Came here for a private party for about 30 people, nearly all Russian, on a Saturday night. The ambiance was cozy and the stage and dance floor well done. There were numerous cold salads placed throughout the u-shaped table. My favorite was the avocado and shrimp. They were good at when to repeat. This was followed by a fish course, which included whole fish, a cheesy fish casserole-type dish, many cold fishes. he whole fish was my favorite and so fresh. But everything was good. This followed by a meat/poultry course. There were different meats including lamb. They also had duck. This was followed by assorted desserts (French macaroons, mini eclairs, lemon meringue tarts, etc.), blinis, and birthday cake. All was delicious and I ate too many! Service was attentive and the water jugs were constantly replenished. My only two minor complaints- (1) dishes came with a regular fork to serve. It would have been better to have oversized forks and large spoons for serving some of the dishes (ex, filleting the whole fish was a challenge withy a regular fork even though it was ore-cut) and (2) they did not change out the silverware during the meal. It would have been good to have a clean fork when changing from fish to meat, etc. One of the guests wanted 2 orders of potato latkes to go and offered to pay cash separately. The quickly and pleasantly accommodated her. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Just had dinner here. We were greeted with warmth and smiles by a nice gentleman. Nice atmosphere, very clean. We ate inside but they did have outdoor seating too. I had several authentic Russian dishes. Borshed, Fried potatoes with mushrooms, bleni with red caviar(sooooo goood!!) Olivye and a few other items I can't spell or pronounce. All very good! What a terrific surprise to find this "hidden gem" in Pikesville. Delicious food, outstanding service. Went there for the first time today and it was wonderful! Our server was very attentive and the food delicious. I had two appetizers chicken liver pate served in filo cups with the perfect blend of liver and onion and then the potato pancakes that were crispy but not oily served with a side of sour cream. Very tender and tasty allowing me room for the apple strudel that was crispy and tender pastry with plenty of apples and a side of vanilla ice cream. A very delicious lunch. The dinner menu looked very inviting with several things that caught my eye. Definitely going to return to try other items on the menu. I felt the prices were quite reasonable as well. read more

Came in during the week for lunch. The lunch deal was great - 3 substantial courses (salad, soup, and entree, plus drink) for $12.99. The fresh vegetable salad was tasty, matzoh ball soup was good, and the veal pelmini (little dumplings) were outrageously good. Highly recommend! read more

The great and tasty food, the cozy atmosphere and singing owners are definitely a BIG and very pleasant addition to Pikesville and Baltimore County. We had to "box" the half of split pea soup that we couldn't finish together, although it was delicious. Lamb shank portion was soooo big, and soooo delicious! We shared it also, and still weren't able to complete, so we "boxed" it, too. Apple strudel was also shared and eaten up to the last drop. Then Alla and Slava sung for everyone, and then there was a hot tea in special metal holders. Spoons, forks, knifes - everything looked like from the 1950-s. Such a unique dining experience right at home! We came for the first time tonight and I loved that they had a live singer. The decor was awesome and it felt very old-world. I had the solyanka and the lamb shank, and both were delicious. The potato pancakes were also absolutely worth getting. I could tell they really cares about the experience! I came to this restaurant for the first time and I had a great experience. The food was very good. I was never really sitting there bored because I kept eating. I had a ( large) bowl of matzo ball soup, crepes with red caviar, chicken with cherry sauce, and macarons. They were all delicious. The owner even sang a couple songs at the end of our meal which was lovely. She had a beautiful voice. Two other couples started to dance to the music and my parents even joined them which I thought was cute. It was a great night eating dinner and celebrating Father's Day. read more

I read reviews before we went . It was packed so we thought we would give it a try. I must have been in a completely different restaurant than the reviews were for. We sent the mussels in wine sauce back, they were mushy and very tiny. My halibut was all bones and we sent that back. The lamb chops were small and well done. We had an appetizer that was good. Had an office lunch there yesterday. Everything was delicious, served with a smile and the decor was very inviting. Borscht was hot and well spiced. Cheese dumplings were tender and served with sour cream. One of us had fish, another the lunch special chicken and one had the pan fried chicken. Entrees served with sides of rice or kasha and home made pickles. No complaints on anything. We will definitely be back. read more

First visit tonight. Food and service were excellent. Starters were Olivier salad, herring & potatoes, poached egg & gravlax and green salad (spinach & avocado). My wife and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary at Bravo. She is Russian and the food we ordered was as good as her grandmother's food. She had Crepes with Caviar, Cherry Vareniky. I had 1812 salad, Borscht and a Romanian Dish. All excellent and we couldn't believe the value. Our check was $60 tax included! (Also had Russian lemonade and Coffee). It's BYOB so we got wine at the wine store across the street.Excellent service, a must for Russian food. read more

Several weeks ago, my wife and I and another couple decided to try Bravo in Pikesville, MD. What a find!-The décor is magnificent as well as the food I shared the strawberry salad was unbelievable as well as the matzoh ball soup. Our friends are going to order it for Thanksgiving to serve to their guests- TWO of us ordered lamb chops , succulent with great vegetables. my friend and I ordered Branzinni The whole fish came out cooked to perfection For dessert we ordered a triple chocolate layer cake and the macaroons-4 different colors and flavors Did mention our server, he was excellent. He knew everything on the menu- Even made fresh ice tea-It was not on the menu- the prices are more than affordable- I asked to speak to the owner, and told her of our unbelievable experience- They have a band and karaoke on the weekends- There is something on this menu for everyone's taste. It's a new business It's nice to have great new place to dine that's that good- Support her-you will not be disappointed. Make a reservation.
