Chic fila pizza, so good I had to eat some first.
    Johnathan B.

This place has been one that always amazes my taste buds. From the creative pizzas to all the flavors. You cannot go wrong here if you are seeking a tasty experience. Bathrooms are nice and spacious. Staff always quick to help your needs.

Upon our very first visit to Marco's, we were thrilled with our order; we had the cheesesteak pizza and French fries. All was great, so much that we came back shortly following this visit. The second visit was not as good as the first, however, we decided to try again. We did again order the cheesesteak pizza and French fries, but this time we added the garlic knots, which were very tasty. We returned two or three more times and with each visit, the quality of the cheesesteak pizza seemed to decline. Our last dine-in experience was the last for that pizza, however the cheesy garlic bread was really good. My coworker and I decided to order pizza at work and have it delivered just a few days ago and that was the worst experience to date I have had with Marco's. My coworker always spoke highly of their pizza and Stromboli, so we gave it a whirl. The delivery driver absolutely creeped me out and I made sure to let the "manager" know this. We were very busy at work and unable to dive right into our pizza, so it sat for roughly 5-10 minutes before we could eat. The box was taped shut, so neither one of us opened it to see the quality (or lack thereof) we had received. Clearly, this pizza was mishandled in transit because one side of the crust was folded over and smashed into the cheese and the other side had a run-off of cheese and grease all over the inside of the box. Neither one of us were pleased with what we received and said we would never order from there again. My coworker expressed to me that he had referred many people to Marco's over the course of his employment with our company, as he lives in another county and does not regularly patronize this business. He said he would never recommend them to anyone again. I called (after we ate the mangled side) and let them know how displeased we were and asked what they would do to remedy the situation; the young boy on the phone said, "It's not that I don't trust you, but could you take a picture and send it to this number, so we can see to what you are referring?" To which I replied that we had already eaten half of the pizza because we were so hungry and as we ate discussed how displeasing and unsatisfactory it was. He informed me he would get back to me to let me know what [they] would do moving forward. He did not reach back out to me. By this point, my level of agitation had risen and I called them again to discuss their decision. I was told someone would deliver another pizza and told them I got off in 13 minutes, so that wouldn't suffice. They offered a credit instead and my coworker looked at each other like "Meh" and agreed to their offer. I had two days to stew on this as the charge sat in "pending status", so I {again} called to speak with a manager to explain the situation; the girl with whom I spoke was the same girl from the day we ordered and while she was "nice", there was a lack in her authority as a manager because she had to confer with the owner. I requested a full refund be issued as I was so disappointed and had no desire to have anything from there ever again. I clearly heard him in the background that he would in fact NOT be issuing a refund and was very unprofessional about it. His stance was that he already tried to send another pizza or do a credit and he was rectifying it by doing so. I decided to call my financial institution to dispute the charges as I was charged for something that was "defective" and "dissatisfied". I was informed that if the vendor did not agree to the dispute, I would then be charged 30 dollars. The pizza wasn't worth 5 dollars, let alone the 22.03 I was charged, and certainly not a possible additional 30 dollars, so here I am leaving my first non-five-star review. I even told the girl on the phone that their pizza wasn't worth the charge and I could go to Caesar's Pizza and Wings on Roosevelt Ave and get two large cheese pizzas for 20 dollars. I will never again patronize this business or any of their other businesses. **The evidence is clear that the pie was tousled in the box due to the grease coating on the corner of the box. {Again}, we ate the side that had the crust bent over into the cheese before snapping a photo. Initially, I wasn't going to say anything, but as time passed, I was more irritated by the presentation, hence the photo [after] we ate some.

Chicken Parmesan sandwich was great. I Can't wait to try more good pizza too !!!!!! I gotta try some pasta!!

Terrible veggie pizza. No flavor. Don't like the tiny chopped up veggies. The chopped up watery tomatoes are tasteless. I have tried it before thinking it was a one off. I had to add a ton of garlic.

Honestly, I'm very pleasantly surprised from this pizza place. I was expecting just a stereotypical pizza shop, but was I in for a treat. It was my first time here, so the lady walked me through all 20 different kinds of pizza they had available. They had such amazing unique pizza. They had chicken ceasar pizza, fettuccine Alfredo pizza, taco pizza, pizza with fries on it, etc. I got two slices and a large drink for about $8. Will definitely be returning!

I was in town for the York Marathon and obviously was looking for some good carbo loading. York is a very small town and I was getting a little nervous, but I found this place on Yelp (thank you Yelpers!). This place is very modern and beautiful. Yes, a pizza join can be beautiful. Has a nice open-bay area of all the pizzas available. I placed an order for the ziti platter. It comes with a salad and bread. Both of these sides were very good. I asked the ziti to come with meatballs, but they did meat sauce...but that's OK. It was still good. Only able to eat half of it, the portions were GIGANTIC. I'll definitely be back if I do the York Marathon again!

Stopped by here on a day trip to York. There were so many pizza slices to choose from, I wanted all of them but decided on mozzarella stick pizza. It was great, my husband got chicken bacon ranch pizza and loved it. The price I thought was very reasonable, 2 big slices and 2 drinks for about $11. Will definitely go back if in the area to try some of the other slices.

Great food! Great service. I recommend the cheesesteak!! In my opinion it's great just with meat and cheese.

The other reviews on Yelp started to scare me off of this place, despite seeing it for years and…read moreunderstanding that it has to be decent if it is has survived 30 years of business in some fairly harsh economic conditions. I'm so glad that I listened to my reasoning and didn't listen to the other reviews. Let's get this straight, if you are looking for "INSTA-FAMOUS" location and food presentation, this is NOT your place. The decor is actually something that made me giggle a little bit. 1980's style moulded booths (not fluffy friendly) about 6 on each side of the restaurant. A couple of plastic tables in the middle of the restaurant for large groups or "fluffy people" like myself. Dark red paint on the wall with only 1 piece of artwork, a sign that reads "We have no wifi, pretend it is 1995 and talk to people". (this endeared me most). A wood paneled counter for ordering. A lit up menu above the counter. A make shift utensil and seasonings table. An old trash can. and on this particular day 100's of boxes being made around us (impressively so). The picture I am painting is a 1980's pizza joint. And it really is exactly that, with perhaps the exception of instead of Ms. PacMan at the front, they have 4 gambling machines. To this Gen Xer, I found this refreshing and a true blast from the past. Another relic from the past is their staff. They still hire teenagers. This is both a great thing (teenagers need to work!) and a bad thing as the girls were LOUD and not particularly good at customer service. The adult supervising them was possibly reliving his youth in his ability to play with them. (it wasn't creepy, but, it was kind of sad), instead of managing them and showing them how to provide customer service. But, no one was nasty. Everyone was having a good time. And they got the job done. I ordered an italian boli and I asked for them to add mushrooms to it. They looked at me funny, but, eventually let me get them. My husband ordered an italian cold cut sub, we both ordered 2 large fountain sodas (as per 1980s decor, they came in styrofoam cups). The sub came out almost instantly, which is great if you are looking to eat and leave, but, we were hoping to sit and dine together. So, the nice warm bread, did eventually become cold as we waited or my Boli. The presentation of the sub was good, the meat was piled up well beyond the bread, the lettuce was niceley shredded, the tomato diced, and the oil and vinegar were the perfect mix. My boli arrived about 10 minutes later, just as I had ordered. For size purposes, I would say it was a medium pizza folded over. and sliced into three huge slices. For a small, it was definitely too big for one person to eat in one sitting. It was SOOOOOO cheesy and delicious. The crust was pillowy yet chewy, the cheese was ooey gooey, the meat was not too much, not too little and they did give me as I requested the mushrooms (fresh, not canned). This was delicious in itself, but, man...the sauce.....oh the sauce....it was so sweet and delicous and tasted like summer tomatoes off the vine. Not too thick...not too thin...the pillowy crust of the boli absorbed it perfectly, and together....it made heaven! At the end of the meal you are expected to clean up after yourself (just like any other 1980's pizza joint) and they were nice enough to ask us if we wanted refills on our cokes before we left. Over all: Ambience--I'd say it is a solid 2/5. If you are looking for a perfect date night where eveything is romantic, this isn't the place, unless you met at a 1980's pizza joint and then I think it would be crazy romantic. It's also quite loud just with the staff bantering about. Service: 4/5. They did what they were supposed to do and really nothing more. But, they did do what they were supposed to do. Food: I'm giving this a 5/5! It's hearty. It's well done. It's tasty. I left with left overs. (which after 2 nights in the fridge were still delicious when I reheated them) Cost: A perfect end of the non-pay week treat. Reasonable and hearty. We paid about $30 for our meal, which was ample.
