    Kale winter salad
    Ashley Y.

Ate here for the first time for Valentine's Day. The duck entree was delicious but at about $40 price tag, nothing I would come back for. Hubby had pork chop that was also good. The bread rolls were delicious and soft with 3 flavored butters/jams. Finally, we got a winter salad to share as an appetizer that was more to my husband's taste but was a good size. Service was good and the ambiance was very romantic and warm. Overall though, nothing would draw me back especially with food at this price tag.

Went for brunch today.. 10/10!! The service has been excellent each time I've gone, food and drinks were great for brunch! Great options for sweet and savory brunch!

Everything was amazing! Every person we encountered was cheerful and helpful. We had drinks and apps that were so delicious (tuna credo and the empanadas). The ambiance was cozy with a bar in the front and dining in the back. It felt like we were in a vintage home with decor to match. We will visit again when back to this area.

Look at that phat, tasty looking Wagyu Burger; and mushroom gnudi and squash soup in the backdrop.

Bloom Kitchen and Bar -- It's in downtown York, PA and in the space of the old Left Bank. The owners and management have done a fabulous job warming the place up -- it's has a really warm and cozy ambiance as they've painted the interior white and added some decorative window sectionals. The warmth is accentuated by the candles that light tables and common areas throughout the restaurant. Jeremy Smith is the General Manager of Bloom and he's a class act -- a charming, smiling and well dressed chap who makes the rounds and chats with the patrons. He gets it done too-- we asked for a special order of Irish coffees and he produced, with Bloom's special made whipped cream topping. Dinner was absolutely delicious. We ordered the oysters to start-- the oysters were from Canada. I cracked to Kayleigh our server, that these oysters could be one of the last orders of Canadian oysters before the 25% tariff kicks in on Canadian imports. Nonetheless, they were a tasty dozen, with the just peppery enough champagne mignonette. We had the octopus app, squash soup, quinoa cakes, steak, gnudi mushroom dish, and the wagyu burger. It was all scrumptious. I had the octopus and the wagyu burger as my dinner. The octopus was excellent -- they're not chintzy with the portions either -- some places you they give a 2cm slice off one of the arms and surround it with more onions, potatoes and gravy than octopus-- not at Bloom though! Good size octopus arms on the plate. The wagyu burger is mouth watering-- next time I'm getting two, not because the burger is small, but because it is that delicious! It's plump, juicy, with crisp lettuce and their own Bloom special jam! You have to try this place! It's a keeper!!

Grab your person and your appetite and head to Bloom. Seriously. Did you book your table yet? My hubby and I tried a few of the drinks...all of which were unique and beautifully crafted. We tried a bunch of apps, all of them were yummy and unique. The delmonico steak and the salmon were otherworldly. The char to the salmon was so flavorful and crisp and juicy at the same time. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection and packed in so many flavors. Staff was beyond accommodating, especially considering I was working with GF/DF allergies. ENJOY!

Such nice and thoughtful staff with great food! The whipped ricotta was my personal favorite but everything I had was worth talking about. Classy and beautiful aesthetic and perfect for a girls dinner.

They are a class act! Every staff member we have interacted with have all been professional & friendly. The restaurant has warm inviting decor & we love the bar area. Lots of great choices on the menu & wonderful daily specials. We love this restaurant so much that we hosted a baby shower may of 2026 in one of their upstairs private rooms. The event planner was great to work. She had wonderful suggestions on menu & set up. We chose a brunch buffet & added some of their appetizers & fresh fruit. We had rave reviews from all who attended on the venue, staff & food. We will continue to dine here and would highly recommend the space upstairs for private events. Ample parking - but one suggestion is make a reservation, as they are always busy

My wife had the fish and chips. Food was good and plentiful. Service was very good, ate with some old friends, there was no rush, they gave us plenty of space. The menu is varied, specials are not typical fare, but also do not become science projects like so many "creations" do. The food is left to speak for itself. Affordable. Two small criticisms, can be loud in certain areas. They are very accommodating in moving you. The parking lot. Walking over the bridge can be an issue with cars. Worth the trip.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

We went for lunch and it was not very busy so that was nice. We asked if we could eat outside and we were able to nab a seat there. We were seated a high table which was cool because we had a clear view of the street but was able to maintain staying in our little food bubble. When it came to order, we ended up ordering the Loaded Nachos for an appetizer and I ordered the Chicken Chesapeake with a baked potato and onion rings. I did order a drink but for the life of me, I can't remember which one. Please blame my foodie mind! (Haha!) The Loaded Nachos were good filled with white cheddar cheese sauce, tomato, jalapeno, black beans salsa, sour cream and chicken. It was good and the chicken was nicely seasoned and succulent. It was not chewy which is sometimes how chicken or any meat can be especially, when added to an appetizer like nachos. Unfortunately, I think that my biggest disappointment of this lunch was the Chicken Chesapeake. It came with a chicken breast, a 5 oz jumbo lump crab cake and mornay sauce. The chicken breast was just okay, it tasted bland as I think that maybe a little bit of salt and pepper could have helped. The jumbo lump crab cake was....okay, it was topped with the mornay sauce that was very tasty but the crab cake itself just fell apart. I didn't feel as though there was any structure to it and that with the amount of sauce on the crab cake and then the crab cake being too tender that it just falls apart...it wasn't a good mix. It felt like the crab cake was swimming in the sauce at the end, unfortunately. The mornay sauce tasted great with the mixture of cheeses so I really appreciated that. Besides the mornay sauce, the onion rings were another big favorite of mine. They were perfectly seasoned and crispy. I really liked the batter on the onion rings as I think it was executed perfectly and they helped to save the rest of the dish. Altogether, I'd enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. While one dish was lacking, the appetizer and my drink weren't. The prices were alright, a little steep but nothing I couldn't handle. The customer service was also really good as our waiter was kind and helped us with whatever we needed. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come back again to try other things off the menu.
