If I could give them 100 stars, I would. I've moved a lot in the past six years, so we've hired a good number of moving companies. NES Movers were some of the best (tied with Excalibur Moving Company in LA for best movers ever). They arrived early and I swear, NEVER stopped moving. It was like the Hulk had four children and then those children drank double-shot espressos. The owner, Nick, was efficient, nice and hyper. I had gone to Woodstar and bought a to-go box of coffee for everyone, but they didn't touch it. Probably didn't have time between running. They treated everything with care and wrapped extensively with blankets and plastic. Even after a 3,500 mile trip in a moving van that I'm pretty sure doesn't have shocks at all, nothing was broken. They did an excellent and professional job jigsawing everything correctly into the truck and belted it with straps (we purchased straps from them). We were in a midst of an incredibly stressful cross-country move (to say the least), and they were one of the best purchases we made. Everything was done in record time and it gave us more of the day to get the rest of the moving errands done. Thanks Nick and team! I found them through yelp. Talked to Nick. He is one of the rudest persons that i ever talked to in my life. I don't know how is he even in the business. As soon as he picked up the phone he didn't want talk for 10 seconds. Commanded me to send the complete inventory of all items and addressess as soon as he picked the phone. When I said, I was moving inter-state is that ok - YES - is there anything else - getting frustrated! I said my date might be flexible. Says don't even bother and just hung up! NES Movers didn't discriminate against me as a transgender client, rescued me with an emergency/day-of move and fair estimate, and they made short work of my move. I worked with Nick, Roberto, and Luigi, three fantastic dudes who worked together amid the heat of the Friday before Memorial Day. They stayed in contact regarding their estimated arrival time, calling me at many moments to briefly inform me about their rush. They sought guidance from us with how to move, and made sure to offer all sorts of help like moving existing furniture around. They came with all sorts of moving supplies and their truck, and charged for the drive to the destination and back. When we were done, we paid with SQUARE, which allowed me to use my credit card. Very responsive company and Nick as well. I totally under estimated what needed to be moved and they delivered. The guys get moving right away. They are efficient with their time yet careful and don't try to carry things upstairs by themselves. They were super helpful and good about finishing the job. I felt bad for them in the high heat but they deliver. I offered them water and food and they politely refused, but please have water and gatorade for these guys, and energy drinks, they work their tails off. I always judge a company by how they deal with unexpected issues that arise and this company delivered for sure! Good communication and speedy response to every inquiry. Nick called the day before to confirm and answer any questions. He is the spokesmodel for the crew. He is polite and friendly. they came right on time with a hard working crew that cleared my 1200 sq ft house in a little over an hour! Traveling and Putting it in a second floor apartment took about 5 more hours. The whole bunch were super polite and respectful working around my dog and my family. It made moving as easy as it gets. My sister's movers never showed. It was a Yelpmergency... so I yelped. I found these guys, and despite that one scary review (from an orange head with no friends and one review) I called Nick, who asked, "When do you need us?" "Yesterday. The house was supposed to be cleaned out by today at noon." It was already 11am. "We're in Boston right now, but we can be there in an hour and a half." And you know what? They were. Nick and team were prompt, efficient, polite, and just about the best movers I've ever worked with. They even helped drag the Bagster out of the garage and into the driveway where the truck could come pick it up. ( www.thebagster.com it's awesome.) When everything was done and delivered, he could have charged us anything he wanted. We hadn't discussed pricing. We fully expected to be gouged. We were completely at his mercy, but the final price was well under what we expected to have to pay, and we were thrilled. There's no doubt that we'll be calling Nick again to move anything in the future. Whilst moving, he informed us that they do long hauls between MA and FL and MA and CA often, and that they're also the guys Ikea calls when people need help building furniture. Had a great experience with these guys. They were quick, efficient, and careful with our belongings. They showed up 30 min. early (when does that ever happen??) and they got the job done in the estimated time I was given when I first called to make the appointment. We can't speak to their packing; we hired them just for unloading our boxes from our two moving containers to their moving truck, driving to Somerville, and then bringing our stuff into our apartment. These guys exceded my expectations in everyway! First, they showed up early! Do you know how rare it is to get people to even show up on time?! I was quickly impressed by how friendly, quick, and hard workibg the crew was. I am not joking, they are so fast and careful with everything! There was a blanket between my things and they secured things individually to ensure nothing moved in thr truck during transport. Then... they beat me to my own apartment! And here I thought I knew the fastest route. I was moving things from Bob's to my apartment. My apartment has an elevator but in the middle of the building, and they opted to carry it up stairs instead because that way they wouldn't have to move the teuck from the main entrance. How considerate of their surroundings! I was going to be cheap and pay for only an hour but then when I saw how professional and quick they were. So I asked them to stay another hour and put together my furniture. Wow! Everything was done so quickly! I didn't have anything else for them to do! Awesome work. Showed up on time and worked like machines. Pricing reasonable and no gimmicks--it's an hourly rate (and given how much the bust their hump, it's particularly fair). I used them twice, one a whole house local move, and the second time for a small job. Only thing that gives them 4 stars vs 5 is communication. on th second job, I asked for notice of availability and didn't really get it. They are very efficient and knowledgeable on how to properly wrap, pack and store our furniture. They are also very strong, being able to quickly move our heaviest furniture without needing a dolly or hand truck (even though they did bring both at no charge, per our request). We needed them to load up several cubes with furniture and boxes for our move. Everything was tightly stored for the best use of space without putting the furniture at risk of damage. Their team completed our home very quickly. They are reliable, friendly and professional. General advice, to make any move go even more smoothly, make sure you have plenty of moving blankets, furniture wrapping paper, large plastic wrap, straps and other moving supplies ready for your movers to use. Accidentally stumbled upon NES a few years back when U-haul assigned them as my unloaders for a long distance move. Delays on the loading end meant that the truck didn't show up to Boston until 15 minutes before their time window was scheduled to end. Nick took it in strides and was able to accommodate and get everything unloaded and set up in record time while going over the arranged time period. Best of all, he did it without charging me for additional time. Fast forward 3 years and I find myself moving again. After having recommended them to all my friends, there was no doubt who I was planning on using. The 3 guys showed up early and got to work. All furniture was wrapped and everything was well taken care of. They even verified with me if certain items I had accidentally left out were slated to be moved. Loaded up in what maybe a record pace, they were off to my new place to unload. Sadly, this seemed to take forever as of the logistics of location and distance from parking. The team worked diligently never taking a break and tried to get it done as fast as they could. While other movers are cheaper, these guys are as professional as it gets. Everything ended up in great condition, the team was nice and trustworthy and the job got done as promised. I already have plans to use them for my next move. read more

I had a great experience with this company. Nick is a really nice person who is great at communicating, he is accommodating to your schedule, it's is obvious that he cares about your items and not damaging anything, he is very calculated and conscientious about moving any size or shape objects, and he is thorough. Just some examples, he was easy to get a hold of on the phone and called before they left to meet me, arriving 5 mins early and patiently waiting for the person to open the storage unit. He knows the tricks for moving things, even to a 3rd floor apartment. He even knew to ask about the legs to the couch I had purchase, I never would have thought of that. I hired Nick and his guys to pack my moving truck and they were totally incredible - on time, super-professional, knowledgeable, and so fast, I was on the road two hours before I expected to be. I heard about Nick from a friend who hired him to move her last summer. Since Husby and I have some rather bulky/unwieldy items, it seemed like the perfect solution. I only wish that I would have planned better and had them move us entirely (we already had rented a U-Haul). Nick came with two other guys and they were fast, efficient, friendly, etc. I really liked how they covered our mattress/box spring with plastic and really strapped our stuff tightly in the truck. They had a great system and were always there to spot each other. Nick was especially friendly and full of energy. I couldn't believe how quickly they moved us from a 5th floor apartment! The prices were very reasonable and we tipped them well. I had to dock them one star because there were some paint scratches on a couple pieces of our furniture. Nothing a little marker cannot cover but it did make me sad. However, I would highly recommend them to anyone and use them again in a heartbeat! read more

Absolutely amazing!! I can't express how amazing this company is. I called them and booked for the very next morning. When I arrived at my apartment 15 minutes early that morning, they were already there waiting. They moved so quickly and wrapped everything they thought needed it. The team was extremely polite and courteous. When they got to my storage unit, they rearranged it to make everything fit so I wouldn't have to pay double for a bigger unit. We recently used NES movers to move out of our two floor townhouse into a second floor apartment. The team was scheduled to arrive between 7-7:30am and they were more than punctual! The team arrived at our house around 6:40am and they were ready to work! We had quite a few items that needed special care and NES took care of everything - from wrapping up our paintings, to taking apart out dining room table and carefully carrying our overweight furniture up & down a flight of stairs... they did all of this without scratching anything! The team was friendly and understanding of our needs - we didn't have a layout in mind for our over-sized sectional and they worked with us until we found the perfect spot in the apartment. I am not going to lie...I was pretty impressed. This was my first time using professional movers and this group went above and beyond. We booked the company for the day after we were supposed to arrive in town. We weren't exactly sure when we would get into town and they happened to call us when we were 30 minutes away from arriving just to "check on us" and see if we wanted them to come today instead. They had known our arrival was pretty up in the air. It was too perfect - we arrived to our new home and 30 minutes later we had four movers show up. They were fast, efficient, and very friendly. Jay and Nick G (Gragna?) came to move me 20 feet down the hall today, from one studio to another. I was totally ill prepared, but they were amazing. In two hours these two amazing guys had me completely moved into my new apartment with not a scratch on anything. They worked so hard, quickly, and efficiently. I had never hired movers before, and this was the BEST first experience I could have asked for! Nick called me during the weekend before my move and put me at ease. We met at the move-out location and he brought the truck and even an extra guy with him at no cost. They had everything out in under an hour, wrapped up perfectly with no damage to any of my fragile stuff. They made room for me to sit up front in the truck so I wouldnt have to unnecessarily bring my car into the city. They carried everything up my 3 story walk-up, unwrapped everything, put it where I asked, and we had time to spare (they have a 3-hr minimum), so they offered to put my desk together for me and put it where I wanted it. Overall, they were AMAZING, incredibly nice, fun to talk to, and were incredibly professional and efficient. I will hire them again when I move in the future! read more

These guys are all really nice and kind but they did not do a very good job with our move. We needed to pack some things and load them into a relocube. We had movers do this for us before and they were very good and tetrising our items into the cube and making everything fit. These guys were not very thoughtful about the best way to make things fit. For example, we have a set of 8 stackable chairs. They stacked 7 of them and put them in the cube, leaving a single one out that we ended up needing to ship. The things that needed to be packed into boxes were also not packed well. Some glass items were simply thrown into a box with no wrapping or anything and naturally ended up breaking. An example are a picture of some glass candles that were just stacked on top of each other and placed in an ice bucket. The whole process took like 6 hours. Maybe we could have been more organized but I also feel like these movers could have been more efficient and more thoughtful about how they did things. read more

These guys are true professionals. Requested help moving about a week and a half in advance and they were the only company that said it wasn't a problem. The guys showed up 5 mintues early for a 7am move and were ready to go. They were polite, kind, and extremely efficient. They literally would not let us do any of the work. Every time one of us would touch a box or bad they'd all say "I can get that". We were dreading moving and they actually made the experience enjoyable. They were fun, funny, and sweet. If I could give MORE stars I would. I hired NES based solely on Yelp reviews. I was a bit nervous, not knowing them. Not only was Nick's price way more than fair, his guys were friendly and professional. They showed up right on time and were fast! They hustled everything up three flights and put it all back together for me. They made sure I was happy with the placement of everything before they left. They even fixed the stand holding my tv as it was loose (my own fault). I could not recommend them more highly - I'm already referring them to my realtor and some friends.
