Authentic Mexican food, Very tasty, great price. Really loud when school lets out for lunch, kids like hanging out and lots of car noises. It's worth the wait to have a late lunch or visit on the weekends. GREAT FOOD DON'T MISS OUT!!! read more

This is a really sweet place with a nice little outdoor dining patio. We were really hungry for tamales so I would say their tamales are about four on a scale of one to 10. Refried beans, really boring guacamole. I think it was almost time before it goes bad. I had a lamb tostada that was decent. I've definitely had authentic Mexican food a lot and even though the service is great and the counter person was really sweet. I don't think we'd come back here again. But the atmosphere outside perfect. All maybe there's other dishes that are better read more

The service was super quick and friendly. We ordered 6 tacos each and we were offered a free soda with it which was wonderful! I got 2 fish, 2 shrimp and 2, carne asada so I could try a little of everything. I didn't personally like the fish because I prefer it fries very crispy but the other two kinds were pretty good. I would eat the shrimp ones again especially. read more

What a hidden gem this place was! My wife and I had our anniversary, we really didn't plan much but decided she wanted a tostada for dinner. We came across this place online as they were open until 10pm. It is street parking which was no issue getting a spot. Upon walking in I was unsure and frankly not expecting much. It was clean but seemed very fast food like with a large menu behind the counter, you order at the counter then find a table. My wife ordered the chicken tostada and I ordered the carne asada super burrito! They brought us fresh chips and 3 dipping sauces which were all good. Our entrees came out fast. The tostada was piled high with fresh veggies, guacamole and sour cream. There was a heaping pile of chicken under the veggies and a crispy shell. The chicken was grilled and tasted fantastic! The tostada also had a side of rice and pinto beans. My burrito was "huge". Approximately 10 inches in length and 4.5/5 inches wide. It was extremely flavorful and the carne asada had awesome texture and flavor! I could only eat half of it. We then ordered flan and 3 kinds of churros, regular, caramel, and strawberry. My favorite was the strawberry and my wife liked the regular, all were good though. This place has a great beer selection and they are working on getting hard alcohol as well. Definitely will be back again, not sure why it took us so long to find and try this place. read more

The first time we ate at Taqueria Mi Jalisco was August 2023 when we were vacationing (living in the East Bay at that time) after a friend's wedding in Vancouver. That first visit I tried the nachos, which is one of two of my favorite dishes at any taqueria. The nachos were absolutely divine and I noted that the next time I wanted to try their chile relleno, which is my second favorite dish. I finally got to try their chile relleno earlier this month as a local! We were on a chasing waterfalls tour for my birthday and stopped here for lunch on the way back home. Both visits were fantastic with delicious food, warm and friendly service, and a festive and cozy vibe. Taqueria Mi Jalisco will always be our go to when we're making our way through Gresham. read more

I genuinely hate to leave a bad review and I'll mute this from public view if I can but I ordered the regular burrito from here two-three days ago and i'm still upset with how bland, tasteless and undercooked it was. I took 3 bites and tossed it, I even added the sauces thinking they'd help but dude. The sauces made me more nauseous. The price is great and I just wanna say you get what you pay for. There's was an insane lack of seasoning on the rice, beans and meat and all 3 sauces were watery and generic af. This is mexican food if you're used to unseasoned green been casserole. I took a chance bc my fav spot "Don Pedro Taqueria" specifically the food truck was closed. I sincerely hate to be mean but this food actively made me nauseous, I was hungry af; and on the first bite went pale. Idk how there's so many good reviews. There's NO flavor. read more

My first time coming to this great little establishment. The food was FANTASTIC. My toddler loved his quesadilla and rice and the chicken flautas I ordered were phenomenal. My grandma got the tostada Cameron, which was so light delicious and refreshing. The flavors of everything we ordered were just spot on . The service from the wonderful guy behind the counter was very honest and welcoming. We WILL be back! Thank you so much for a great experience! read more

Great ambience. Great location.Great food. Love the Super Wet Burrito and the churros!

We had the Tuesday lunch special, Super Wet Burrito, and were not disappointed! The gentleman at the counter was professional and courteous, patient with us, and made no attempt to up-sell us. When our food arrived we were surprised how large our burritos were; they really mean "SUPER"! More important, the food was delicious. The dining room was very clean and well decorated, giving a welcoming feeling. The lavatory was also clean and well lit. You will be glad you stopped here! read more

We wanted fajitas and this place nailed it. It's crazy how much you get in one order, not to mention the rice and beans that come with them. The restaurant is small but the food portions are BIG. You'll have to try the churros. We had strawberry and chocolate and both were delicious. It was all delicious. This will be our go-to for Mexican food from now on. read more

Tasty Mexican food! The girls greeted us as soon as we entered. Took our order with a smile and answered all of our questions. They have a nice patio and it's wheelchair accessible. We were running errands in the area and wanted to try someplace new. The spot had solid reviews and we were convinced. We ordered the steak ranchero special of the day, crispy chicken taco, and chicken flautas and everything was SO good. We were so full but based on all the entrees being delicious we ordered churros. My partner was supposed to go in and only order 1 flavor but he ended up ordering every flavor they had. I think 4-5. Everything was delicious. It was a beautiful sunny day and they have the cutest little outdoor seating area. Ample space and such a cute vibe. The servers, hosts, and all staff were all so friendly and helpful. We will def be back if we are in the neighborhood. read more

Another fav. Give it a try you won't regret it. Flavors galore. Great service and reasonable prices

Order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Friendly service, good portions and nice outdoor seating area. Mexican food in Oregon is hit and miss. For the price the food taste and quality were mediocre. The worst part was being served stale chips, no bueno. read more

Great food as always, when coming to an authentic Mexican restaurant... No matter if the restaurants are competing or not they're always making bomb homemade food so you can't go wrong anywhere you go and it says authentic. I got a super wet burrito, which was as big as my forearm almost in bigger than any other super burrito I've ever had elsewhere. I really recommend this place if you're in the small little town of downtown Gresham and try the tacos in the burritos and anything else because it's delicious and splash down with a drink of Coke. read more

We're baaaaaack! This time for breakfast. OH MY DIOS it was such a good idea to skip the 1.5 rated McDisaster's around the corner. We wanted a quick breakfast and remembered about our previous lunch experience here. Seriously?! Only $5.99 for a large potato, egg and (insert meat or veggies) breakfast burrito! I had asada (steak) and my partner had bacon. Delicioso! We walked out of Taqueria Mi Jalisco with full bellies and rosy cheeks. Total bill was only $11.98 for two. We would've paid about the same or more at McDisaster's on Burnside. read more

We ate an early weeknight dinner here. There was no wait and only one other table occupied. We had to order and pay for our food at the counter then it was brought to us, and that made it difficult to order more tortillas, or anything really with out a new order being placed. The service was lacking, the employees seem bored and not attentive to the customers. The food was ok. The salsas were lacking of flavor and heat. We ordered a carnitas soft taco and asada plate. The carnitas was very tasty, but the stake was flavorless and cut into big pieces that it was difficult to eat. Overall the food was ok. Not bad but not memorable either. The interior of the restaurant is clean and bright with TVs on mute. It was not crowded, or noisy when we went. read more

WOW! Lost for words, seriously. Came across this, authentic, warm restaurant while being on a business trip last week. From the greeting, to the taste, and the presentation 5/5 stars across the board. While they were busy, cleanliness was still a top priority to the person working up front who was Danny (might be wrong sorry) I believe. Seemed like it was ran by a humble, hardworking working family! Will definitely be back, and be recommending! read more

This Lady Longhorn loves the food here! I had the Fajitas, and loved them. They were RIGHT and that's sayin' a lot in this town! You may know that fajitas were invented by caballeros on the cattle drives and ranches in Texas, based on the scraps, often including skirt steak, tough but tasty, left them by the trail bosses. They learned to marinate and char grill thin strips over wild mesquite to create a super tasty and simple hand food when combined with a tortilla and charra beans. It's actually an original TexMex concoction, first sold at a cart, then at Escalante's, Mama Ninfa's, and, eventually, every mall and airport food cart on both sides of the border. Thing is, the fajitas in Portland generally SUCK. I've gotten lots of sirloin (marinated of not, but not half as tasty as skirt). I've gotten wild concoctions, some more like guisados, in a frickin' TOMATO SAUCE (the HOrror!). I've never once, until now, gotten thin cut strips of marinated skirt with peppers and onions, wonderfully charred, sizzling on an iron plate. Now I have, and I got it here. Flavors are good, sides good, not great, the frijoles refrescos a bit soupy, everything a bit shallow in flavor and salt. Would benefit from the old TexMex trick of soy sauce. Trust me. Really. Free chips and salsa! Good salsas, again, not great, a bit thin, a bit less spicy than I like, but I know you Portlanders are all allergic to spicy, so... ;) Comparing it to the old standby's of Los Hermanos Ochoas and De Leon's... less expensive by far, just a bit less flavor, but excellent and friendly service and did I mention, chips and salsa INCLUDED?! That's the way we did it in TX, but it seems here in PDX, a bunch of masa, tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, cilantro, and jalapenos must be just too expensive for most. As Taquerias go, this one has made me feel the most happy in both my head and mouth. Oh, and the bathroom was very nice and very clean (and gender-Free). So, my butt was happy too. Next time you visit the Gresham Saturday Market, Old Gresham, Tsuru Park or Gresham City Park for little league... head here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They do have a nice patio, though construction on City Hall (?) right now is spoiling the vibe on weekdays, but... this too shall pass. See my video clip. Great food. We shared tacos, carne asada, and a Chile relleno. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

Our 1st time there... service from Emilla was great. The food was wonderful, large portions and fair prices. First came the chips with 3 sauces, red, green and sour cream with jalapenos blended in (my favorite, almosted tasted like a spicy queso). Mark had a crisp Lengua Taco and steak plate, carne asada and grilled onions. I had the Friday special enchilada and tamal. Al Pastor for enchilada and chicken in the tamal. Everything was fresh and tasty. Refried Beans were smoothe and creamy, and spanish rice was moist. Both yummy. Also came with small salad with tomato slice and grated cheese. Our favorite meat was the Lengua! Tender and fabulous flavor. I think Mark will get the Lengua burrito next time or Pazole. I will try chili verde. The restaurant and bathroom was spotless. We will be back! Thanks Emilla. read more

This is the BEST authentic Mexican food you have been dreaming of! YES, it is out there! Oh my goodness. Fresh, really tasty, flavorful, reasonably priced, filled with lots of homemade sauces, not dry like the food of many Mexican eateries! I was at swim lessons with my daughter and her family across the street at Gresham High School and we saw this place so we went for lunch. Sooo glad we did! The fish tacos were so full of fish and other spices and items and so filling! Most fish tacos have barely anything on them. I liked it so much I went back for dinner with my son and his family after their kids' swim lessons!! read more

I ordered a breakfast burrito and a large horchata this morning through door dash. My horchata was a little watery but honestly the watery horchata was the best part of my order. My breakfast burrito was absolutely disgusting. I've never in my 22 years, have had a gross breakfast burrito!!! I got bacon and most of the meat was pure white ! All fat! If you don't have bacon just say that! don't wast my money and ruin my stomach! I had to open it & pick out all the fat & nasty raw bacon but it was still gross. Like 4 Potato's were hard as hell! Just ridiculous. Shut this place tf down. read more

The little restaurant across from the High school has had many incarnations. This one might just last Dropped by on a sunny Tuesday at 3ish. First impression....clean and cute inside. Expansive outdoor seating area. You order up front off a board and seat yourself. They bring your food to you. Wife tried the daily special. Tuesday is wet burrito day. Her chosen protein was pork pastor Came out super fast and is super huge. Very flavorful. Probably enough for two I tried the carne asada plate. Thin sliced beef, rice, refried beans, scallions Beef is super thin, can taste the char. Beans and rice are fine. Scallions looked good. Hard to cut. Using plastic silverware 'due to COVID, I assume.' Cutting steak was a little awkward. You get free chips with 3 small containers of sauce. One was a hot red, one was sour cream and jalapeño, the last was a weird avocado salsa hybrid, I think. Not a fan of that one. We overall enjoyed our meal. Service was good. We plan to come back read more

I ordered the 2 taco plate which cane with a side of refried beans and mexican rice. I also ordered 1 shrimp ceviche and 1 extra taco of tripa. My group ordered a Torta and Beef burrito as well. The Tacos; The two beef tacos advertised as Asada which traditionally means BBq'd or cooked over fire. Were a bit soggy and flavorless, had no fire taste and almost a chewy texture. The rice had the perfect texture, nice fluffy, semi firm. The beans had a good consistency not too liquidy and came with a bit of cheese on top. Sadly both of these sides had very little flavoring I wouldn't be able to tell the difference from can refried beans. The rice had no traditional mexican spices nor flavoring. The Shrimp Ceviche; The ceviche was basically tomato, onion, cilantro, cooked shrimp, with a side of avocado. This basically tasted like a pico de gallo, no flavoring, no spice, lacked lime and the shrimp were over boiled. The Tripa Taco; They cooked the tripa how I like it, the taco was decent and crispy. Basically trips, cilantro, and a green sauce. The salsas; I asked for all the Salsas they offered so i can taste them, they brought a green avocado, a red tomato, and another red one that they said was their signature spiciest one. The avocado salsa was decent but watery. The red was texmex no spiciness. Their signature spice sauce tasted like tapatio mixed with another red sauce. Overall: I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as an authentic mexican eatery. If you're a first timer for Mexican food this could ruin your experience. This experience left me hungry for flavor and disappointed. The lack of flavor really did it for me. Food prices are not worth the quality or taste. My mom always told me, "if you walk into a restaurant and your nose don't get filled up with amazing authentic food smells and cooking then walk your but right out that restaurant". This place also failed the smell test, I should have just walked out. I hate giving eateries a one star so I'll leave this one at a 2. Good luck and happy eating everyone. read more
