I saw the amazing photos on yelp so had to check it out for myself. I have yet to find a favorite pizza place west of king of Prussia. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is free and fun! Obviously a great place for friends, families, and kids. They had a lot of different specialty pizzas on display so we tried 4 different types. The sausage pineapple was my favorite but really no complaints on any of them. My kid loved his fries and tenders. The garlic knots were a bit doughy, maybe they need to stay in the oven longer but not something that'll keep me from ordering them again. The service was friendly and quick. The pizza had a nice, flavorful sauce and a good balance of cheese, but the crust was a bit thicker than I expected. It was still tasty, though, with a nice chewiness and a satisfying, doughy texture. Upon our very first visit to Marco's, we were thrilled with our order; we had the cheesesteak pizza and French fries. All was great, so much that we came back shortly following this visit. The second visit was not as good as the first, however, we decided to try again. We did again order the cheesesteak pizza and French fries, but this time we added the garlic knots, which were very tasty. We returned two or three more times and with each visit, the quality of the cheesesteak pizza seemed to decline. Our last dine-in experience was the last for that pizza, however the cheesy garlic bread was really good. My coworker and I decided to order pizza at work and have it delivered just a few days ago and that was the worst experience to date I have had with Marco's. My coworker always spoke highly of their pizza and Stromboli, so we gave it a whirl. The delivery driver absolutely creeped me out and I made sure to let the "manager" know this. We were very busy at work and unable to dive right into our pizza, so it sat for roughly 5-10 minutes before we could eat. The box was taped shut, so neither one of us opened it to see the quality (or lack thereof) we had received. Clearly, this pizza was mishandled in transit because one side of the crust was folded over and smashed into the cheese and the other side had a run-off of cheese and grease all over the inside of the box. Neither one of us were pleased with what we received and said we would never order from there again. My coworker expressed to me that he had referred many people to Marco's over the course of his employment with our company, as he lives in another county and does not regularly patronize this business. He said he would never recommend them to anyone again. I called (after we ate the mangled side) and let them know how displeased we were and asked what they would do to remedy the situation; the young boy on the phone said, "It's not that I don't trust you, but could you take a picture and send it to this number, so we can see to what you are referring?" To which I replied that we had already eaten half of the pizza because we were so hungry and as we ate discussed how displeasing and unsatisfactory it was. He informed me he would get back to me to let me know what [they] would do moving forward. He did not reach back out to me. By this point, my level of agitation had risen and I called them again to discuss their decision. I was told someone would deliver another pizza and told them I got off in 13 minutes, so that wouldn't suffice. They offered a credit instead and my coworker looked at each other like "Meh" and agreed to their offer. I had two days to stew on this as the charge sat in "pending status", so I {again} called to speak with a manager to explain the situation; the girl with whom I spoke was the same girl from the day we ordered and while she was "nice", there was a lack in her authority as a manager because she had to confer with the owner. I requested a full refund be issued as I was so disappointed and had no desire to have anything from there ever again. I clearly heard him in the background that he would in fact NOT be issuing a refund and was very unprofessional about it. His stance was that he already tried to send another pizza or do a credit and he was rectifying it by doing so. I decided to call my financial institution to dispute the charges as I was charged for something that was "defective" and "dissatisfied". I was informed that if the vendor did not agree to the dispute, I would then be charged 30 dollars. The pizza wasn't worth 5 dollars, let alone the 22.03 I was charged, and certainly not a possible additional 30 dollars, so here I am leaving my first non-five-star review. I even told the girl on the phone that their pizza wasn't worth the charge and I could go to Caesar's Pizza and Wings on Roosevelt Ave and get two large cheese pizzas for 20 dollars. I will never again patronize this business or any of their other businesses. **The evidence is clear that the pie was tousled in the box due to the grease coating on the corner of the box. {Again}, we ate the side that had the crust bent over into the cheese before snapping a photo. Initially, I wasn't going to say anything, but as time passed, I was more irritated by the presentation, hence the photo [after] we ate some. read more

We just received a delivery order from Marcos pizza and were extremely disappointed, we ordered wings which were puny and not very good, probably frozen. The fries were just grease fries, not very good, and their subs are just ok, they just never WOW you. I ordered a round steak sandwich, thinking I'd get a classic italian round steak i grew up loving, not the case, too much meat, crappy roll, and the wrong type of pickles. My wife and I both give them a one for quality and flavor of their food, generally. I miss the authentic family owned italian pizzaria...those days are evidently over if this is the new type of italian pizzaria. One of my favorite pizza places in York. The stuffed pizza is so good. You can pick up a slice from the counter of specialty pizzas already made which is nice. Plenty of seating inside and out. The back room has TV's for the sports fans. Coke freestyle machines to fill up your own drink, one in the front and one in the back. Still need to try the little ice cream shop downstairs. It was my first time here, so the lady walked me through all 20 different kinds of pizza they had available. They had such amazing unique pizza. I was in town for the York Marathon and obviously was looking for some good carbo loading. York is a very small town and I was getting a little nervous, but I found this place on Yelp (thank you Yelpers!). This place is very modern and beautiful. Yes, a pizza join can be beautiful. Has a nice open-bay area of all the pizzas available. I placed an order for the ziti platter. It comes with a salad and bread. Both of these sides were very good. I asked the ziti to come with meatballs, but they did meat sauce...but that's OK. It was still good. Only able to eat half of it, the portions were GIGANTIC. Stopped by here on a day trip to York. There were so many pizza slices to choose from, I wanted all of them but decided on mozzarella stick pizza. It was great, my husband got chicken bacon ranch pizza and loved it. The price I thought was very reasonable, 2 big slices and 2 drinks for about $11. Arrived here on a Friday at noon. The place was extremely busy. Counter person was on the phone with a very large order. Apologizing for delay till he could get to me. Even after he got the phone he still apologized. After he took my order he said it would be 10-15 minutes. It came out in less than 10. Took my steak sub back to work and found out it was wrong. Not sure who's fault it is. The sub was still very good. I'm sure I will return here. Good food and good service. People are human. read more

I was looking to try a new pizza spot in the York area. I noticed many glowing reviews for Marco's so I thought it would be great to try it. I ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms. My first question upon calling in was "do you use fresh or canned mushrooms?". There was a brief pause, then the girl said "I think fresh". I was already assuming based on her doubtful response they were canned. I rolled the dice anyway. She was friendly and polite otherwise though. I waited in the pickup area lot and within a few minutes my order was brought out. The gentleman was courteous and polite. When I opened the box I instantly saw canned mushrooms. If your staff doesn't know what toppings are used they should ask. Sounds like the fair and polite thing to do. The pizza itself was just ok. It seemed to have a little too much Italian seasoning on it. The crust was ok and had a crispy outside. Overall, very average pizza that didn't really have me excited to return. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I went there, and there were many staffs in the front they just looked at me , no hello or asked if I need any help or anything . I looked at all the foods they have and I even have asked a guy that am ready to choose what I want. I ordered all vegetarian options and i saw one that looked almost like taco pizza and asked if their was any meat in it , he said their was so I skipped that it, Then I was one that looked really good which was buffalo, with cheese only so I added that to my order . they heat up my pizzas in the oven , so I was standing waiting , while I was waiting about 5 minutes later, a couple walked in and they all shouted out welcome and hello and were helping the couple to choose what they would recommend. Another 5 minutes of waiting, a family walked in , as soon as they opened the door , again they all shouted out hello how you guys doing and made they all feel welcomed. It made me feel very low and hurt that they didn't acknowledge my presence and cold towards me for no reason. When I got home I heated up the buffalo pizza in the oven then I start eating it , was wondering why was it so heavy and use a knife to cut it to see why the tough was so thick , and found it was loaded which chicken, I threw it in the trash immediately and shocked because the guy that helped me , knew that I didn't want any meat and yet he didn't told me the buffalo pizza did had chicken in it. Made me even more upset after what I already experienced in that restaurant, and I didn't call to report because I will never go there again. The lady at counter that took our order was rude, a young gentleman with dreadlocks was leaning over all of the pre-made pizza, so we ordered a whole fresh pizza and it just wasn't good. We got the Marco their signature pizza and it just didn't taste good, being the signature dish we thought it would have been tasty. Also ordered a side of meatballs and they were just bland. There are very few delivery places in this part of town and everytime I order from there the order is wrong. They put cold subs in with hot food. Try to ask for the Subs dry and they come with mayo and oil causing the bread to get soggy cause of their ridiculous wait times. read more

First time trying Marcos. I read some reviews before deciding to go and i probably should have taken the poor reviews more seriously. I prefer to be a judge myself so went anyways. Pizza is rather bland. It seemed like mush in my mouth. No flavor, not much texture. I believe it was possibly undercooked- seemed doughy. Not much sauce and what was on it had no flavor. I ended up eating just the crust, which was crispy. It wasn't awful. It was indeed edible but very disappointing. I guess i was expecting more :( Won't be going back. read more
