Fresas con Crema Iced Latte

The deliciously curated drinks and friendly service bring me back. Also, probably my second favorite strawberry matcha

Senia O.

I wasn't really sure what I felt like eating . I had previously visited another one that's only about 10min away a few months ago. When I walked in, I got a friendly greeting, and it was pretty quiet until I left; then it started to get busy and rainy. So, I ended up ordering three things: a rosca de Reyes, a.little.co cha mazapan I believe and a stuffed croissant like along with some stuffed. I also got some Abuelita hot latte very good and a chorizo and potato empanada, which was really good overall. The customer service was fantastic; they even refilled my water bottle for me. You definitely need to try the chorizo and potato empanada with the chipotle sauce - it's worth it! You will not be disappointed with the Abuelita and the chorizo Papa with the chipotle sauce

Quick stop in to grab a seasonal item from mariachi that I have wanted to try. Delicious banana cheesecake matcha was recommended by staff ! Great pick me up in the afternoon.

An earth angel blessed me with lunch delivered right to my door. The croissants were incredible! Interestingly, I had prayed for God to grant me strength and energy. Boom! Coffee arrived at my door, bringing a smile. God truly works in mysterious ways. The drink was delightful, but nothing compared to the croissant and coffee.

This establishment should be called mariacheese bakery. I stopped in for a breakfast burrito but it came with cheese, it's a chorizo and egg burrito it's usually my go to since this burrito typically does not come with cheese. It came with cheese here and was told it could not be removed. I get it, premade stuff or maybe shredded cheese could be hard to remove. But Every food item included cheese! They should have at least one food item without cheese. I purchased a vanilla concha which was just okay and went on my way to burrito exchange.

BUÑUELO DE OLLA

I love seasonal drinks, this one is unique. The buñuelo de olla is soooo good! It has an horchata foam and cafe the olla cold brew. I tried the brown butter last time and it wasn't it for me this one though is definitely the best seasonal drink out there. Also I asked for no Christmas sprinkles but it usually comes with them. This is the spot for quick good coffee

A little late review but came here around February and found out they had a whole special menu for Valentine's Day and it lasted all month!! I was surprised, the dessert and the coffee was delicious, perfect place to hangout with friends and family

After a chilly morning bike ride, a bakery just sounded like the right place to stop. When we walked in, the interior was very modern and clean, primarily a black and white asthetic. We had a fairly large group, and we were noticed and attended to in a timely manner, with the staff apologizing for any excessive wait. I got one Cuerno Fino pan and a mazapan concha. Both were excellent. I didn't get a coffee but a lot of my peers did, and I kind of wish I got one myself. All in all, it was a great visit. Would definitely come again if in the area.

Coffee is on the sweeter side, but still able to taste the espresso overall it was tasty. Service was friendly definitely a plus. Coffee shop was clean. Did not try any of the food.

Big place with ample seating and clean. Even the restrooms are clean. They have a variety of coffee, matcha, frappe, and latte drinks. They also have pan dulce and some unique/variety slices of tres leches cake. also, if you feeling for something savory they have burritos, tortas, and empanadas. I didn't get a chance to order any food but went with the iced latte with pistachio cold foam. The gansito, horchata, and cafe de olla tres leche slices look worthy of a try!

Walked in to a very clean establishment this would be my second time visiting this store and I'm still amazed by it I wish I would have gotten the cashiers name but a young man suggested two cold brews one being the abuelita and one being the duvalin cold brew both VERY GOOD I will be back to try some more Also the pan dulce line up looked amazing , no flies , no dirty smells , plenty of seating , and plenty of menu items to choose from

I love this place ! It's always so clean inside and the coffee is always a hit! Everyone there is very friendly! Their chorizo con papa burrito is my absolute favorite!

I had the chance to finally try Mariachi Bakery here in Downey for the first time a in early December. I had high hopes for it because of their strong following and presence on IG. However, nothing truly wowed me other than the delicious pumpkin spice loaf bread I tried. I had a dulce de leche latte and didn't think there was anything special about it, it tasted just like the caramel macchiato from Starbucks which is nothing special. I also tried their cheese croissant and a couple of their mini conchas. The croissant was ok but the mini concha's were awful. Not sure if I just went on a bad day or if they always taste like that but they were no bueno. They were hard and kind of flavorless. I wouldn't get those again. However I would definitely come back for more of their delicious pumpkin spice loaf which was amazing! I am willing to give it another try to see if perhaps a different coffee is better but for now based on this experience, I can only give it 3 stars at best.

The foam with the custom latte art cost an extra $2 but I think it was worth it, at least for my first time. To be honest, Honey Greens seemed like a gimmicky place since I thought the foam art was all that it was known for, but no, their drink quality was actually good! I got the agave matcha latte for myself, and I enjoyed how rich it tasted and how vibrant it was in color. I also added a cold foam which made it too sweet for me. Next time, I plan on ordering an unsweetened matcha latte and add cold foam as the sweetener. I also tried a sip of the lavender matcha and that was the one thing I didn't like because the lavender overpowered the matcha. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon with all the tables filled and a short line formed after I walked in. The workers were all so kind, and it was overall a very inviting place with fun decorations and a myriad of art options for the cold foam.

I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and one pump of sugar-free vanilla, and it was made to perfection. I'm trying not to chug it, but it's that good. It was so much that we would reach free drink status pretty quickly. I would grab an Ube matcha with oat milk for me and a cold brew latte with a shot of espresso and oat milk for my partner. We both would also order the waffles. It was a great little breakfast on the go. And service was top notch--pleasant and quick. The quality of the drinks was consistently great! Plus ordering it all online made it super convenient. Lately, there appears to be a shift at Homeboy Coffee. My drinks have had issues with them (i.e., no coconut syrup, watered down, wrong milk, less espresso shot than previously). Now, the waffle is not available for purchasing through their online ordering system despite them available in the store. Overall, Homeboys is okay. It isn't what it used to be which is sad especially because i loved it...especially their Ube matcha latte and waffles. I hope this is a temporary shift and that the OG Homeboy comes back.

I was planning to check out a weekend pop-up at the Promenade at Downey, and afterwards, I just wanted to chill with a couple of drinks at 7 Leaves. Wait, *a couple* of drinks? Oh yes! I noticed that 7 Leaves had an offer for rewards members: Free Strawberry Hibiscus Tea with a $5 purchase. I could have gotten a couple small bites e.g. macarons with the Strawberry Hibiscus Tea, but I chose to get another refresher: Summer Mint, priced at $5.50. I don't think the offer would have worked inside the cafe, so I placed my order in my car and headed inside after doing so. Previously in the app, I was able to order all the toppings for a complimentary drink at no extra charge, but these days, you're only allowed one complimentary topping; I chose the crystal boba. I needed to use the restroom, so while my drinks were being crafted, the bobarista at the front gave me the six-digit code specifically for the left restroom. Was the right restroom reserved for employees only? Hmm not sure. However, as soon as I punched in the code for the left restroom, it was still locked because another customer was inside. I wouldn't have known if it was occupied or not, so I tried the code on the right restroom. Didn't work. I had to wait for that other customer to exit the restroom before I could punch in the restroom code for the third time. As soon as I left the restroom, I heard the bobarista call out my name, and she handed me my drinks in a takeout bag with a drink carrier holding my drinks. But since there was space on the community table by the front counter, I sat at an open seat there to enjoy my drinks and scroll through my phone. My takeout bag included two straws: one regular, and one boba. I went with the Regular Size Summer Mint since it was already over $5, and 40 oz of refreshing drinks would already be quite a lot in one visit anyways. I also declined on a topping, normally 90 cents, for the Summer Mint because with or without a topping, I would still only earn 6 leaves on my purchase. The Strawberry Hibiscus Tea didn't have any actual strawberry bits, but it did have a slice of lime in it. In the app, you can request extra sweet, but that drink was already inherently quite sweet that I fear if I had chosen extra sweet, it would have been over the top. The Summer Mint had a slice of orange and some basil leaves. It was kind of sour and had quite a citrus-y taste, a stark contrast from the strawberry hibiscus that I alternated sips between the two drinks so that my taste buds wouldn't be bored lol. If you wanted to go extra sweet on this one, I wouldn't recommend against it, but it may take away from the intended flavor of the refresher. For both drinks, I ordered Easy Ice, but I think they went Medium on the ice if that makes sense. It was more than I was expecting, so maybe I should request no ice next time lol. They have a pitcher of water at the front counter, which made me want to finish my drinks inside, and then fill up the cups with some H2O prior to leaving. Unfortunately, they had run out of water, and they didn't refill the pitcher. One thing I do want to mention about the drink carrier is that you need to shove the drinks into the slots. I tried setting my Strawberry Hibiscus Tea back inside, but it toppled over easily. Luckily, it was still sealed at the time, so nothing, or maybe a little bit at best, spilled out. The only negative about my last visit was that there was some little kid who came into the cafe trying to sell paletas to patrons who were studying or getting work done inside. Kind of disruptive to the coffee shop ambience I had sought, but he left after a couple of minutes. Overall, I'd be willing to return for a nice refreshing drink next time I'm in Downey!
