I came here since I was in the area and it was really messy and they didn't have a lot of stuff.

Curious about the process, I asked a million questions to make sure that I understood all the loopholes associated with consigning. Heather and Gideon were great and patient with answering my questions and successfully convinced me to commit to selling my bag. I was visibly anxious but decided to go for it, having been told that I am able to pay a pulling fee of 10% the asking price of my bag, if for some reason I decide I wanted to keep it. Immediately when I got home, I regretted my decision and reached out to Gideon about paying the fee to get my bag back. He called me and tried to convince me to let them sell it, and bantered about how he had already added it to a list to sell at an event over the weekend and that I would have to pay more to make up for the costs were incurred for the update to the list. I looked over my BS of a "contract" which stipulated that I would be responsible for 10% (as he had also verbally stated.) When I called him again, he told me I would have to pay 10% + 15% to make up for THEIR agreement that they made with the vendor 30 mins after I left (aka this agreement probably doesn't exist.) . While I had been timid this entire process (total of 3 hours), I stood my ground and demanded that we stick to the original contract. All in all, what started out as friendly, informative service turned into a sketchy/unprofessional/unethical business. I may at first had cold feet about parting with my bag, but as soon as I felt jipped by some scheme to make easy profit off my bag... Nah fammmm - I'm keeping my baby. But a contract is a contract, so I held up my end of the bargain. They gave me a 1 hour window to get my bag immediately, to honor the 10% that was on my original contract... Absolutely ridiculous experience. I suggest coming here if you are desperate to be cheated out of your money. *** Let me make it clear, I upheld their policy and hence paid them the $120 promised by the contract I signed. This review is simply a comment to the sketchiness of TSDC's business in trying to alter that contract last-minute to make more money off of me. It is not my responsibility if the business is "disappointed" in not being given the opportunity to sell MY bag. My problem is that TSDC made it very difficult for me to take my bag back by making up excuses as to why I can't take it back, and adding an extra charges. Please respect your OWN policy and contract by simply returning other people's items when they ask for it, for the cost that was initially agreed upon. ***

This review is for SNIPES and let me be real with y'all... this is a mixed bag, but it needs to be…read moresaid. Now, I'm big on customer service. Like BIG. Because to me, customer service is the experience. You can have the flyest store, the best sneakers, all of that -- but if the service is off, it will ruin everything. And being from El Barrio, I stay in my neighborhood. I shop here, I eat here, I spend my money here. So when I walk into a place, I expect a certain level of respect and service. My mom, my son, and I used to frequent this Snipes all the time, especially because it's right next to my nail salon. But I'm not gonna lie -- we've had some really bad experiences in there. Like attitude for no reason, rude interactions, people acting like helping you is a problem. And I don't play that. I've worked retail. I know what the job is. You leave whatever you're dealing with at the door and you show up for the customer. Period. There was one experience that really did it for me -- rude cashier, rude associate getting the sneakers, just bad energy all around. It got to the point where I told my mom, "I'm not even going back in there." And we didn't for a while. But the reason I'm even writing this review? Sirus. Sirus was a gem. Always. Every time we came in and he was there, it was a completely different experience. He would go the extra mile, help us find what we needed, make suggestions, actually engage. One time I needed my son sized, and another employee literally slid me the sizing tool instead of doing it -- like what? That is your job. Sirus stepped right in and handled it with no problem. That's what customer service looks like. He made the experience feel easy, comfortable, and honestly enjoyable. And that matters. We recently went back in, and you can tell the store has changed a bit -- layout, staff, all that. But unfortunately, the service is still very hit or miss. Nobody greeted us when we walked in. We're clearly looking for help, and employees are just... there. Not engaging, not assisting. There was a young lady folding clothes who saw us and said nothing. Another associate gave attitude when we asked for help. At one point, I just asked for Sirus -- that's how much of an impact he made. And that's when I found out he's no longer there. And honestly? That explains a lot. Now I will say, once I matched energy -- because yes, I will return the energy you give me -- things shifted a little. And of course, once it was time to make a purchase, attitudes started changing. Funny how that works. Look, I still go because I like what they carry. The sneakers, the clothing -- they have good stuff. But the customer service? It needs work. Badly. Because people will always remember how you made them feel, and a bad experience will stick way longer than a good one. Sirus set the standard. And if you never got to experience him, I'm sorry -- you missed out. I'm hoping one day I walk in and get that same level of service across the board, because I'd love to come back and update this review on a better note. But for now... it is what it is.

There's a lot of sports-oriented clothing. Prices are high-ish, but there are fun designs, and the quality seems good. Didn't interact with any of the staff. No one asked if we were looking for anything, or if we needed help. I thought that my daughter would like a fun pair of lace-up sweatpants, but she didn't. I like them, but don't actually wear sweatpants. So this was a bust, but it was fun to browse. And escape the heat.

It was still clean smelling and unstained, but not at all fashionable [and for those who know me, I'm barely fashionable on a GOOD day, so imagine]. So it turns out she needed '5 more minutes' which of course became an hour of me waiting downstairs, and 20 minutes upstairs waiting for her to 'just grab her purse'. During that hour, I went to look for a shirt. And I came upon the nicest looking 'upscale urban' shop on the block. It's a nice looking place, kind of the expected look for a place selling Ed Hardy / Christian Audigier / 7 Diamonds / etc. You know the 300 dollar shirt brands. There was a nice fellow on his mobile who stopped his conversation to attend to me. He definitely helped though, he was chatting a bit with his friend but asked me for my size, got me a few different shirts in black, set up the mirror for me. He did his thing and was very amicable the whole time. I picked a all black button down with a gray applique and some embroidery for sixty [am I a cheapskate or is that a bit much?]. Paid with my card, as helped by what appeared to be the owner, she was busy but nice too. If you want to spend on 150 dollar jeans and 100 dollar shirts, by all means come here.
