Good pizza, friendly service, and at a decent price. It is a good back-up to my primary pizza destination for sure. It would be Amy primary goto for my pizza need, but for the location. However, really good pizza and nice establishment to boot. Have not really sampled to much of their other fare though, but since they take care in the preparation of the pizza it would be a strong possibility that the rest of the menu should pass the muster at a minimum. Awesome pizza and Marco is a great host! I had the Hawaiian pizza and the pizza with bacon, chicken and mustard too which was magnificent but when I took a bite of my daughters white pizza with what tasted like ricotta cheese on it, that bite was amazing!!! I would highly recommend Marco's Pizza in York. I am from Maryland and consider myself a pizza connoisseur, and Marco's pizza was great. I told him to come to Montgomery County, Md, he could easily triple his prices and clean up! When the food is bad, the management blames the customer. Our food stromboli for 6 smelled and tasted like perfume or detergent and after waiting 45mins for delivery I had to return it to the store and all i got was a remake of the food, nothing for the inconvenience but blame on us; the customer and then being asked "what do you want for free" was the chief insult. What I was looking for was a bit of sympathy and for them to "make it right" but their arrogance and inability see it from a customers standpoint was appalling. The closest place that delivered to our friends place was this Marcello's and we didn't want to go out so we picked up the phone. The food portions were very large, but the chicken cheesesteak and cheese fries were just your basic pizza shop fare, nothing special. I would probably order from them again since they got the order right and were faster than they said they would be over the phone. But you get what you pay for. Their prices are lower than others in the area and that may be why they are popular. read more

Still our family's go to place to eat out. The customer service is great, even when they are super busy. Today, 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids) had lunch here. Our order consisted of, 1 kid's cheese pizza, 1 lasagna, 1 spaghetti w/ meat sauce, and 2 fettuccine alfredo. Salads and bread came shortly after we ordered. Everything was fresh! When the main entrées came out both alfredo dishes had very al dente pasta. The server quickly took care of this, and fresh alfredo was soon on its way. The owner sent 2 cannoli to our table along with the steaming hot, creamy alfredo. It is easy to see why Marcos is a busy place! This was our first time there. We were not sure what the process was ( order then pay?). We hesitated and no one bothered to acknowledge us. They were busy cleaning and chatting with each other. Finally we asked where we should place an order and a young girl helped us. After placing the order we looked for a clean table however there were none. We took the least dirty table and wiped off the crumbs and liquid. There did seem to be 2 older people working with all young kids. I would have to say I would not return. These folks always rock it. You can't beat the lunch special, the staff are great, it's fast, and they aim to please. Most of all, the food is consistently delicious. Love the new place, too. Incidentally, for the first 6-7 years of my son's life he had a dairy allergy which made family pizza dining difficult. The guys at Marco's always welcomed us though, and we'd bring soy cheese which they'd be more than happy to make my boy his own little pizza. First time review. DO NOT waste your money at this establishment. Phoned an order for delivery. Three sandwiches and a salad. Took over one hour for delivery. ... I had to call to remind them of my order. Results were cold food. Fries that tasted as if they had already been reheated. When I made the reminder call the excuse was that they "got backed up." Very reasonable price and fed 6 people for dinner and breakfast leftovers. Very good Stromboli, good bread and the right ratio of meat to dough. If there were 10 stars on a review I would give it to Marco's for customer service. As first time visitors to Marco's we left feeling less than excited about returning. The food was very good but our service that night wasn't. My husband ate alone because my food did not come until he was almost done. After giving a low 2 star review, that same night we received a call from Vito explaining why my meal selection took the length of time that it did in comparison to my husband's. After that call we understood it was not due to poor service; but, an honest explanation by Vito was not enough. He insisted we come back to dine again so that he could make a good experience for us. If you order only from the menu and not a pizza you like or make changes to a sub it's still the most awesome place around but the second you place a custom order it gets screwed up. We've been ordering since a year before they moved and it was ALWAYS perfect and delicious. The last 4 times we've ordered something has been made wrong, as in ordering a classic philly and getting one with tomato sauce. Sauce on a cheesesteak turns it into trash for me. I ordered a veggie stromboli (broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese and sauce) and had pepperoni added to it. It was horrible. The mushrooms obviously came out of a can, the spinach was black and tough so it was either really old or from a can and the broccoli also appeared to be frozen or from a can. Do not eat here! Charged a friend twice for the same meal, when presented with the bank statement PROVING what my friend was claiming the owner still denied it and refused to refund her money.
