No idea when this opened, but I'm pretty sure it was very recent. Was driving down 18th avenue and happened to see this gigantic 99 Cent store (taking up what looked like two store spaces) with big bright lights and had to stop by and check it out. Boy, was I glad I did.
The place is huge for a reason - one of the best selections at a 99 cent store I've ever seen (dare I say, even better than 99 Cents the Limit in Coney Island).
Of course, not everything is 99 cents, but that's a welcome blessing. I had been looking for a metal shoe rack all day but could not find one, and lo and behold, this place sold one for $11. They also have tons of pots and pans, lots of Asian cooking supplies (I believe it's Chinese-owned), stationery, toys, tools, electronics, appliances, and all sorts of random household supplies. It really took a good 20 minutes to walk through every aisle because I kept stopping to look at things and deciding if I REALLY needed them.
They also accept credit cards, so get to spending!
I hope this place stays here for a long time, because it's much more convenient for me than the Coney Island 99 cent store and it's even better! read more
