Arrived late afternoon, were greeted by the manager who promptly found us a quiet booth. This place is huge, and I think their very busy at night. Waitress was very helpful with the menu. Val had a Chile rellino, she said was just ok, have had better, and have had worse. Pinto beans and rice were purrrrfect. Val also had a wonderful margarita lots of booze. I had chicken dish el Diablo which was excellent and with just the right amount of heat. Thought the place was a little expensive for lunch, but you no what? It ain't Taco Bell. Mojave has a great selection of traditional Mexican favorites and some new twists. Their margaritas are delicious & a great accompaniment to the fresh chunky guacamole and chips. Oh so good! There is nothing petite about the "Petite Calorie Salad." This salad has such great flavor that it doesn't need the extra calories of salad dressing. Add avocado slices to top it off. The enchiladas blanco are to die for! The cream sauce has a wonderful tangy zip that makes every bite a delight! For all the meat lovers out there; you cannot go wrong with the Pork Shank. The meat literally falls off the bone. Fabulous! Mojave has a great bar with terrific appetizers & happy hour hour, but is also family friendly in the restaurant. Love the chili relleno here, always good. soft chili with cheese filling and a light batter. hard to get my version of a perfect relleno, this one gets a B ++, more cheese in there and would be my perfect A. recommend the taquitos as appetizer....or as a meal if your not needing rice and beans they are huge, almost more like a chimi or a flauta as they have flour tortillia. enchilada mole is not up our alley...super heavy cinnamon. tastes like candy, too much chocolate and (peanut butter?)....sauce is seriously more like a chocolate sauce. highly suggest you ask for a taste of the mole first before ordering, just to be safe. last thing, the thing that cost them their 5th star from me is the waitress dress code. 1. Overpriced!! Premium margaritas are over $20! 2. Terrible service. I complained to the owner after food came out cold and I had to walk to the bar to get drinks for our table... twice. His response was nothing short of shocking. He started by yelling at the waitress in front of the entire restaurant and then basically blamed me for being the problem after I told him that he was acting unprofessional. LOL. If you have personnel problems, take it to a private setting. Don't yell at staff in front of customers. 3. All of this on a Wednesday eve when it was slooow. I could possibly understand it "IF" they were busy...but that wasn't the case. I paid the $350 dinner bill and let him know that we would never be back. It is really unfortunate. Attend a wedding reception here and everything was fabulous!!! Our group arrived early and the staff dealt with it very professionally and got us in fast. The food is great! Been here many times. We ordered the deep fried ice cream because it looks so good in the picture. But omg it was frozen so hard we literally couldn't eat it. I used to get it at The Original Taco House and it was warm when it came to the table. These are pre-made. Wouldn't recommend it. I will first mention that my wife and I decided to try this place out on a Monday night. It was not busy, so we got seated and served pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I should definitely make mention, though, that I got the carne asada burrito and you would think for $17 that the meat would be a little more lean--- this meat had a lot of gristle. I have had better meat at a local burrito shop. My wife had carne asada tacos and didn't have much of an issue. All in all, we will more than likely go back. read more

My husband and I ordered a Mexican pizza appetizer and 2 combination meals. They all 3 came out at the same time and my meal, a chicken enchilada and chili relleno were so cold in the middle that the cheese in the chili relleno were unmellted and in complete whole shreds. I let the waitress know and she brought it back to the kitchen and brought the meal back, they must have stuck it in the microwave. The cheese was more melted but the enchilada was only luke warm in the middle. I didn't eat my meal and left hungry. I know sometimes their are new employees training or things just happen but I thought I would bring it to management's attention. Came here tonight for the first time tonight and it was interesting. Server was very nice and attentive with refills, but did ask us for our names and used them to address us when he came back for refills which was weird. I ordered the street tacos and I was very disappointed. The chicken was thin and flavorless. They only used one tortilla so the tacos fell apart easily. The rice and beans were bland. Not to mention the food was very overpriced. I had 75% of my food leftover and didn't even take it to-go because I didn't see myself eating it later. Will not be returning any time soon read more

Three stars because the drinks were great! Waitress never put in our food order and somehow never noticed. She hardly checked back on us so we weren't able to let her know we didn't want it anymore for an hour and a half after tables around us had come and gone and eaten. We are all servers or have been and couldn't understand how you wouldn't notice for that long. We expected to have food with our massive drinks and ended up feeling pretty sick since we didn't get the food. She comped the food and gave it to us for free but it was pretty sorry looking when we got it (street tacos).
