    Queso Taco de Barbacoa

Omg disgusting. Some of the worst quality food I've ever been served. I ordered from door dash, when I brought food in my house I could immediately smell something was off. A foul smell like rotten milk was coming from the chile relleno, and the taco was filled with huge pieces of fat i was grossed out

Also the Mahi Mahi and grilled shrimp plate with rice. Absolutely delicious. And the dungeness crab. Yum! Also if you want a hammer for the crab, it's a $2 deposit. They refund you after you return it. Obviously had to get the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Absolutely worth it. All of this cost $130. Mostly cuz of the crab at 29.99/lb. Bread bowls were $16 (we ordered 2) And the plates were less than $25 each. Plenty of seating around.

Went on Sunday for a quick brunch. Ordered grilled halibut plate, wife ordered fish and scallops, topped it off with a clam chowder and two sodas. Total came out to be around 65$. Fish was just grilled with a ton of oil on the same griddle as everything else, seasoning consists of old bay and that is it. Bland, old bay seasoning. Fish and chip was bland, no flavor. Clam chowder had minimal clams and mainly thick soup base. So unless you think those YouTubers are coming there to say nice things, edit the video, and then post it so they can make content money. Don't waste your time and money.

We tok a picture of our table and then went up to order and the food was brought out to us. We only waited about 15 minutes before it got there and it was delicious Me and my hubby shared the shrimp plate it came with potatoes and it was delish! Our friends however ordered the works and it took about 40 minutes to get theirs... something about the lobster tail takes 30-40 minutes to cook:/ by the time they got it we were super done with our lunch. Our hubbia got these huge bottles of beer. It took them about another 40 minutes to finish. I had an agua de sandia from one of the carts... it was MUCH needed after a night of FUN at the concert. We ended up renting one of the bikes and rode it up and down the area. There are a lot of nice restaurants to come very soon! We need to schedule a trip to go back out to the LBC!

Thankfully the outdoor space has lots of tables and shaded seating with a view of the water. You order at the window, give them your table number, and they bring your food out to your table. Honestly, for two, I'm not sure it was worth the $120 meal for the whole fried snapper tray with shrimp, ceviche + chips, and two drinks. The shrimp and potatoes were seasoned.l, so those were my favorite. Everything else was just alright. For the price point, I'd expect a better meal.

Sooooooo about lunch... you know how you're writing something and too many calls are coming in--…read moreyou get sidetracked -so I really meant to write this sooner (no lies here), but when I tell you the service was 10/10, you've got to come visit. My sister and I visited this past --our walnut salad was fresh, the Riesling hit perfectly, and the calamari came out with that golden crunch to die for. But our server... all we could say was Steve, Steve, Steve!!!! He took the cake! Talk about impeccable service and making you feel genuinely welcomed--that's an understatement. This was my second time here, and I've gotta say, I think this has officially become one of my all-time favorites. Downtown Long Beach has always had such a fun, foodie-filled atmosphere. I know some restaurants are struggling, but it's because they didn't have the same atmosphere & service. The food is great, but what really stands out to me are the PEOPLE. Even the servers who weren't serving our table intentionally, smiled, and said hello as they passed. I even remembered one of the servers from my last visit and her sister because they both have some of the most inviting personalities ever. That says a lot about the culture of a restaurant. We also had the opportunity to meet the new GM, which was another nice touch. Great food. Great ambience. GREAT people. And Steve,,,you're the best! 10/10. We'll definitely be back. Oh and to little sisters-- remember that big sister's rule.

Second time at Kin, and enjoyed it thoroughly…read more Parking absolutely blows ans you will most likely have to park on the street since the lot is tiny. Restaurant is packed, so place resos if possible. Food here is absolutely delicious. Notable dishes for me are the Pad See Ew with the giant shrimp and the Salmon Larb. Pad See ew had such a good wok fry essence. So flavorful, and perfect blend of savory and slight sweetness. Chinese broccoli nicely wok fried. The shrimp was jumbo and so succulent. Salmon Larb was perfectly cooked with fried cubes of juicy flavorful salmon. Tossed in fresh mint, cilantro, scallions, a ton of fresh lime juice, chili flakes, red onions and lettuce. The toasted rice powder was definitely apparent as every Larb dish should have. Slightly different take of Larb, bit more modernized and tweaked cause definitely a salad with the lettuce versus served with the cabbage and cucumber on the side. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order. Definitely fusion of authentic with a modernized American feel. Cocktails were excellent and recommend their Tamarind Spicy drink, don't remember the name but it was so good. Unfortunately no photos cause we weee hungry and just cleared out the food as it came out. Service is straight forward. We got what we needed with a bit wait due to the fact the place is BUSY!

First time here... DEFINITELY not our last!…read more We came here for the first time on Saturday around 2 AM, thinking, "It's 2 in the morning... there probably won't be too many people." Well... we were VERY wrong! The parking lot was almost completely full, and there was already a long line just to get inside. We arrived around 2 AM and left a little after 4 AM -- and honestly, it was worth it! If you love seafood, especially fresh seafood, this place is definitely worth waking up for. My partner is the seafood lover, but my personal favorite was the salmon belly. Once they replenished it, people were grabbing bags of it like there was no tomorrow! Since it was our first time, we didn't go too crazy because we weren't sure what we would like or if we'd come back. We ended up getting shrimp, salmon, tuna, and several other types of fish we had never tried before. The biggest surprise was the price when we checked out. I was expecting the total to be MUCH higher, but it was surprisingly reasonable for the amount of seafood we got. BRING CASH! They only accept cash for payment. Another convenient thing is that you can have your fish cleaned after you pay. They also provide the essentials like gloves and bags, and they have foam coolers available if you need one. A few tips from our first visit: Dress comfortably. I saw some people coming in wearing skirts and dressed-up/formal clothes. Maybe they were coming straight from a night out or clubbing, but just know that once you leave, you and your clothes are going to smell like you've been fishing all day. So dress accordingly! Bring your own disposable gloves if you have small hands. The plastic gloves they provide work, but they were way too loose for me and kept slipping off. Go with a game plan. There's a line to get in, a line to pay, and another line if you want your fish cleaned. If you're going with someone, I suggest one person grabs the seafood while the other person waits in line and holds everything. That way you can keep shopping while someone saves your spot. Despite the crowds and the wait, we definitely plan on coming back! The fresh seafood, selection, and prices made the whole experience worth it. Tip- Come prepared, wear comfortable clothes, bring cash, and be ready to wait -- especially if you're coming in the middle of the night. Definitely a fun first experience, and now we know what to grab next time!
