I started working there in Aug 2023 and all the workers were nice. They had me on the sales floor. They had me doing register and everything and once the holidays hit everything die down it was over. They cut me to one day a week they put me in the back of the store doing processing (without my consent without asking me and changed my job description to processing instead of merchandising ) away from everybody in the front. They got very nasty. The mangers weren't nice at all. None of them were nice everybody stuck to their own little cliques and it wasn't good. I left May 2024 because I moved to Jersey. I don't recommend anybody working at HomeGoods. It's not a good place to work. Especially this location with the managers just aren't nice. read more

We took the bus from Brooklyn to get here. The selection of products is good and it was very organized. Nothing was picked through! The prices were good for pans and dinnerware. The customer service was good. I highly recommend coming here for dinnerware, cookware, and home decor. read more

There is a serious over representation of Eastern Europeans shopping here. I heard more Russian than English walking around the store. They have a surprisingly large selection of high end item (some up to and over $100) that look really great in a house. read more

I love the large selection of items in the store. My only complaint is yesterday I bought a set of two bathroom rugs and when I got it home and unfolded it in my house there was a roach in between the two rugs . Thankfully I was able to kill it when it started to run. I will probably not go to that home goods in the future. I am only thankful that I saw it before it escaped into my house. read more

There is a wonderful cashier who is always working when I come in there that deserves her stars and recognition. She is ALWAYS warm/smiling and super kind, with awesome suggestions of items they've gotten in (and some great taste in candles!). She makes my experience a pleasure here every time. Hit or miss goods. Sometimes I find beautiful rugs and furnishings and sometimes it is a miss. My favorite items from here are the lamps. If you are lucky enough to find a set and they are both in good order you can really score. It's nice that they always have different stuff, bathrooms should be avoided though. read more

I want to give this place a good review but I've been here 4 times since I moved to Staten Island and 3/4 times nobody would help me check out at the cashier. I wait in the line and go to the announced cashier and they just disappear while I stand their with my items for about 5 minutes before I give up and just leave. They apparently don't need the money. Not sure if this just this location or all Home Goods but I would like to spend my gift card. I keep hearing people say they don't have this experience so I guess it's just against me. Oh well. This weekend we did it and we drove here for shopping. And we did serious shopping. Almost changed the whole house. They were helpful and they directed us to the best deals. I was able to get a lot and when we paid I felt like we got a really good deal. Many reasons to come to Homegoods. I recommend it, and I know this was not my last visit. for some reason the workers here want the customers to do their jobs. I'm 8 months pregnant and the cashier I used was asking me to pick things up off the floor that I didn't drop on the floor and move carts . another was telling me to fix the rugs and put them in order on the shelf, bed customer service and lazy employees. If I could give 0 stars I would!!! I am just moving into my new house near this home goods. I also just applied for their credit card online. They gave me a temporary credit card to use in the meantime while I wait for a real one that specifically states "CAN BE USED IN ALL STORES - TJM, Marshall's, AND Home goods!" I made a huge order and the cashier told me she could not use my temp credit card. She then goes on to ask another cashier who also says "yea, not sure what to do with this" and hands me back my phone (where my info was). They call over the manager who also did not know anything. He simply said "Yeah, I've never seen this before. Nobody has ever came in with this so I can't do it. You have to pay another way." As we go back and forth about how the temp credit specifically states I can use it in store, he completely ignores me and continues to say he doesn't know what that is and if there is no barcode he cannot help me and that this is the procedure for EVERY STORE... I left the store and called corporate. THEY SAID THEY CAN DO IT!!! I also called another Home Goods in NJ and TJ Maxx down the block, THEY ALL SAID THEY CAN DO IT WITH NO PROBLEM! How dare this place allow workers and managers to assist their customers and not Know how their procedures work. I spent 2.5 hours here for NOTHING. All to be ridiculed on the line and told what I had was not Valid there or at any other store. Completely unacceptable. Never shopping here again! read more

This is a decent store for furniture and home decor but you can't always count on it. I have found a few small things here and there...a set of thank you cards, home office supplies, storage boxes. Be careful though, I have seen many items on the shelf that were in pretty bad shape. The lines are usually long and the cashiers are not friendly, but there is always parking for the most part and I usually walk out of here with something. read more

I came here for three items, that I found in about an hour. It wasn't as organized as I would have liked it to be. I went in line and waited for thirty minutes. When I was going to be the next person at the cashier, the lady in front of me started arguing about a sale for about a dollar off. All four cashiers stopped helping their customer and started searching for a coupon. Three ladies behind me walked out, and after twenty minutes, I finally walked out. They have a lot of variety here. Having just adopted a dog in December I visited the pet isle. Hard to believe they have more pet toys than pet land. They have a huge selection of snacks and dog dishes as well. No dog food though. Real nice pet bedding and pillows too. read more

I love Home Goods! For years, I didn't even know there was one in NYC, but since moving to S.I. this has become one of my staple places to shop. I love their selection of gourmet food items, and sometimes on the clearance rack you can pick up some amazing deals. Yesterday I picked up a bottle of jalapeno-sour-apple hot sauce (No, I don't need any more condiments, but I am a sucker for fancy hot sauces), some jelly belly jellybeans, some fancy chocolate truffles to bring to my co-worker's birthday thingy tomorrow, and some nice extra-virgin olive oil. This location always seems to have a really nice and well-stocked selection of garden and outdoor decor (I've picked up some trellises, a large planter, and some Peruvian gourd bird houses that sadly birds seem to have no interest in living in), a bunch of kitchen stuff (got a nice knife set), lots of dishes (a lovely Turkish fruit bowl), bath and body products (olive oil hand soap), as well as scented candles, rugs & small furniture, lamps, pet accessories, sheets & cushions, "art" and home decor, and many more such items. The selection is constantly changing - if you see something you like, grab it, because it won't be there next time. Sometimes they've got damaged items on the floor - I've found that if you still want the item, if it's not already discounted, they're usually willing to take some $$ off the price - unusual for a big chain, and very cool. Considering how busy it is, the store is kept in remarkably good shape. (Unlike the Marshall's at Atlantic Center - same management, some of the same products, but I cannot stand that store.) The lines can occasionally be daunting, however, and it's challenging to get your hands on a shopping cart. It's also unfortunate that they don't offer a delivery service, considering how many large items they sell. read more

Take the clothing & shoe sections out of a TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Ross store and what you'll have left is Homegoods. The first time I went in there, it was near closing time, and I commented on how clean and organized everything was. The second time I went in was the middle of the afternoon and the place was a DISASTAH! The bedding department was trashed with unfolded blankets all over the place. Several items were laying on the floor. I noticed a couple lazy customers drop kitchen items (utensils) on the ground and just leave them there. I kind of feel bad for the people who work there. :\ Annnnnnnnnyway. If you're looking for something for your home--plates, utensils, cookware, pillows, etc--it may be worth it to shop here. That is if you're not OCD and can deal with disorganization. Some of the deals aren't really deals at all, but if you have the time (and patience) to do a little digging, you may come away with something great. read more

I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack from the total disorganzation of this store and slow as snails cashiers, but for kitchen gadgets and home decor, the prices are cheap and they sell name brands. I always check this store out before going to Macys or BBandBeyond. I would not recommend buying sheets (bought some that felt like sand paper and had a hole in them) or bathroom accessories from here though. Put $60 down the drain on crap that fell apart after a week. I actually tend to think some of their bathroom items are defective. Their parking lot is a nightmare too. read more

I love Homegoods! They always have great gifts ideas (especially last minute ones) at a reasonable price. The inventory is always changing, so if you see something you like, you better buy it because it may not be there next time you go. It can be a bit overwhelming since everything is scattered everywhere, but if you have time to browse, then you have time for this store. The line can be long & the cashiers can be a little slow, but be patient & browse the items next to the check out line while you wait. Great store! read more

I've been to HomeGoods in Woodbridge NJ and in Manhattan 96th Upper West, I still like Staten Island version because it's big . The one in Manhattan is cramped with two floors but the stuff is nice. I bought exact same items I got from Staten. The one from Woodbridge is good too but they are somewhat late in stock delivery I feel because I'm scouring for my favorite food and bedding I'm specific about and it's not yet available there. Depending on what you want its okay. They have alot of housewares. Went in there to buy a houseplant, thought it was $40...the leaves were kind of tattered, turned out to be $90. Hell no! Bought shelves, the price was reasonable, but the shelves were scratched and chipped. They pretty much have the nerve to sell junk at a ridiculous price. I often love the products ! what I don't love is the sales people...they are often cranky , and not friendly . I often feel as if they are doing me a favor by selling their items to me.
