I needed a small move, from an apartment in Woonsocket, that I was "camping out" in for six months (while waiting for my new, endlessly delayed double-wide to finally get finished and closed on), to Chapachet. That day finally came, and I contacted quite a few movers, who quoted outrageous sums, and dates available weeks and weeks out. I was fearing poor old me would have to drag the stuff, car load by car load to my new place. But then Paradise Movers came to my rescue! They received my request for quotes on the Yelp "Request Quotes" thingy, emailed me with a VERY fair rate, and could schedule it exactly when I needed it. Yay! They confirmed my move 3 or 4 times in the meantime, showed up on time, got right to work, and had me loaded up in a half hour! The drive was 20 minutes, got to my new place, and the whole thing was completely done in 90 minutes. The two movers were really nice! Both were communicative, responsive, careful, and efficient. They did everything with a bubbly attitude and smiles on their faces. They were freaking great - even with my packing job being way less than stellar. I would recommend Paradise Movers to anyone for any size or type of moving needs, but in particular, they shine at smaller, local moves. Hire them now!

We settled on what I *thought* was needed, and he sent a rough estimate within a couple hours. A big relief! However, my circumstances changed abruptly, and I needed to cancel the move. As I had no idea If I would be moving within a couple months or a couple years, I couldn't in good faith postpone. Alex was completely understanding. Through the entire process, from first contact to an unfortunate need to cancel, he was courteous, upfront about all matters, offered helpful suggestions, and very pleasant to work with. My only issue, falls entirely on my shoulders. They do offer a refund policy, but it was me who misunderstood the details. On their site, it clearly states that a refund will be granted only if canceled within 48 hours of booking. I had read it as before 48 hours of my move. That's not on them, my fault. They were kind, professional, efficient, and punctual! My only word of advice would be to the front office, they didn't seem to provide enough communication to the movers and they were short on packing supplies and just how much they had to pack (to be fair they still did an amazing job which is why I'm still giving 5 stars). I would've preferred a phone call as opposed to filling out the app so there wouldn't be as much miscommunication between the movers and the job they had to do. Also, while it wasn't an issue, I got an email about 18 hours before our move asking if they could reschedule it for 2 hours earlier. I would've preferred to be informed much sooner and not just through email but it worked out just fine. Overall I would absolutely hire them again and you should too! (Just be extra communicative about what you need).

They were very communicative from the beginning, and the energy and positivity they brought to loading a 26 foot truck first thing in the morning was very encouraging! We hired 2 buddies for 5 hours, anticipating that we would be right in the trenches clearing out our packed 10x20 unit, but they emptied the unit by themselves in about 2-2.5 hours, all the while keeping up that communication, positivity, and energy. We also appreciated their honesty and experience. They took the time to also load a trailer we brought and teach us the best way to strap things down. They sent me a picture of each wall they built in the truck, and these guys are SERIOUSLY professional Tetris players. This was super helpful as we knew where everything was when it came time to unpack. They strapped everything down in the truck and checked that things wouldn't wiggle loose. Since we drove it ourselves we knew we'd be risking some damage, but nothing had budged. If we could have packed them up and brought them here to unload, we would have! I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Great crew to work with who clearly cared about doing the best job and treating all our things as if they were priceless!

NES Movers were some of the best (tied with Excalibur Moving Company in LA for best movers ever). They arrived early and I swear, NEVER stopped moving. It was like the Hulk had four children and then those children drank double-shot espressos. The owner, Nick, was efficient, nice and hyper. I had gone to Woodstar and bought a to-go box of coffee for everyone, but they didn't touch it. Probably didn't have time between running. They treated everything with care and wrapped extensively with blankets and plastic. Even after a 3,500 mile trip in a moving van that I'm pretty sure doesn't have shocks at all, nothing was broken. They did an excellent and professional job jigsawing everything correctly into the truck and belted it with straps (we purchased straps from them). We were in a midst of an incredibly stressful cross-country move (to say the least), and they were one of the best purchases we made. Everything was done in record time and it gave us more of the day to get the rest of the moving errands done. Thanks Nick and team! This really should have been a two day job, the crew and we were exhausted by the end of the day. I'm not really upset about the cost difference because I knew what their hourly rate was. The crew really wanted to get it all wrapped up for us by the end of the day instead of stretching to another day because they had another job the next day bright and early. The booking office is really putting their workers through the wringer and I don't appreciate that. The crew was kind and delicate with our items. They were being gracious and offering to do whatever we wanted with regards to helping pack remaining items, disassembling and reassembling furniture, and organizing things at the new house. I may have taken note of their time for these things if it hadn't been clear by noon that this was going to already be a very long day. By 10pm I was just happy to have everything remaining that we own in the garage. So I did enjoy the crew, but if you go with this company and have a lot of stuff then you need to do some legwork yourself to get an accurate estimate. I had a three bedroom 1700 sqft house with a large basement and garage and it took 15 hours and cost $4k.
