I went in today with my two littles, we love just shopping at target. We were nearby this one so decided to go in and wow this place is GHETTO. The lines are ridiculously long, the staff overworked no service at all. There was one representative in the exchange and refunds department around 3pm, who literally hated her job. Kept saying she should've called out in my opinion should not be working with people. People with no social skills should not be employed to deal with customers. Without customers there ain't no jobs. Maybe stock department will be ideal, since everyone needs a job, but don't ruin it for others that can be grateful for having a job in customer service. read more

The store is convenient to come to as there are not many target stores in the Bronx. It's not a major mall in a prominent area. However, everything is locked up because of how often people steal in this area so it's hard to shop. If you need deodorant, you need to wait for a target employee to come and unlock it for you. Most of the key things that you need are locked up. There is a good selection of items, but it's hard to get when everything is locked up. read more

Nobody ever answers the telephone at the Bronx Terminal Market location. I have tried several extensions. The phone rings about 25 times and then disconnects. This is obviously a management decision to understaff the store so that employees are too busy serving in-person customers to answer telephone inquiries. The money saved on staffing then goes into executive perks and investor dividends. I should not have to travel to the store in person to find out if an item is in stock. Was coming to this Target regularly since I moved to Bronx 2 years ago since it is the biggest Target nearby. In 10/2/2024 around almost 5:30pm I was in checkout and there was a team lead standing around with a clipboard in her hand directing people to go on which line. I was in one line until I heard something that sounded like a dispute or something from the customer that was 2 customers ahead of me and it was taking time. Meanwhile I was in a hurry to go home because I wasn't feeling well so I got out of that line to go find faster line and this Target team lead with the clip board and the long dragon nails began yelling at me with attitude. Hispanic lady, hair pulled back. She was yelling saying I WAS TALKING TO THE LADY IN THE GREEN TO GO TO THE OTHER LINE YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MOVED! Am I not free to move to another line now??? I must stay in the first line I entered??? It's a free country. When I got to the register I immediately asked the cashier and pointed to the lady and asked for her name. The cvs Pharmacy inside target is the worst. Spoke to the pharmacist about my meds and she say they can't be filled until tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and I have to request that my meds get refilled. Then at 6pm they say won't be ready until 10:30 the next day. Filling a script doesn't take that long. It's like F you people who are sick. Ordered items for pick up. Except for the fact we had to wait about 15 minutes for the person handling pick up to even come to the register, it was a relatively painless process. If you are doing returns, be forewarned to stand in the innermost line. The outer line is for pickups only and I saw far too many people having to get out of line only to move behind a long line of people who came after them. I don't usually go to this location but it was the only place that had my items in stock. Stay away during Yankee games and around 3 when area schools let out. They're always out of carts. No matter what day or time you get there you'll be struggling to find one and most likely you'll end up having to stop someone leaving Target to ask them if they still need their cart or just end up waiting by the entrance for 30 until someone leaves an empty cart but you'll have to hustle for it before some else waiting takes it. Meanwhile, there are plenty of carts stacked in the parking lot that employees don't bother bringing in and if you do manage to bring in a cart from outside, the wheels are locked and you most likely won't be able to find someone who has the cart unlocking key. Don't bother coming here, if you do bring your own cart if you're doing heavy shopping!!! I'd just go to the Target on Kingsbridge Rd by the 1 train line. So I ventured out to the Bronx to help my friend pick up her massive furniture order. Saturday afternoon is peak time for shoppers trying to get into Target. Given the current situation, there a line around the block of people trying to get in. Luckily the online pickup was short but we waited 30 minutes to get her items and another 15-30 min for the elevator to transport it to the car. Masks are mandatory. About 25% of people outside were not wearing masks. Close to 50% people were wearing them incorrectly, their noses were not covered. Thankfully no one coughed. 6 feet social distancing was a huge problem, it was close to impossible. Only two elevators were working and there was line to get in. The situation there in phase 1 made a clear indicator that there will be second surge or wave, not comforting. I will continue to shop online. read more

Although not everything is more affordable here than in other similar stores, you can't beat Target for what concerns housekeeping and cleaning products (vinegar, baking soda, laundry detergent, hand soap, dishwashing liquid soap, toilet paper, paper towel, cute tips, etc.). Additionally, I often make big orders of specialized items such as organic almond milk and protein pasta (such as chick peas pasta). Target is the type of store anybody can find something they like that costs a fraction of what they pay elsewhere, so it's a great place to have handy in your neighborhood. I'm only a couple of stops away on the 1 train, so it's very convenient for me. But they also deliver with no extra charge, which is awesome. The one negative comment I have is about their delivery packaging. I kid you not, but 50% of the packages I receive from Target are damaged. Their customer service is outstanding, because they always send a replacement of the products that got damaged. However, I can't be the only customer who's complaining... so why not packaging their stuff better? read more

Their Order Pickup is terrible. There's only one person at the register (who is also servicing the Return line) and the line is so long, people have been here waiting for one hour. Someone said they came yesterday and they waited an hour and a half. How is this fast and efficient for ordering online and picking up in store? The orders are not ready and the cashier has to go to retrieve the item from the shelves themselves for each customer in line. They need more staff, especially around the holidays. read more

The primary reason for the five star review is the manager named Avenir (if I have that correct) . Placed an order for drive up, but did not use the target app . No biggie, right? Just call the store and it should be a piece of cake . Except for the fact that The first time someone just hung the phone up, and the next four times I was transferred to endless ringing . By the time I did get through to guest services, the woman who picked up asked if I had alerted in the app, which I told her I didn't use the app . She then put me on hold for 12 minutes, while I can hear ongoings in the back ground (I try to be patient) . I walk into the store to see the person at guest services dealing with another person . This while I am still in hold, and can hear everything side for a manager, made him aware of the situation, and not only did he apologize and promptly bring the products out to my car, he also gave me a gift card because of the wait and service I endured . Prices don't reflect the environment and it takes forever to find a way out. Couple of comments to liven my description: -As I write this I am standing at the bus stop because I missed the bus because checkout was 35 minutes. -The amount of staff working the men's full price section is baffling specially since walking through women's everything felt like off roading. -There were 10 employees roaming the checkout area BUT none of them was made to open up or assist in bagging. -It looks like at any moment 40% of merchandise is on the floor. Hence the off roading sensation. What in the hell Target?! What in the HELL. Way I see it there should be a 5% distress discount and give that to me not the schools because no one seems to be learning excuse me or thank you in this school district. Definitely not the most intuitively laid out Target I've been to. By that I mean, the most maze-like, hidden-room-esque version of this chain I've come upon. Like items are not always with like. Sections are very oddly paired together. That said, they had a method cleaning product that I haven't seen since the beginning of quarantine, their all-purpose cleaner, so, I'm not too mad. Most things seemed better stocked as compared to other stores I've been to lately, namely another big box store over in NJ. This particular Target is hit or miss. Depending on what day you go, you could have an entirely different experience. If you happen to go there during the day while most people are at work, it is the most pleasant experience ever. But if you go during the weekend, it is a place of absolute mayhem. Typically this Target is overly crowded but when you can catch it when it's not so full it's better to shop in. When it comes to their stock they usually have everything you're looking for and a little extra. The layout of the store is simple to navigate through and there is plenty of room in the aisles. My favorite areas are the homegoods and the grocery section. I can typically find everything I need when I come to this Target in those two areas. I will say if there is a sale on the chicken or fish you better get there early or you may find yourself without any. Today I had a very nice cashier at check out. She saw me eyeing the registers from a distance to see where'd I go and shouted me over to her register. She was super pleasant and even helped me with my oversized item to try and fit into my bag. What I don't love is that the lines are usually ridiculously long. There clearly is not enough lines open during certain times of the day. Their high times seem to be early afternoon and right after work. Standing on line longer than your time shopping at a store is never ideal. What I do love is that its not that long of a walk from either the 149th or 161st train station. It's pretty much in the middle of either one but I prefer walking from the 161st station. Because it's in a shopping center bring your cart or large bags because you willl find yourself checking out the other stores as well. The cafe area is usually pretty busy. Becareful when sitting down to eat because its usually super crowded and depending on the day it can be a little messy. But the fact that there's a Starbucks there makes up for it for me. Where else am I getting a tall caramel frappuccino with extra whip in the area? I love Target as a chain, but this store is always chaos and I have never waited in line for a cashier for as long as I have here. It's messy, never has any available carts, and the lines for the cash registers are unbelievable. I waited in line to check out for over 20 minutes on a busy Saturday because there were only 4 cashiers. The staff try to push you to self-checkout, but I stay in line because the issue is that they don't hire enough people and I don't want to give management an excuse to deny people jobs when the store needs the help. (Plus, the lines for self-checkout aren't much shorter either!) Target is amazing, but this store desperately needs to hire more staff. read more

When I live din the burbs I would make a trip to Target at least once a week, but it was usually 2-3 times because you can get everything and anything there. So, when I moved to Manhattan I was very disappointed to have to go to Brooklyn (to a very crappy Target IMO), and then all the way back to my apartment in the UES. Then I found out that a BRAND NEW Target had opened in the Bronx. Right away, I had to go! Taking the green line up to 149th street is a breeze, and once you get off the subway it's about an 8 minute walk to the store. It is part of a huge shopping complex which houses many other great stores (Marshall's, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc). Upon entering Target I was floored. Clean floors, newly designed carts (rounded edges, what?! what?!), wide aisles, organized merchandise, Starbucks, open cashiers....what else is there to ask for? The prices at Target are way lower than any store in Manhattan and now I refuse to buy anything that I can get at Target anywhere else. One example...I bought a package of Mission Soft Tortilla's @ Food Emporium in the UES for a whopping $6.99. I go to Target...ON SALE for NOT $5, NOT $4, NOT $3....but $1!!! ONE DOLLAR!!! That's a 6000% markup on f*cking tortilla's!!!! Come on!!!! Anyway, this Target has everything and is great!
