Cafe perfection. Great chill vibe overlooking marina. Wonderful staff. Charming table service with pottery coffee mugs. Ice cold orange juice. Amazing basic breakfast with well seasoned potatoes and large delicious sausage. But their chorizo breakfast burrito smothered was THE BEST. so flavorful. We will be back.

It's not a fancy looking location but if you like the marina atmosphere you will like Marina Cafe. The two waitresses working this morning were very welcoming and polite. The breakfast I had (The Basics) was excellent! The coffee was great and plentiful! ...and it did help that there was a cool breeze as I sat in their outdoor patio. I will definately come back! Thank you staff for the great service!

Delicious cafe, with friendly staff, beautiful outside seating. I shared a Montecristo sandwich and CFS and eggs with my brother. My family loved their meals, will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

Hands down best clam chowder I've had in a while ,perfect with a sandwich .

My first time to this place, which to be honest it was their 11th anniversary and the place was packed and had live music, so not an ideal time to review a restaurant but glad I came! Having 2 years' experience as a waiter, I know what goes on and believe me, the owner Sherry and her team were swamped but kept everything flowing which was awesome! The staff was friendly and helpful; the food was great and their Bloody Mary's were perfect! The good flow of a restaurant is the leader, and Sherry was right in there coordinating and leading the team. This place has great ambiance, wonderful people and great food. OMG! even as I write this, now Sherry is in the kitchen cooking! Unbelievable but at the same time, that's what makes a restaurant great! I will definitely be back and bring my mom! (that should tell you something). Thank you Marina Cafe!!!

The Road to Marina Cafe is an adventure in itself. Filled with great views of The Ports, Bridges, & Extra Hard-Working Side of the South Bay. Before arriving, I called inquiring about The Famous Brunch Buffet on the 2nd Sunday of each Month. Vanessa, pleasantly answering over the phone, "Unfortunately after Covid The Buffet has not been back." Fortunately Marina Cafe only has dedicated personnel as Vanessa then recited Key Menu Items with great, mouth-watering description. I was sold! Risky being sold, with my 73 y.o. grandfather in tow (As he's like Chef Ramsey). Nonetheless it was a Win all around. Great Food, A View of the beautiful Marina, and the Beautiful Ladies making everything flow smoothly. Our Order: * Coffee * Pancakes * Belgian Waffle * Breakfast Burrito * Signature Omelette * Country Fried Steak A Special Thanks to Vanessa & Sheri! Vanessa answered my phone call. Then later, discovered she was our Server going above & beyond. Sheri welcomed us like Family as soon we walked in. Enjoying our presence as she walked us to our table and staying another few minutes after to get to know us. I enjoyed the food so much that the memory of taking a picture slipped away. But what better than a picture of the 100% Happy-Customers who 100% recommend Marina Cafe.

If you're looking for a relaxing spot with stunning marina views, delicious food, and genuinely friendly service, Marina Cafe at 720 Peninsula Rd in Wilmington, CA is an absolute must-visit. Tucked away at the Yacht Haven Marina, this charming cafe serves up breakfast and lunch daily from 8 AM to 2 PM, and it's quickly become one of my favorite hidden spots in the area. The beautiful views are the first thing that hits you. Whether you're seated inside or outside, you're surrounded by sparkling water, gently bobbing boats, and that peaceful harbor atmosphere. It's the perfect backdrop for a leisurely morning meal or a casual lunch with friends--especially on a sunny Southern California day. The waterfront setting makes everything feel special without being pretentious. The food is amazing--fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I tried the [signature dishes like their clam chowder or fish and chips], and every bite was spot-on. From fluffy pancakes and hearty breakfast classics to satisfying lunch options, the menu delivers consistent quality that keeps you coming back. Everything tastes homemade and thoughtfully prepared. What really sets this place apart is the friendly staff. The team here is warm, welcoming, and efficient--they make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Service is quick and attentive, with smiles all around. It's that kind of genuine hospitality that turns a good meal into a memorable experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through the Wilmington area, Marina Cafe is worth the trip. Great food, beautiful views, and fantastic people--highly recommend!

Really cool location tucked away in a marina even a Saturday afternoon we were able to park easily and get seated quickly. Views of the water and boats and port cranes in the distance. Staff is friendly, and the margarita special was a deal. Had Bloody Mary nice and spicy with a bacon celery olive garnish. Ordered the soup flight and the hot mess to try lunch and breakfast and both were delicious. Who has seen a soup flight? Menudo, Pozole and Potato Chowder. It was all so good but the Pozole was my favorite. The hot mess biscuit is melt in your mouth good and the sausage and potatoes and egg on top with all that gravy I had to take about half home it was so rich. The gravy is the bomb.

Turkey burgers and fries. Fresh and yummy.

A hidden gem! Food, service & pricing is stellar. I had the creamiest, tastiest clam chowder I have ever had. Clams tasted fresh, not gummy. The turkey burger and fries were fresh and yummy. So amazed at the prices - very economical. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu which was pretty typical American cafe fare. Must ask for a key to use the bathroom which has a few stalls and was very clean. It's a weird maze to get there but you'll feel at home once you arrive. The owner came out to speak with us and she's an absolute peach!

Great service. Genuine, casual, helpful staff. Very clean. Ocean view of docks. Still has classic charming look. Fresh homemade taste in all their dishes. Come as you are type energy.

Absolutely love this place! It's a hidden gem in our city. If you're passing by, STOP BY! We stopped by for brunch with the family and per usual, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the weather was perfect for sitting outdoors and our server Jessica was awesome!

Love love love their clam chowder; it is hands down the best I have ever experienced and I have had a lot of clam chowders being that they are my favorite. My son had the Hot mess and he plans to have it again and again. The pastrami sandwich with sour kraut built in was tangy and tender and the fries with were cooked to perfection. Why have I not found this place before? It is totally awesome and we were lucky to actually be assisted by Sheri herself and she is charming and fun. Gosh, a good time was had by all 6 of us and we plan to make this a regular thing. Not to forget the ambiance; stunning to hang there with the gorgeous boats and sparkling water! What a ge

We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I mention it to the server "that's because it's Coke Zero" Diet Coke and Coke Zero are not interchangeable, guests should be made aware of this especially when the menu says Diet Coke and that's what was asked for. Another note, fountain drinks only had one free refill. I ordered fish and chips, my daughter got the ham and grilled cheese sandwich with "fries", my friend ordered the clam chowder and her daughter got the shrimp basket. First, the "fries and chips" were not fries. They were potato wedges. Although potato wedges are fried potatoes they are not French fries. The fish part of my fish and chips wax good. The tartar sauce was sweet and that threw off my taste buds. My daughter and friend's daughter both enjoyed their orders. My friend said she'd give the clam chowder a 6/6.5. I tasted it. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.

I tried the duck confit, duck fries, and brussel sprouts which all tasted amazing as well. Our server immediately suggested the kids meal and it was brought out pretty quickly so it was impressive how thoughtful they are with kids. If you're not driving on the track, the mimosa was tasty and I want to try the sangria next time (their wine collection looks really good by the way so would love to have more to say on that). Ambiance was also perfect--very chill, very aesthetic. You can see the track from the restaurant and you can even step out onto an outside patio to watch the cars. Restaurant is very clean and decorated well. There were tons of kids around when we went, none of which were fussy (which no judgment if they are, I get it) but I think that shows how kid-friendly and family-friendly this restaurant is, which isn't very easy to find. Just because of that I would definitely come back. We reserved at the earliest they had open that day (11am) and they were able to hold the spot for half an hour max--it wasn't too crowded yet but already a good amount of people coming in. They also had a shopping event that day so that might also be part of it. When you first walk in, there is a visitor log you sign into and they give you a badge that you return when walking out. Pretty easy process.

The food was exceptional, with every dish coming out fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and perfect for celebrating with friends. And of course, the bottomless rosé didn't hurt either! Great food, great drinks, and great service every time. We always have a wonderful experience here and can't wait to keep coming back!

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.
