic...:) read more

A pretty good Marshalls! This one is located near South Coast Plaza, and there is a lot of good selection in products. I found some very good deals on hair care products and clothing. I will likely be back soon. Also, parking wasn't very difficult to find and the cashier line wasn't as long as I thought it would be either. read more

I admit, i'm a terrible shopper. I never know what to buy let alone spending a ton of money on clothes. This is one of the places I'll check out if i need something new or decide to let go of some of my 10yr old+ threads, without spending a ton. This location is one of the better stores to browse with some good selection and decently organized. I try and go when it's not peak times. It does get a little crazy with the crowd and long lines. You would to if the prices were this good. The surrounding area is perfect for shopping since there are a bunch of other stores as well. read more

This Marshall's has a good mix of clothing and other items such as linens, household knick knacks, however, they have very little furniture items. Service is incredibly slow at checkout even though there were hardly any people in line. Convenient parking. read more

I wanted to buy a toy ball that didn't have a sticker on it. The cashier said it needed a price check and that she needed to wait for someone. I waited 10 minutes. I never saw her talk to anyone about choosing the new price, but eventually she printed out a sticker that priced the ball at $10, which seemed more expensive than retail value, especially compared to the other toys I bought. read more

It may just be this Marshall's, but selections are that great. I love Marshall's, don't get me wrong, it's just that whenever they have cute shoes, they're never in my size! This is not my favorite location of Marshall's, but I still love Marshall's nonetheless. I purchase these mint, cut-out oxfords and a sheer navy blue, polka-dotted, sleeveless blouse. I purchased a 28" travel suitcase on February 6th of 2019. Soon after my buying it, during my first trip, the telescopic handle got stuck, making it extremely difficult to manure. After my trip, on 3/25/2019 around 11:20 am,I took it back to the store (where I originally purchased) at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA. Although I presented my original receipt, the manager on duty, Erica (or spelled Erika), refused to take it back stating it must be accompanied by the original label. In addition, she lied to me about how they advise their customers about keeping the labels for returning purposes. Although I told her no such advise was stated when purchasing it, she was just unfriendly and not willing to help me in anyway. Little did she know, I could afford to buy a hundred of them and pay cash. The lousy suitcase was only $59, and I will throw it in the trash as soon as I finish writing this complaint. The point is, when a manager lies about fake statements they supposedly should be telling customers but are not in order to save money, then the business is a sham. I will not stop here. The amount maybe just a mere $59, but preventing it from being done to others would be really worth the trouble. Buyer be very aware of the shopping at MARSHALLS! read more

The Nepolionicette manager is a CUNITCH. DO NOT EVER expect a refund on a return with this loser working.her short stature just goes along with her short intelligence and wants nothing more than to ruin someone's day. I purchased an item earlier today. Turns out It was not a gift my daughter wanted for Christmas. Instead of refunding me for my purchase that I made today, she proceeds to call the store from which I bought it to ask if I indeed made that purchase. The other store confirmed I did. Then she tells me my receipt is not acceptable with it being emailed to me by their company and would not accept my return because of it. So even with the receipt, within their return guidelines, on the same damn day, she will not follow proper procedure and issue me my refund. Is she that damn stupid to not follow their return policy? Then the CUNITCH calls security on me because I get upset at her for being a moron. Well let me tell you something if you're reading this, as a consumer I have rights. You violated my rights so you will be held accountable for your deliberate attempt to embarrass me but calling security for your own mistake.then for refusing to follow your own return policy it states I should contact my district attorney and file a complaint against you and your store. It also states you can be liable for up to 3x the amount in question. Just because you're an idiot, here's the math worked out for you. $400x3=$1200. I'm OK making that from your stupidity. I hope the allow you to keep your job. Seriously, bc it would suck not being able to support your family during the holidays and not being able to feed your kids. Well, my kinship with what my mother refers to as "The Homeland" is pretty distant, but there is one parallel that I cannot deny: Imelda Marcos. Me and my striking congruity to Imelda, minus the amassing illegal wealth (damn). There's just something about a nice pair of shoes that gets me. Be it flip flops, or heels... strappy or studded. I just can't help myself. Especially when they fit well and are at discounted prices! The Imelda comes out in me and I have to grab every sexy pair that I see. So that's what I usually do- and what happened last weekend at this Marshalls when my intentions were to find ONE new pair of work shoes. Searching for the basic black pump, I also found a nude suede stiletto, grey suede pump and fun patterned wedge with buckle. I wanted 3 more pairs, but my credit card couldn't handle it. Seven pairs of new shoes in one day is a bit excessive for anyone that's not an heiress or Phillipine politician, yes? But four- four I can totally rationalize. Well, for the 4 pairs, I scored with a bill that was just under $150. They were all Nine West or comparable brands. No, they aren't Manolo, but I don't work a runway, either. I work at a bank, and shop at Marshalls regularly. Baller... This was my first visit to this particular Marshalls and it is the BEST women's shoe selection I have seen yet. Today was my first time in a Marshall's store. I went to Sprouts which is next to Marshall's' and then decided to walk in here. I am glad I did, because it was surprisingly clean, organized, and everything was well priced. I have been to Ross many many years ago and had a very bad experience which made me avoid going to any discount stores. But, I guess I was wrong. This Marshall's is way different than that crappy Ross store I've been to. I didn't buy anything because I didn't really want anything, but I'll definitely go back and get some decorative stuff. It's always well stocked and organized and they seem to have a better selection of items here than at their other stores. Today, I was impress with the large selection of the boots they had in their Mega Shoe Shop and their kitchen seconds where I found many red and blue Le Creuset items on sale. I found a crinkle cut chopper - yeah! I also found a number of name brand cookbooks by Betty Crocker, Giada De Laurentis, and the Barefoot Contessa herself - Ina Garten and sauces by Paula Deen. read more

One of the worst experiences I had at Marshall's.... I am a store manager myself and managed large retailers such as Walmart, lenscrafters, etc. and the experience that Sandie, who I assume is the front end supervisor, was super rude... First and foremost I bought a lot of stuff about a month ago and I had a couple things to return. Do to work I was out of the area for a month or so and didn't have the chance to return some stuff. As I explained the circumstances to Sandie she completely ignored them and said that we will put it on the gift card. Keep in mind it's only been 2 days over and the product was untouched with original tags on them. Anyways, I asked her if she can do me a favor and she said "no" (rude tone). I said ok.... and explained to her I'm a manager myself and you can do something about it as its not been to long past the month... her reply again "no". So, I ask for her name and corporates number and she gave me her DM's number. I left the DM a voice mail so lets see if she will call back. But anyways I went back to Sandie and told her I didn't want the DM's number I wanted corporates number.... with attitude she SNATCHED THE PAPER out of my had.... I'm like excuse me? Please don't snatch stuff out of my hand... not a way to handle and upset customer. I will be talking to the store manager and hope that he/she would take some action regarding this and look at the video... No customer should be treated such way and if your supervisors are like that I feel bad for your store. Sandie should have never been put in a supervisor position if she is going to be so rude and not want to take care of customer problems. read more

[Let me start off by saying I went to another Marshall's after this incident to return my item, and did not have one issue.] So I go in to return a cardigan with my receipt but no tag. I got it two weeks ago so it shouldn't be much of a problem, at least I have proof of purchase. The clerk punches in the item code from the receipt and prints out a tag for $34.99, which is the exact price I paid for the item. Cool...yeah right. Before proceeding she goes and follows up with someone else, presuming to be the supervisor. The supervisor tells the clerk something, and the clerk tells me this is not the correct receipt for the item. She says they can return it for $24.00 because the other "similar" cardigans are marked at a $24 price. Oh, that's a great strategy. Look for a completely different brand cardigan, MUST be the correct price. She proceeds to show me the "comparable" cardigan. It was not at all identical, or even close. I explained, "How can you compare a completely different brand, and style of cardigan to the one I have and say because the comparable one is $24 that the receipt price I have for my cardigan is wrong?" Obviously with no intellectual and rational response, I walked out and will never shop at this crap hole again. read more

Just left this store extremely unhappy and will not be coming back. I am a die-hard TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Home Goods fan. I shop there all of the time, at multiple locations, and spend thousands of dollars here each year. Looking to score some good Christmas novelty gifts back in December, I went to this location. I was stoked to find a really cute craft beer taster set for $12.99. The boxes were in excellent condition, sealed shut very well in the orignal packging. Score! Or so I thought. I loaded up on the sets and bought 5 for Christmas gifts (among MANY MANY MANY MANY other gifts). 3/5 tasters went off without any incident. But 2 of the sets were filled with broken glass. (Which, by the way, is pretty embarrassing and ghetto to get the calls from your friends that you gave them a broken gift, and by chance could I take it back). Call me crazy, but when you purchase a sealed, packaged item, the shouldn't be BROKEN. I called the store last week and spoke to the manager, Mary, explaining my troubles. She was very kind and apologetic. I explained as one of the tasters was sent up north, I did not have one of the broken sets here in southern California with me. She said this would in no way be a problem. She even went out of her way to tell me that if I had to come the next day, she would make sure the manager on duty the next day, Sarai, knew my situation. I suppose shame on me for not going back to make the return that very day, but things got busy. I went on my lunch break to get my money back for the broken sets. I explained the full situation to the assistant manager in store today. She begrudingly refunded me for the broken set I had in person, but would not give me my money back for the set I had shipped up north. She literally asked me why I didn't open the boxes and check to make sure they weren't broken before I gave them as a gift.... ??? Who OPENS a SEALED box they are giving as a present??? Wouldn't that just look exactly like a regift? I didn't have my receipt because I bought these gifts in EARLY December and had zero intention of returning them. They were gifts. I DID offer my credit card, suggesting she research my purchase history with my card number and refund me that way. The manager informed me that "unfortunately her systems couldn't do that." So now it's my fault you have a dated software system on your registers and you still can't refund my money? She then suggested I needed to bring the other broken product back into this store. You mean the one that I bought, wrapped, brought up north only to have the recipient find it shattered and broken? I think not. I asked her to please check with her store manager, which supposedly she did (she did disappear for 5 mintues). At the time she returned, she said unfortunately her manager couldn't help me either. I'm sorry, but I've worked in customer service for 18 years. You do NOT treat a customer like that. Even if it's acceptable in your store policy to sell broken merchandise, and even if your registers don't have the VERY BASIC ability to look up a purchase history of a card, if another manager had already apologized and done what was RIGHT for the customer (thank you Mary for trying), you do NOT retract what she had already offered. So now I am out the 12.99 for one of the taste sets. It's not the money- I'm not worried about a few dollars. It's the principal. You just lost a customer who frequents your store ALL the time- over a little more than 10 dollars. Shame on you, Marshalls. What a joke of customer service. read more

I am an advit Marshall's shopper who decided to drive from LBC to this Costa Mesa location just to see if it truly could be better than my Bixby Knolls location in LB. I can say that the merchandise selection is amazing and just about the same as the Bixby store except this store is much much larger for more merchandise. However, I rate this store a 2 because once I got to the check out this is where the service went down hill. I have worked in the retail service industry for over 14 years and I have always ensured my customers/clients could never be offended. Well I was offended as all the employee's behind the cash wrap spoke in spanish amongst one another as they serviced customers and I waited for a price check on an item. It is very apparent that I am not a spanish speaking customer and I TRULY feel that if you as the employee are NOT assisting a spanish speaking customer/client than you should be speaking in english for all conversations. I hire many bi-lingual speaking employee's all the time and I always explain to them that they are to use their bilingual skill set for assisting customers/clients that speak the language. If they are speaking amongst team members it should be in english. My mother and grandparents are from Honduras but I am not fluent in spanish so I prefer everyone to speak english around me when assisting me. This experience at the check out TARNISHED my whole experience at this location. To speak spanish amongst one another, laughing and passing each other candy while working is unacceptable and unprofessional. If an emergency broke out, the employee's would automatically revert to spanish amongst themselves, leaving the english speaking customers trying to figure out their direction until they realize they were speaking spanish. I will be back to Costa Mesa but for their Loehmanns and Nordstrom Rack!!! read more

Good women's shoe section, great selection of kitchen items, good selection of dog treats and dog shampoo. That's the good. The bad is the clothing selection in general, I never find any clothes here I like for a good price. If I do see something I like it's not in my size. I think this store gets a lot of foot traffic so the good things go fast, plus the stock here is always changing. You might come in here one day and strike gold and leave empty handed the next time you come in...(now let's be real shall we...I've NEVER left this store "empty handed"). This Marshall's is by far my most favorite Marshall's in the WORLD! I can honestly say that this place gets higher end items than the majority of the other Marshall's. I go to this particular Marshall's to get lucky.... lucky finds that is... Every time I visit Irvine I always stop by to find something amazing waiting for me in the clearance section. My last visit I scored some pretty swanky Dolce&Gabbana pants that fit like it was meant for me to put on, practically second skin worthy! Retail price $899...marshall's clearance $140. Still expensive but I feel it was worth it. This place is definitely hit or miss. I gotta admit mostly miss but if these were hunter/gatherer times this is definitely my hunting grounds. This place is not for the OCD type, but if you like the chase...stop by...test your patience, skill, and luck. :-) read more

Super crowded on the day we came but one of the best for discount shopping. My wife absolutely loves this place and finds great deals each time. For these bargain discount stores I'd rate Marshall's in the middle of the pack. With TJ Maxx and Ross below it and Nordstrom Rack and Saks off 5th above. You do have to rummage through a decent amount to find that special item your are searching for but when you do it's at a very decent discount. Sure there is lots of old styles and crap you have to weed through but we find it's great for your basics and kids shoes. The South Coast location was a bit more organized that other locations we've visited and had a bit more higher end name brands but overall it was a typical Marshall's. read more

How does this place have 4 stars? I suppose if you're really into an overly crowded store with LONG lines that is very hot inside (probably b/c of how crowded it is) and full of messy shelves and displays....then you've come to the right place! Maybe we came on a bad day, but I would never stand in that line surrounded by the rude (primarily Asian) customers who push their way around. I love Marshall's in general but this location is a nightmare!! My 9 month pregnant best friend had a run in with one woman b/c she wanted to get down the same aisle. Well the aisles are tight and sorry Charlie...9 month pregnant woman wins....if she's not ready to move, she's not moving! Walk your lazy a$$ around her...she can't help that she takes up room right now! Besides, when you're bigger than she is when she's 9 months pregnant...the walk around would do you some good!! Any-hoo, I was not pleased by anything this location had to offer. I'll stick to the Marshall's by my house....this one is OVER RATED! P.S. Parking is a nightmare. Good luck finding a spot!! I love Marshall's in general, but this store seems a bit picked over. I'm sure it has to do with it's location, but I couldn't find any clothing that wowed me. On a positive note, the woman's shoe section is pretty robust and they have a good selection of boots at the moment. I've always loved coming to this Marshall's for the amazing deals ! However, my experience was very poor as I was checking out my items. The lady working register 6 on 7/13 was extremely rude and distracted. She did not once make an attempt to talk to us or even offer the TJx card. I tried looking for her name but her name tag was empty. She was Hispanic and wore all black that day. In addition, my mom was purchasing her items separately when she pointed out that the price on the item was incorrect as the red tag was misplaced. I totally understand that incorrect pricing can occur but taking an accusing tone was completely unacceptable. MARSHALLS, please fix this. read more

Um...what's wrong with you. When I look for shoes, I expect to find both in the pair, no just one and the other is missing. And if the other is the display, it should be DISPLAYED!!! Not hidden somewhere. I spent 1 hour trying to find the buddy of the displayed shoe and couldn't find it!!! Also, what is wrong with the dresses? Where are they? They isn't even a section for them. I walk in here and immediately feel the need to march my ass right back out. It's like the clothing fairy came in and threw up stuff all over the place after eating a bad dinner. Clothes EVERYWHERE. And normally I'd be all fuzzy inside at the sight but this store is just too all over the place for my tastes. If you need something simple like some swim trunks or towels...this place might work. Parking's easy and whatnot. But if you actually WANT a new outfit...skip it unless you have the whole day to run around searching for that perfect ensemble. read more

I hate discount stores in general but this one I can tolerate without my OCD kicking into high gear. Today my register lady was scanning my items and just simply left for 15 mins without saying anything. Apparently the price tag was wrong. The register lady made this seem as if it was my fault. She made me wait 15 mins for a dollar difference in the price and she didn't apologize either. I talked to the manager and she didn't apologize for the wait or anything.
