I loooove coming to Marin Country Mart for my regular manis/pedis with Alina at Marlowe. It's a perfect location, and the nail salon is beautiful. Parking is always easy. And it's fun to grab a bite and shop at the Country Mart and/or Farmer's Market beforehand or afterwards. The vibe of Marlowe is fantastic. Perfect music. Beautiful furnishings and decor. Friendly staff. Alina is amazing. Her application is on point for gel manicures... so much so that her manicures are basically bulletproof and last me 3+ weeks. [And I don't even wear gloves when doing dishes ;) ] She takes her time and is a perfectionist. She gives great hand/arm & leg/foot massages. And the staff is always friendly and helpful--keeping me hydrated, comfortable and happy. my other half has worked with Angelo & had a great experience with him as well :) He is very sweet & kind. so thankful to have found Marlowe and will keep coming back every 3 weeks to keep my mani/pedi looking fresh and happy :) Thank you, Team Marlowe!!! read more

Love it here! It's so clean, modern and well designed. Check out was super easy, as was making the appointment online, which i did somewhat last minute too so i got lucky. My pedicure was great and the nail technician who helped me with the service was lovely. Nice selection of color and products. Convenient location and parking. A little on the pricier side but seems worth it. Feels more like a relaxing mini-spa than just a nail salon. It even smelled nice! read more

So many reasons that i'll keep coming back. This team is super organized and it's always easy to make appts through their website. I am greeted at the entry by a very friendly reception team and they always have my appointment in the books. The space is beautiful, but the pedicure was quick and ordinary. The manicurists who helped us were very unfriendly too. They didn't say hi, didn't look at us, no smiling, didn't say goodbye....made for a very awkward experience. Definitely won't return. read more

Just got done with a mani for myself and my 2.5 year old. My nail tech wouldn't engage with me at all. I understand having a toddler next to us maybe isn't everyone's cup of tea, but she seemed almost angry or upset to be there. My nails look good and clean. I hadn't had a mani pedi in over 4 years... thanks Covid. I decided to go for it and I made an appointment at Marlowe even though the prices were a bit high. Lucky me they had space that very day. What a welcoming and super clean salon. Everyone is very nice. The ambiance is so peaceful and pleasant. They made me feel special at every turn and even provided complimentary Proseco! To be honest... I almost cried from sheer joy and bliss during the pedicure massage. What an incredible experience! I'd give it 10 starts if I could. Just visited for the first time and have nothing but great things to report! First things first, online booking was incredibly easy and honored when I arrived. The salon is brand new, clean, and thoughtfully and aesthetically designed. There's surprisingly no other place remotely like it in Marin. Their nail polish selection is high-quality and includes non-toxic options (OPI, Zoya, Deborah Lipman, Essie, Lakur, etc.). My Marlowe manicure and Big Sur pedicure were provided with care and attention to detail while also being efficient. While their services aren't the cheapest, they are are high quality, and they claim to provide their employees with benefits including 401ks. Can't wait to come back! read more

But the friendly team there put me immediately at ease and guided me in what to expect. Everything at Marlowe is so bright, clean, and elegantly modern. The two technicians I've worked with so far are Alina and Zoey, and both were exceptionally good at what they do as well as being warm and kind. Beautiful ambience - clean and modern with bright natural lighting. Do not get many of these salons around so it was well appreciated! I also loved the drinks service - either Prosecco, tea or coffee. Just that little extra goes a long way in my books. I had a great manicurist Amanda who was very attentive in making sure my nails looked amazing and overall I had a very good experience. They even provided a nail buff for me to bring home. They even store your CC if you want so that you don't have to fumble with payment once your nails are done. SUPER conflicted about this... First, the experience is just incredible. I had such a lovely time and felt so pampered! It's truly one of a kind for nail salons in Marin. The second I was out the door I texted my boyfriend verbatim "I'm never going anywhere else ever again for the rest of my life to get my nails done". It is unmatched. But then I looked at the nails... they did not look good at all. Bumpy, messy lines, polish on my skin, it was bad. One nail chipped literally the next day and I got gel. I'm a week out now and they have not held up well at all. I paid $70 for a gel manicure that didn't even look good walking out of the salon. I will definitely be back and trying out a different manicurist but I feel bad because she was so lovely!! All this to say, it probably depends on who you get, but for the amount of money I spent it is extremely disappointing. read more

Loved the vibe and cleanliness of this place. I don't love going to standard nail salons because they don't clean! Nail dust gets everywhere and even if they use clean towels, they always look dirty. Marlowe was clean, beautiful, calming, and had the cutest nail art! I don't like to talk during manicures or pedicures because it's my "mommy time," so I prefer to read or listen to a podcast during my service. My nail technician didn't mind at all, and only talked to me when she had a question to verify color and nail shape - my dream come true! My only small negative is I booked a Big Sur, which included a 10 minute massage, and I don't think it was actually 10 minutes long - more like 5. I'll definitely go back though! read more
