I hate leaving bad reviews because I've supported this place for years, but lately the quality has gone downhill. Today the ketchup tasted spoiled, my over-easy eggs came out over hard, the fries were extremely burnt, and the steak was mostly fat with almost no meat. I love the inside space and how it's decorated. It's full of culture, and I love the paintings and murals! It is only one woman taking orders and answering the phone so be patient!! She's amazing and I really appreciated how much she attends to all her tables. I got the chicken taquitos without sour cream. It came with salad, rice, beans, and guac. So my ideal burrito spot in carson, didn't offer doordash. But I found this substitute this morning . I ordered a basic egg, potato, bacon and cheese burrito. I was sadly disappointed because there was no salt or pepper to bring any of it to life! The potatoes weren't diced, it was huge, slices in the burrito. And the location didn't follow the request of put salsa on the side. Actually, I received NO salsa inside the bag from both burritos ordered. The california burrito was one of the least favorite dishes of mine from here. I ordered it and received a burrito with big chunks of carne. The meat is not chopped up into bits for it to be distributed evenly. I also asked for no sauce and they still put sauce in my burrito. Just got back from a 3 day cruise. This was the only restaurant open at the time of disembarkation. Food was amazing! Real homemade flavor fed my soul. I had the Huevos Rancheros with a side of beans and potatoes. Also just an observation because it did not take from the quality of the food or service, be patient because there is only one lady doing it all besides the cook. Glad we stopped here. Recently went there while I was in the area visiting the Wilmington Waterfront park. Parking is on the street and is pretty sketchy; in fact the I read on the internet that the very next morning a car was stolen right in front of the restaurant. Beware of that. May want to make sure not to go at peak busy time so you don't have to park too far away. The restaurant itself was clean and the waitress was very nice. We received chips and salsa, which were good. They have maybe 8-10 tables (which were completely taken by the time we left this am). Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.
